Impatient of a Girl who was Fed up with Eagerness

Chapter 4 Impatient of a girl who was fed up with eagerness.

Morning comes, and the sound of the bird chirping next to the Lockwood village. Igashu can be seen strolling across the Chanty village, whistling when he notices a heavy panting sound inside the emptied Townley, he was impatient over his curiosity and decided to raid inward. He gently took a slight step forward as he overstepped inside the door, rooming each quarter. When he reached the bottom of the room, he opened the door and saw a glimpse of a weakling dragon, wounded from the attack, and crunching on its back. Her head was unable to turn after being tangled into a giant rope around her neck, bruises can be caught a glimpse of all over her scale, and her tail was wagging, a warning for Igashu who was interfering with her hideaway.

Igashu's P.O.V

The line that comes out of my head.

"She's very fascinating, I can't resist myself but fell in love with this stunning creature." Behind those bruises she gained, her aura outshines her wounds and captures my eyes the most. I can tell she's a female dragon from her size, smaller than the male serpents but has active reflexes when it comes to sensing danger or when someone approaches them from their rest. Even if she's outnumbered by a thunder or a group of dragons, she has the chance to win the fight unless she's wounded like this.

Her eyes were filled with gloom just like Moirai's, I was standing next to her, weak and injured. I slightly crunch down, as I held her in my hand to notify her that she was safe as long as it was me. But unfortunately, she nibbles effortlessly but still got my palm bleed. I sigh as I sit next to her, staring at her eyes that gaze from mine.

The moon emerged as expected, Cyrus and Moirai must be waiting for me, I had got to go back and return at dawn to at least feed this dragon who seemed to be unable to return from her den. I perked and left the room in darkness, leaving someone behind.

Naomi: Where are the others? I prepared the food for us.

Igashu: They are not home yet?

Naomi: Hmm… I thought the three of you were together, leaving me behind without notice.

Igashu: I'll pass this time, I don't have an appetite to eat today. (Left)

Naomi: why? ( turns to Igashu )

(No response)

Naomi: What is wrong with these people?!

Naomi was busy mumbling about the three of them when Cyrus appeared out of nowhere. "Cyrus, your home, where is Moirai?" Naomi raised a question. But Cyrus was shown a trembling expression in front of Naomi, making her worried. "What happened to you?! Are you alright!?" She yells while putting her hands on Cyrus' arm, caressing him with worry.

(Sigh) "Nothing, I was in a hurry to take a dung, so please excuse me for a while" (fake smile with sweat on his face) he replied. "Does he really have to say it out loud instead of running himself to the bathroom?! These people are out of control! I mean, are they even human?! " she exclaimed. "What happened to you, Naomi? What's with that face?" Moirai asked. "Finally we're all here, I was hungrily waiting for your return, let's dig in-" her phrase was halted after Moirai interrupted her. "I am actually not eating today, I don't have an appetite, and also, Cyrus was having a stomach ache and he told me he's not eating as well, so please excuse me. Thank you" she added. She cracks up at her spot, glaring at their quarters as they leave her on the scene. "If I knew you were not eating, I would have washed away the entire meal instead of loitering for the three of you to return! Darn it!" She said, slamming the door.

Cyrus P.O.V

When Igashu collapsed after seeing a serpent for the first time, Moirai, that night took off herself to the village of the dead, confronting the creature who happens to appear for the first time after how many years have passed. She pushed herself into danger to uncover other dragons who were lost after the slaughter. I tried to stop her but she was into her will, seeing our kind for the first time after we took ourselves into separation. I know it was a difficult decision but it has to be like this. Otherwise, our kind will become extinct if ever they will find out where we were all hiding. Moirai chooses to leave and was asking me to stay and watch over our clan inside the Lockwood village. At that time, I knew there will be circumstances we will be facing and her decision will lead us this way, tracking down and communicating with other dragons sometimes needs to shift yourself into your original dragon form to make it faster and easier. That way, she could put danger in her life, and she could be caught by the guards who are lurking at night, or either she could turn feral after forcing herself to perform a shapeshifting method. That time when she saved Igashu, we were lucky enough that we were not caught by the wardens because of the heavy rain. But this time, the threat could be taunting us. I spent my time searching for her but I failed in finding her. The night came and I had to head back home, still, no appearance of Moirai was seen. I was getting worried and decided to lure the kids to avoid suspiciously, I shape-shifted myself and borrowed Moirai's human form. After entering the room, I jumped out of the window to act as if Moirai had returned. But I was getting skeptical, thinking about what could have happened to her, I had to go find her before anyone could.

