Chapter 2

Romeo opened his eyes slowly and gasped.

"Oh my god..." Romeo held his head in pain. Looking at the pile of papers nearby, he remembered his assignment. "Prof. Arnold must be waiting for me!"

He rushed to the printing shop and made his assignment again. When he returned, he saw Professor Arnold in his room.

"Prof., I'm sorry, I had an accident," Romeo said with a gasp. He ran all the way.

Professor Arnold looked at Romeo with a look full of disappointment. "Come out."

"Prof, please, look at my final project," Romeo begged.

"I gave you two hours, but you wasted it." Professor Arnold said. "Go away, I don't accept anything else."

Professor Arnold moved to leave, but Romeo grabbed his hand, which made him stop. "Prof, please, just spare five minutes of your time."

"I've already taken my time for two hours," Professor Arnold said. "You have no right to ask for more of my time. Sorry, Romeo. But you're very disappointing. It seems I misjudged you."

Professor Arnold walked away. Romeo couldn't stop him anymore. The more Romeo insisted, the angrier Professor Arnold would get.

Romeo stayed where he was, staring at the final paper that drained his energy, but it was all for nought. He exhaled softly. "There must be another way."

Romeo nodded and left the place.

In the afternoon, like now, this place was quite quiet. Most of the students had gone home, while those who remained were studying in the library.

Romeo limped out of the campus. He headed towards the campus bus stop.

"Why do you want to do all this, Young Master?" a voice came from behind Romeo, a voice that Romeo was very familiar with.

The young man ignored it and continued walking.

"Young Master, you look very strange. They are bullying you, and you remain silent?" The man spoke again.

He was Andrew, one of the Walsh family's servants. "You can get back at them all if you accept the master's offer."

Three years ago, the Walsh family was in turmoil. Romeo opposed some of Mason's policies, eventually leading to a dispute between father and son.

Romeo, who did not want to be restrained by Mason's rules, finally left the Walsh family. He wanted to live like any other person.

In addition, the most significant impetus for Romeo to leave the Walsh family was his late mother's wish before she died. Romeo's mother wanted her son to live like a normal human being, without the shadow of the Walsh family's power.

He didn't dare to do that in the past. However, he had been through a lot. Romeo is determined to leave.

On the other hand, Lord Mason placed much hope on Romeo's shoulders. Although they often quarrelled, Lord Mason still made Romeo his favourite son. When Romeo expresses his intention to leave, Lord Mason is angry and cannot accept it.

However, Romeo is also not a person without determination. He continued to force Lord Mason to give him permission, or he would kill himself.

Finally, Lord Mason relented. He allows Romeo to leave, but because of his permission, Romeo has to accept fate.

Lord Mason pressed the centre point of Romeo's body, which sealed the young man's power.

Before leaving, Romeo swore that he would never use his powers again.

Therefore, when Tyler and his friends bully him, Romeo looks helplessly weak because his power has been sealed.

"Young Master, Lord Mason has changed. He's not what he used to be," Andrew said, trying to persuade Romeo to return to the Walsh family.

Romeo silently ignored him. For him, whether or not Lord Mason had changed was no longer his concern.

"It's very difficult for you here. Go home, Young Master," Andrew pleaded.

Romeo finally stopped and looked sharply at Andrew. "Shut your mouth."

"I've already spoken with Lord Mason. As long as you keep the Walsh family intact, he won't interfere with your life anymore, Young Master." Andrew spoke again. For him, this was not just about duty but also his choice. He felt that only Romeo deserved to be the future leader of the Walsh family.

Romeo remained indifferent. He didn't want to return to that place again, where one mistake could ruin lives and hurt those closest to him.

"You took development economics because you're interested in business, too, right?" Andrew said again. He had been watching Romeo and knew all his activities. Romeo inherited the natural talent of a businessman. This school was just an additional reference for the young man. "Instead of starting out, why don't you continue the Walsh family's business empire."

In his heart, Romeo agreed with Andrew's words, but he was reluctant to admit it.

Romeo ignored Andrew and continued walking. As for Andrew, he sighed and chased after Romeo again.

Romeo fumbled with his pants pocket as if looking for something.

"It's bad!"

Romeo lowered his bag and took out the contents one by one. His face turned frantic. "Where is that thing?"

Seeing the panic on Romeo's face, Andrew became curious.

"What are you looking for, Young Master?" asked Andrew.

"My wallet," Romeo replied curtly.

"Just use my money, or shall I take you home?" said Andrew, making an offer.

Romeo's expression hardened. "It's not about the money!" he insisted. "My mom's necklace is in there!" he continued.

He tried to remember the last time he took out the wallet.

"Damn it!" cursed Romeo. He remembered that Tyler had rummaged through his bag. They must have taken it.

Romeo's face was ugly. His hands were clenched tightly.

Andrew was secretly excited. This was his chance to bring Romeo back home.

Romeo was about to leave, but Andrew stopped him. He again reminded Romeo of his current condition.  "With your current body, can you retrieve the wallet?"

Romeo clenched his fists tightly, and he kicked the soda can in front of him in annoyance. "Damn it! Really damn it!"

"If you had come to them, you would have been trounced," Andrew said.

"Shut your mouth!" Romeo said firmly. "I know my limits."

Romeo's ragged breathing made his shoulders rise and fall. He needed strength to regain the necklace, the only thing his mother had left him. Although the risk was great, he had to get it back.

"Young Master, don't worry." Andrew tried to calm him down.

Romeo gave Andrew a sharp look. "I know what you're thinking. Stop asking me to go home."

"Young Master, I know the necklace is precious to you. If we don't hurry, I'm worried it will be destroyed." Andrew spoke, trying to influence Romeo.

Romeo snorted. That was precisely what he was worried about. If Tyler found it valuable and sold it, he could still repurchase it. However, if it was destroyed, he couldn't do anything.

"The offer I gave you is still valid, Young Master," Andrew said. "As long as you return home, I will retrieve the necklace for you."

Romeo snorted. He gave Andrew a sharp look and said, "Fine, I agree. Take the necklace immediately!"
