After several days of travel, Tian Fan and Lien Wei finally exited the Fire Valley. They weren't in a hurry to return to the capital.

"Tian Fan, what are your plans now? The entrance exams for the Sun Sect are still about a month away," Lien Wei asked.

"I think I'll visit the Lotus Pavilion first to buy some herbal ingredients and go to the royal library. What about you, Lien Wei?"

"Of course, I'll accompany you," he replied promptly.

"Do you not want to go back and wait at your residence? I'll join you when it's time for the exams. How does that sound?"

"No, I'd rather go with you. In fact, I'd be bored if I went back home, and don't tell me to go home alone; we'll return together. My house is your house, too, my friend. If I go back without you, my father will be furious."

"Oh, right, I forgot. I'm sure a lot of people will be waiting for you if we go back together. I don't want to be the target of all kinds of questions," Tian Fan said hesitantly.
