Chapter one

‘Your resemblance is out of this world. You can be useful if your brother is too stubborn to do it.’

Miller sighed as he stood in front of the crowd; lost in his own thoughts…. An incident that happened six years ago.

The men in front of him were soldiers and as he walked around, they all saluted him.

As Miller expected, convoys of black cars filled the place, causing him to smirk. As he walked over to the car, he heard a voice behind him. “I thought you changed your mind after last night's discussion. And, are you still keeping your position as the Almighty General a secret or….?” One of the supreme rulers asked Miller who opened his car door.

The middle-aged man didn't dare look up at Miller, his tone filled with respect.

Miller had ruled greatly in the past years and it was more reason why he and the other rulers behind him wanted him to remain in the east province rather than going back to his hometown, Fox River.

There were about 12 rulers, each representing the 12 calendar months and were all given the title as God Of War.

The power of life and death were in their hands, plus they oozed extraordinary power and wealth. Still, none was a match for the young man standing in front of them.

Miller kept a straight face as he got into his car and shut his door. Without looking at them, he replied, “Just like always, keep my face out of the media until I oppose that.”

His flight back to Fox River was in an hour.

It's been six years since he left Fox River; the city where he lost his parents and his twin brother went Mysteriously missing after an attack. Though he managed to escape after cutting the leader's palm off; along with his mother who was bleeding from her head.

He pleads for his boss' family to help save his dying mother. But they had their conditions; Which he didn't think twice in accepting as his mother was the last relative he probably had left.

The Grant family was to enroll a male child to the army, as it was the tradition in their family, and they couldn't object even if they wanted to.

The upcoming war was going to be brutal and they didn't wanna lose any of their sons in the battlefield and when Miller came pleading, they saw that as a perfect solution to their worries as the time was ticking and they needed to provide their son in less than 20 hours.

Miller wasn't part of the family as he was just a mere driver, so they got him to get married to their second granddaughter, Megan so he could be part of the family and take their male child's place.

They promised to clear his mother's bills, and since Miller was desperate for the cash, he accepted.

Quickly, Miller the family driver, was set to wed Megan. The news struck the city, causing Megan to be the laughing stock of the entire city.

On the night of their wedding, drunk and half unconscious, Megan took the initiative to undress and pull Miller to the bed.

The next morning, Miller heard of his mother's death, plus his enrollment in the army. He couldn't object, the Grant family played their part in paying her bills, he had to play his own part. So, he got enlisted in the army and that lasted for six years.

Throughout his stay in the army, Miller had endured death threats, torture but what kept him going was this day; going back to his wife, Megan and also looking for his missing twin brother.

In the space of 6 years, he had turned from a poor driver to not just a Supreme General but also a multi trillionaire.

Miller's private jet landed at the airport, and as he stepped out, he got into his already waiting Rolls-Royce.

“Welcome General,” Nora, his assistant, bowed as she sat next to him while the car moved. “Um… boss, this is the report from your company this week.” She handed him a brown file.

Miller turned to her calmly, “Listen…While we are in Fox River, you are to address me by my name…Especially around other people.”

Nora swallowed hard, “Yes, sir…” She felt his intimidating aura and the seriousness in his tone. She didn't like the idea, but she dares not disobey.

“Lastly, I need the information of the bastards that got my parents killed. I mean, all of them… get their information to me, in less than 12 hours.”

She nodded. She had prepared everything he instructed her, plus the cab that was to take him down to where he wanted to go.

In less than an hour, they arrived in front of the taxi. Miller didn't say a word to her, he stepped out of the car, and got into the taxi.

The convoy of cars behind him took the other direction, while the small taxi took the U-turn.

Soon, the driver stops at the gate of the Grant family's building. As Miller walked into the place, he recalled Megan's words, ‘You could have stopped me.’

They were both drunk for different reasons. She never wanted to get married to their driver, while Miller just wanted to see his mother alive. Though she took the first step and lost her virginity to him, he still loved her throughout his stay in the army. Even when he was being taken away, Megan had this hope to see him again no matter how long he stayed in the army.

The house seemed to be empty, well expect, there was a little something happening in the kitchen.

“Should I serve mine as well, uncle?!” He heard a tiny girl's voice from the kitchen.

“If you have a death wish, try!” Miller heard a voice upstairs respond to the little girl. He couldn't help but recognize that the voice belonged to Paxton, Megan's immediate brother.

Everywhere went silent then Miller walked carefully to the kitchen area, wondering who had that tiny voice.

Miller stood close to the entrance, his eyes glaring at the little girl of five or six years old who was serving several bowls of chicken soup on different plates.

She didn't seem to be struggling in serving like kids her age, plus, she seems to be used to it, more like she was the one who even prepared the food. Miller was tempted to go give a helping hand but the little girl was quick. For a skinny looking kid, she was strong.

Miller's eyes scanned the girl’s face, and couldn't help but notice the gray Mark on her neck. Plus, the uncanny resemblance between her and Megan.
