Irene rushed to grab Skyler and pull her backwards. “Are you okay?” Irene asked, trying to look and see if Skyler had any visible injuries.

Skyler got on her feet, pushing back the loose strands of her hair. “It's okay I'm fine,” she said and then she looked up at the burning car.

The smoke was thick and black, increasing in size as the fire burned brighter. Tears pricked the corner of Skyler's eyes and they grew wide as she watched the car go off in flames.

Some of the paramedics were holding Elizabeth who had completely broken down in their arms. “Valerie!” She cried as she watched the car burn.

Everyone was convinced that Valerie was dead, burning inside the car. One of the paramedics who dared to move closer turned back to face the rest.

“There's nobody in the car!” He yelled to his colleagues.

Skyler's eyes immediately widened, and she began wiping her tears quickly. Elizabeth also stopped crying and was now interested in hearing what they had to say.
