The night air was cool as Xander crouched atop a hill, his eyes fixed on the distant gold mine that lay beneath the sprawling canvas of stars. The mine was an imposing sight, its entrance flanked by towering watchtowers that stood sentinel against the ink-black sky. The harsh glow of torches and lanterns illuminated the area, revealing the presence of armored guards patrolling the perimeter.

Lyra stood beside him, her voice low and grave as she pointed toward the mine. "Those slaves down there," she said, her voice tinged with sadness, "they work day and night, given only an hour of sleep. They toil endlessly, their lives bound to the hidden hands' insatiable greed for gold."

Xander's eyes followed her gesture, and he could make out the hunched figures of countless slaves laboring tirelessly in the depths of the mine. They were like shadows, their silhouettes stark against the flickering torchlight. It was a grim sight, one that stirred anger within him.
