Sensing danger, the python uncoiled itself and jumped to the ground. Hector’s wings razed his path; logs of wood tumbled, shifting dust clouds to the sky. 

A mile away, he spectated the brawl from the tree; he shouted. "It's okay, you can always get the sucker next time!" 

Hector nodded. He rose higher into the sky and sent several wind swipes. The python slithered into a tight line, the wind swipes struck the ground, blowing mud around. The python took cover and spat a string of venom. Hector tilted his body to the right and avoided the corrosive venom as it charred the ground below.

The moment the dirt subsided, Hector dived and screeched a sonic beam. The python moved his tail out of the way and swung his massive tail. Hector twisted his wing and sped higher in altitude; the tail grazed his tail wing. Hector heaved in relief and retaliated with a tight grid of wind swipes. Boxed in, the python took the attacks.
