As the flames from the exploded warehouse receded into the night, Xander and the remaining rebels made their way through the shadowed streets of Mooncrest, moving with a sense of urgency and purpose. Their hearts were heavy with the loss of Jax, but the resolve to fight on burned brighter than ever. The night air was thick with the smell of smoke and rebellion.

Finally, they reached their rendezvous point – an old, abandoned building that served as a makeshift headquarters. Berek was there, waiting anxiously for their return. His face, usually stoic, betrayed a flicker of concern as he saw the group approach.

Xander, his clothes torn and bloodstained, stepped forward. "We hit the warehouse," he began, his voice carrying a mix of triumph and sorrow. "But it cost us. Jax didn't make it."

Berek's expression tightened. "Jax..." he muttered, a note of respect in his voice. "He was a good soldier. Did we at least get the weapons?"
