As morning light began to filter through the layers of snow above them, Atheria and Xander started the laborious process of digging their way out of the underground shelter they had constructed the previous night. The cold bit at their fingers, but the thought of resuming their journey to the Cold Mountains spurred them on.

Finally breaking through to the surface, they were greeted by a landscape transformed. The blizzard had passed, leaving behind a pristine blanket of snow that stretched as far as the eye could see, the early morning sun casting a glittering sheen over it.

"Look at this," Xander exclaimed, his breath forming clouds in the cold air. "It's like the world started fresh overnight. Damn blizzard might've frozen my balls off, but you've got to admit, it's beautiful."

Atheria couldn't help but smile, despite the chill. "It's breathtaking. But let's not linger too long admiring the view. We've got monks to find and a long road ahead."