End of Cyrus P.O.V

That night was filled with uneasiness, quoting their mind the word "Why and what could have happened" Igashu was looking for Moirai whom he was unable to notice when he arrives, while Cyrus was looking for Moirai, unable to find her as well after she went out the night after Igashu went to the village of the dead. Naomi was curious about the three of them, leaving and returning late at night without even having a proper meal together.

Meanwhile at the Akkad palace. "How did it go?" King Guanyin asked, side-eyeing his servant. "We were unable to capture the creature, it was too strong to make it faint, your highness, we apologize for acting recklessly." A phrase from his servant was uttered. "Keep looking for that creature, once it's captured, we will take it to the Elba empire and trade it for them and ask for a companion against the Subartu empire." The king said, resting his hands behind his back. "Yes, your highness. I shall announce your order to the general" (bows) ''You can leave and return once you have prepared good news for me." The king added. "Yes, your highness, at your service" he replied. Amaya who was eavesdropping on their conversation hurriedly runs to the prince's quarters and announces to him the information about the king's motive relating to the dragons. "Greetings to the royal family of the Akkad empire, Your royal highness, Amaya is here to see you" one of the royal maids announces. "Let her in," he replied. Amaya was then sent inside the prince's quarters and said. "The king was secretly hunting a dragon. I heard they almost captured one of the serpents but failed to imprison it. I bet it was a female dragon due to its dominant behavior. Female dragons are known to be more powerful, skillful, and wise once an attacker approaches their territory." Prince Artemis reveals displeasure on his face after giving attention to the news from Amaya. "We will be hunting that serpent at dawn before father obtains it early." He replied. "Then, I shall be ready and pack your things young master" Amaya added while Prince Artemis nodded as he ambled his step away.

Meanwhile, Igashu was creeping from his quarters, tiptoeing as he strode away from their domicile, sneaking food with him and embarking himself to the Chanty village. When he reaches inside, sneaking as he moves toward the button of the room, unfolding on what's the door, uncovering the injured serpent. "Hey, it's me. I brought you some food, here eat it, it's for you" he mumbles. The serpent then sniffs the bag Igashu handed and begins to eat only the fish. "Do you like fish as well? Moirai loves to eat them too, same as Cyrus," he murmurs. "It was their favorite meal, while Naomi and I enjoyed eating fresh fruits and vegetables, " he added. "I was not able to eat with them since the three of us were not complete as we dined at the table. I felt sorry for Naomi. I ignored her effort" he mumbles back. "What's your name by the way? Can you communicate as humans do? Can you link your thoughts with me?" He asked but the serpent did not reply but took all of her attention in munching the food provided by Igashu.

"Can you at least notice me?" He added in a dreadful tone, tilting his head to the serpent. (Gazing) "oh? Did you just stare at me? You understood me right?!" He exclaimed. (Cracks) "shh," Igashu and the serpent paused after hearing a sound outside "Igashu! Where are you? Igashu! Are you with Cyrus and Moirai?! Come out!" It was Naomi, lurking outside the Chanty village, calling out Igashu's name. "Come on, I can't get inside this haunted village, there's no way he's in there, maybe they went to the White bridge village" mumbling. (Sigh) "Gosh, I thought she'll find us here" Igashu chuckled after hearing the dragon purring.

The next day. "Cyrus, where is Moirai? I haven't seen her yesterday until now" Igashu asked. "Prince Artemis asked for her companion, I think she'll be staying with the prince for a while." He replied. "Is that so?" He consulted while Cyrus nodded. "Okay then, I'll be leaving for a while," Igashu added. "Where are you going!?" Cyrus raised a question. "Meeting some friend of mine, I guess" Igashu responded. "Okay then, don't come late this time," Cyrus added. Each dawn when Igashu creeps outside to accompany his friend, the dragon. He brought her food and beverages and some medicine for healing her wounds. It took three weeks spent hanging out early in the morning, and the two of them developed a friendship in just a short period of time.

Igashu's P.O.V

It has been a while, spent my days with someone like her. I guess I have forgotten to accomplish something. What was it again? The reason why I came here?

"Igashu Cassius" I was talking to myself when I heard a voice, deep and loud. "You have owned my trust, I shall grant you bliss and take you as a dragon rider, you have been chosen" I was roaming my eyes inside the room to reveal who was chattering but I notice the dragon who was crouching in front of me, staring right next into my eye in a straight face. "Was it you who was talking to me?" I asked. "It's impossible, there's no way it was her-" my phrase was interrupted after a word was uttered. "Foolishness, it was my voice linking into your head" I was dumb mute after hearing her voice echoing inside of my head. "We Linked with our possessor to transmit secrets, only the two of us can heed to what we were talking about." She added. "Then can I link my thoughts to yours as well?" I asked. "Yes indeed." She replied. I was thinking of a word I can link when she cracked up. "What's with the laugh?" I was dumbfounded when I realized I sent her embarrassing memories. "Did you just imagine something erotic?" She chuckles. "Who was that lady you were thinking of?" She added. "How do I stop linking with you?" I was annoyed after a discomfiting moment.

