Short and Unfulfilled Tour

Southern winds added thrust to their wings, jesting the travellers to their destination as they graced the clear skies. Golden feathers shimmered in the light, displaying the royalty of his race. With a stretching call, it echoed against the mountains. Leading the way, he darted along his company behind and sped straight to the crevice.

Suddenly, the mountain quaked, tumbling rocks down, as a path showed itself from the wall and a minute later, the rocks moved and sealed the gap in-between. Like it never existed in the first place.

The eagle stepped out of his company with his confident posture and tall figure, which brimmed of authority.  He lowered his head to a pail of water and quenched his thirst while the rest unloaded the cargo from the caravan. The locals, were beasts of various size, shape and species.
