Marc stopped by the office to try to work while it was time to meet with the notary, and with Marlon, he added bitterly. It was impossible for her to concentrate with all the things on her mind, nor to successfully complete her tasks without the help of Nick as a secretary or Hugo as an assistant.

Things didn't work out either the first or the second. I was trying to work without my right hand being right handed. It had been a stupid impulse to throw Hugo out. She should have at least told him to finish his work, so as not to leave anything undone, and then already hinted that he should take a vacation.