"All of your thoughts will be linked to mine as long as I am in my dragon form." She replied. "What do you mean?" I consulted. "Once I shapeshifted myself into human form, the link will be disabled and restored once I turn myself into a dragon form." She responded. "Why not turn yourself into human form and-" my phrase was halted as she uttered a word. "I'm afraid I might turn into a feral," she mumbles. "You were right, I forgot about the ferals, so what's your plan?" I implored. "I need to heal myself before turning into a human form. In addition, I will be leaving this town and I will be returning to my place, the village of the dead." She expanded. "I respect your decision, but I promise we will meet again when the weather is fine," I answered back. "It was a pleasant accident meeting someone like you" is a phrase that will dwell inside my head after she utters her message. "It was nice meeting you, Epala"

Her eyes smile after taking notice of me putting her a title. She nodded her head while I took myself a run to her, cuddling her warm scale. "Thank you for giving me a title, I will cherish it forever" she added. I nodded as I took her in a warm embrace, gleaming from our ears as we took a laugh.

Meanwhile, Prince Artemis was strolling down late at night, searching for a dragon with Amaya. Sneaking out while wearing civilian clothing, impersonating a low-life title. As they stroll beyond the Townley near the white bridge village, Amaya notices an odd sensation, as if someone was watching them from afar, she draws her sword behind the prince as it tried to wreck them unconsciously, but Amaya was quick enough to catch sight of, she instantly swings her blade in the air, skimming like a flash, bending one of her knees while her arm was left above the air after twirling her blade. A drop of blood drips on someone's shoulder, showing a grin look on his face, tilting his head above and glaring at Amaya. He chuckles, revealing a sinister smile while crouching behind with his sword laid to rest on the ground, shivering. "You never dissatisfy me every time we welcome each other, and that's the best part of why I love you" he mumbles. A trudging noise was heard, greeting the suspicious man with his blade being swung above the air, cutting his head horizontally. "Never mistreat Amaya in front of me" the prince mumbled, revealing a straight face with a huskiness tone of his voice. The prince left effortlessly and proceeded to stride along. "I beg your pardon young master, I should have slain that man and prevented you from yanking your blade" Amaya whimpers. "Amaya, I'm not in the mood to chatter a nonsense conversation, let's focus on tracking down that serpent" he mumbles back. "Yes, young master," she added.

Epilogue

Moirai's P.O.V The night before she disappeared.

I sneak out late at night when Cyrus approaches me. "Moirai, what are you going to do?!" I spoke nothing to him, he kept throwing questions, turning them into his tantrums. "Moirai! Will you listen to me?! You know the circumstances! You knew it yourself! So why are you putting our lives in danger!? What if they caught you in the middle of the night?! Moirai I beg you to at least be patient. This is not the right time to meet the rest of our kind!" He mumbles. "Cyrus, you knew the reason why I had to go, so why would you raise a question in front of me? Our family went missing after the slaughtering!" I clench my teeth after responding to his phrase. "Moirai, have you forgotten? Even before the slaughtering, your family was already missing" he whimpers. "Don't you dare use your tongue to question me, Cyrus. You knew nothing but a mere rumor about my family! You knew nothing all along!" I amble my step further and added. "Follow me and I'll never come back. Instead, focus on watching our people, they need you here." I left after mumbling a phrase.

I forge myself to turn into a dragon form near the White bridge village, behind those huge trees I commence. I soar above the surface and glide in a subtle way when all of a sudden, a spear happens to appear in front of me. After maneuvering myself to associate with a particular place, I forgot to protect myself from where I was, my reflex was immobilized after I forced myself to concentrate on locating the energy of a dragon figure. Around the Virgin aisle village, I knocked over. A netting was wrapped around my scale, causing me to be paralyzed in veering. A heavy chain was wrapped around my neck and torso to stop me from fleeing. A wooden whack behind my back and nape caused me to bleed. I shove myself away, shattering the netting into pieces as well as the chain. The guards went flying after I launched myself to soar high enough above the ground, gliding across the Chanty village to withhold my presence. I was badly injured after the attack and spent the rest of the night inside the Chanty Village. In the morning, I noticed a strange feeling, an aura was lurking outside, peeking from the villagers crossing across the village. I tried to peep from the outside when I howled in pain from the bruises I got, leading that person to approach inside. But I can feel a heartwarming impression inside his bosom. That was when I realized it was Igashu who happened to catch me, right-handedly. I took a bite when he tried reaching for mine, making him shed a drop of blood.
