Inside the dungeon cell, Xander and Atheria were keenly aware of the distant sounds of battle resonating through the stone walls. The muffled clashing of steel, the faint roars of what could only be the giants, and the occasional rumble of explosions told them that the attack on Mooncrest had begun.

"Sounds like the shit's hit the fan out there," Xander remarked dryly, his ears tuned to the chaos above.

Atheria, pacing the cell, nodded in agreement. "Richard's forces must have started their assault. It won't be long before Marvin drags us out of here."
