Linda's POV:

As the cab driver drove away he stopped me at a nearby hotel and I booked a room and slept there for the day and returned back home in the morning.

There were no reporters in the front gate.

Unfortunately for me, I miscalculated the time David would go to work because when I opened the door there he was walking towards the main door.

I couldn't run.

"Where are you coming from?" He asked in a suspicious voice.

"I quit my job and when I returned yesterday there was a crowd of reporters outside. I went to spend the night at a hotel." I told him and showed him the receipt.

"Get out of my way." He hissed as I moved aside and he walked out of the house and I exhaled sharply.

I thought he was going to start any arguments with me.
