Chapter #9: New Training Companions

The entire Silver Wolf pack had their realm increased by one level after consuming the medicinal food made by Tian Fan. Tian Fan noticed that most of the pack was now at the early to mid stages of their realm. The leader of the pack had received a slight boost from the medicinal food, bringing him closer to the mid-level Earth Realm. The Silver Wolf pack now had two beasts at the initial Earth level, with the rest at the Fighter Realm. Tian Fan had earned the trust of the pack and was considered a part of it, recognized for his strength, which was among the top three in the group.

---

Six full moons passed, and Tian Fan had begun to effectively communicate with his new friends. He had given names to each Silver Wolf to facilitate better interaction. The leaders of the pack were named Shandian and Rain, and thanks to Tian Fan, both had reached the intermediate level of the Earth Realm. Tian Fan himself was now at the late Black Realm. The presence of the pack had greatly aided him in strengthening his foundation through numerous battles.

Tian Fan did not shy away from helping his new friends become stronger. Over the past six months, he had managed to elevate the entire herd by one level. During this period, the Silver Wolf pack had become the strongest in the Inner Forest. As beasts, their instinct was to dominate and expand their territory. Tian Fan was indifferent to this, recognizing it as a natural part of a beast’s life cycle. As long as their relationship was beneficial to him, he didn’t mind it. The battles fought by the pack provided Tian Fan with spoils, as victorious battles often brought rewards in the form of defeated beasts.

---

A week had passed since the Silver Wolf pack had left. Tian Fan had been occupied with various medicinal concoction experiments, thanks to the large supply of medicinal plant materials he had. If the pack managed to enter the central area, Tian Fan could search for more medicinal plants. The central area of the Red Forest was known for its rare medicinal plants, which piqued Tian Fan’s curiosity.

Tian Fan sensed many auras approaching and recognized a familiar one. He knew Shandian and his pack had returned from their hunt. Tian Fan emerged from his cave, only to discover that the Silver Wolf pack had returned injured. Only Shandian and Rain had returned unharmed. Of Shandian and Rain's ten subordinate wolves, only seven had returned, though they were injured.

Without delay, Tian Fan treated the seven injured Silver Wolves, whom he considered friends. After addressing their wounds, he inquired about the whereabouts of the missing three wolves: Qin Fang, Qin Feng, and Qin Rou.

"Where are Qin Fang, Qin Feng, and Qin Rou?" Tian Fan asked using a code. Shandian looked in a specific direction. Observing Shandian’s body language, Tian Fan signaled to Rain and Shandian to show him where the missing wolves were.

Tian Fan followed Shandian, with Rain trailing behind. After half a day's journey, they arrived at the location where the other three beasts were found seriously injured. Qin Fang, Qin Feng, and Qin Rou were in a pitiful state. The wounds on them suggested two different types of attacks. It appeared they had been ambushed by another beast on their way back. Noting their deteriorating condition, Tian Fan quickly administered some anti-poison pills. After some time, he managed to stabilize them temporarily. What mattered most was that they were no longer in critical condition.

Curious about the injuries, Tian Fan traced the blood spatter left behind and followed it to where the three beasts had been attacked. From the traces and remains of the battle, it was clear that they had fought with a pack of hyena beasts. The hyenas, attracted by the smell of blood and the sight of the injured wolves, had intended to make the Silver Wolves their prey but apparently failed.

Hyena beasts not only hunt in packs but also have poisonous bites. After identifying the type of poison that had afflicted Qin Fang, Qin Feng, and Qin Rou, Tian Fan returned to their location. Seeing that their condition had improved slightly, he and the five Silver Wolves made their way back to the cave where Tian Fan lived.

On the slightly extended journey home due to the injured beasts, Tian Fan collected some medicinal plants. Accompanied by Shandian, he explored several areas in the forest.

“Grrrr,” Shandian growled and looked in a specific direction. Tian Fan, detecting the smell of blood in the air, followed Shandian. They discovered a group of hyena beasts, averaging entry and middle-level combatants.

Without hesitation, Shandian charged at the hyena herd, and Tian Fan joined the battle. His eagerness to fight had been building up, as it had been a while since he had participated in a fierce battle since joining the Silver Wolf pack. Due to the significant difference in strength, Shandian and Tian Fan quickly defeated the pack of hyenas.

Tian Fan collected body parts from several hyena beasts to use in making anti-venom pills.

“Hee… lpp…”

Tian Fan and Shandian turned toward the source of the sound. Shandian was ready to attack, but Tian Fan stopped him and approached the origin of the sound. There, he found two people lying seriously injured. A young man and woman were unconscious and covered in scratches and bites. The young man had severe wounds with torn flesh on his thighs, while the young woman was in worse condition, with a gaping wound in her stomach and intestines nearly exposed.

Tian Fan immediately provided first aid, closing the wounds and temporarily stopping the bleeding. He asked Shandian to carry the injured individuals on his back and took them both to his cave. Upon arrival, Tian Fan placed them on his bed and searched their storage bags for healing pills. After finding several bottles of healing pills and administering them, he discovered that they had no effect on the severity of their wounds.
