Bedouin!

After gaming away their worries, they strolled around the mall.

Sarah eyes sparkled, she stared at the latest winter attire behind the glass frame. Unconsciously, she wandered inside. Draven left in the background humoured and followed her.

Her eyes grazed the file of clothes, searching for the particular outfit, she saw outside. She ran and felt the soft woollen fabric against her cheek. She flipped the price tag, her face shrank like a deflated balloon and with a hunch, she dragged her feet.

She sighed, glancing down at her own jacket riddled with tiny holes, patched by her unskilled hands.

Every day, she worked and worked. After a long day, she could only sustain her daily bread after paying an exorbitant yet unreasonable protection fee. As a homeless yet ordinary girl, life wasn't fair, but she had to make the best out of it. Gluing the cracks in her armour.

She clenched her hands and whispered to herself "My luck is finally turning around!" thinking about yesterday’s events. Taking one last look, she said "Stay right there! Next month, you will be mine!"

Out of her thought, she looked around and blushed, Draven stood behind her with a meaningful smile. ‘Did he hear me, say that?’

Draven grasped her hand, said "Come on let's go! I need your opinion!"

Draven dragged her to the changing rooms. He asked her to choose some for herself. Draven tried a few clothes and bought them while Sarah stood at the side. "Draven go easy…"

Understanding her worry, Draven calmly replied "It's alright, I have enough! Are you sure you don't want anything? I can afford it!"

She shook her head "No, thanks! I will buy some other day…"

A troupe of security guards in navy blue uniforms confronted them. A guard said "Please come with us"

Draven said "What for?"

"Come, don't blame me for being rude" a guard said.

Another guard said "You are under arrest for fighting and disturbing the peace within the mall"

A couple of guards raised their batons and activated their powers.

Vernon said "Don't fight back, they are all level 3 and the leader is level 4!"

"So what? I can easily upgrade my power level to level 3" Draven said.

Vernon said "No, you can't afford a level 3 and there is a big difference between level 1 and 4"

"What!!!  You mean I can lose!"

"There is a 20% chance you will survive if you run and a 7% chance if you fight" Vernon calculated.

"Is there anything that will give me a huge power up or something" Draven said, gritting his teeth, while glancing at Sarah. ‘Should I run? No. I can’t... wouldn’t I be a scum if I did after all she has done for me?’

‘There has to be another way!’ Draven contemplated his options.

Sarah shook his shoulder, said "Draven, please let's just go with them!"

A bright light fell on them, a melodious voice said "Hold it right there!"

The lights dimmed, two files of guards marched forward and split to the sides, as a girl strutted from the middle, her golden locks bounced against her shoulder.

The guards growled like rabid dogs “Who the f* are you? How dare you aid these two…"

She shouted "Silence!"

They quietened down. She opened her purse, and pulled out a slate of marble, a white lion projected with a thunderous roar, showing off the regal crest of her family.

In disbelief, they blurted "Miss Alexyav"

With an awkward chuckle, the captain stepped forward. “Ugh… Miss… is there anything wrong?”

"Is there anything wrong? Of course, there is something wrong" she said.

"Few hours ago, I saw something interesting" she said glancing at Sarah.

"Uhh" The captain gulped under her accusing stare.

"And when my frie…” she paused, thinking of a way to address Draven and Sarah. “My schoolmates were in trouble, where were you?"

He said "Well, we weren't there at the scene but we have received reports of them…"

She questioned him "From who? I myself was there and saw your men loafing around. I even have the video to prove it."

She continued "My father is one of the major shareholders of this mall. Dare to lie to me again? and I swear, I will make your already shitty lives shit!"

They crawled on their knees and begged "Please, please Miss. Spare us Miss Alexyav, we will do anything!"

A hand on her chin, she said "I wonder what should I do with such worthless dogs?"

She glanced at Draven and Sarah, hinting them to speak with her eyes.

Flustered, Sarah stuttered "Miss, I don't think... I want them to do anything for me... since they didn't hurt us in anyway..."

Draven wanted to say something completely outlandish and rip them off clean; but since his elder sister has spoken, he swallowed words.

The girl nodded, said "You really have a good heart, but are you sure you don't want to punish them?" while internally, she was fascinated by her pure heart.

Sarah nodded, to confirm her decision.

The guards hearing the conversation, truly regretted for not protecting such a sweetheart but were filled with immerse gratitude. 'Maybe, we will be left off lightly!' they thought collectively.

"Okay, I won't kill them but from today onwards they are no longer guards of the Crezix Mall and are black listed forever!" she declared, pouring a bucket of cold water.

Her bodyguard teleported in front of them and handcuffed them and teleported them in a frame of second.

She signalled with her hand, the guard around her, made themself scarce and blended with the customers while vigilantly tagged behind their lady and her company.

A troupe of girls separated from the crowd and joined her.

Sarah ran towards her with Draven. "Thank you for helping us, Miss"

Swaying her hand, she said "It wasn't a big deal... besides you did me a favour!"

Her regal aura shifted into a friendly and welcoming one, she said "By the way don't call me Miss"

"My name is Livia Alexyav. Just call me, Livia"

Sarah said "Thank you, Livia"

Livia said "You don't need to thank me. if it really bothers you then join me for lunch"

"So, what is your names?" Livia asked.

Sarah introduced Draven and herself to her helpers.

They chatted, while heading to the food court.

Instead of stopping at the third floor, they went further to a guarded checkpoint.

Sarah said "Livia, why are we going to the fourth floor?"

Livia's friend, Irina said "Well, this floor is exclusive to the VIPs and elites!"

Sarah said "Oh, I see!"

Livia stepped on the scary yet, elegant glass escalator, it was almost like stepping on thin air.

Before they could take another steep, they were detained entry, but were soon let go, once Livia vouched for them.

Like a country girl visiting the city, Sarah gasped, setting her gaze on the wonders before her. The ceiling was littered with crystals, the hall occasionally transformed into different themes. And currently, they were strolling down the street of Paris of the 21st century.

Were fascinated by the historic projection, Draven nor Sarah had ever been to the fourth floor. On this floor, it was a completely different world, they passed the antique looking shops and restaurants.

Livia took them to a fancy five-star restaurant, oddly a robot waiter led them to their table, disrupted his image; reminding him, this was but a projection.

Once they took their seats, a holographic screen popped and showed a transmission of the head chef.

"Dear patrons, what would you like?"

A menu materialized on the table.

Through the panel, they spoke their orders. Sarah was confused, reading of through these strange names, Livia saw her struggle and suggested her to try the Chef's recommendation.

Ten minutes of waiting, the food was served, starting from the appetisers to the main course.

Unlike the rest, Sarah was over the moon. She hummed in delight, for the first experiencing such luxury on her taste buds. She looked at Livia with stars in her eyes, seeping of gratitude.

Livia just shrugged and continued eating like a noble woman.

Draven, wiped his mouth after eating.

Intrigued, Draven said "What do you mean by 'We did you a favour!' ?"

Livia replied "I have heard complaints of the guards misusing their powers. Instead to being the enforcer of justice, they bend their backs over for criminals and endanger my customers and my reputation!" with a righteous anger, she slammed her fist against the table.

She said "Pardon me!"

"But, thanks you guys, I now have evidence, it will be much easier to fire and replace them"

Irina noticed his table manners, said "Draven, you dine just like an elite!"

Draven said "Oh, thanks Irina"

Irina probed him "So Draven, are you an elite like us?"

The girls stared at him and eagerly waited for his answer.

Draven tilted his visage from their gazes, had a sip of wine. "I was just copying you guys!"

Thought none at the table believed his excuse, but didn't mention since he was just a Bedouin in the vast desert.
