The Fallen Angel’s wings carried them away from the Higher Being’s gaze and reach with surprising speed. Kyle tightly hugged the book they had risked themselves for, still wondering if he had done the right thing by taking it from the pedestal.
“There it is,” The Fallen Angel’s almost cheerful voice reached his ears. He looked at where Azazel’s finger was pointing. “Our way out.” The Fallen Angel explained, seeing Kyle’s confused expression.
It was a ripple in the air, nothing more. Kyle braced himself as Azazel flew towards it without even a hint of slowing down. He felt dizzy for a moment as they passed through it, then darkness came over him.
“Get out, dreamer.” A sharp, authoritative voice resonated with power. It reached Kyle’s ears as he slowly rose from his slumber. He heard a woman try and argue with the owner of that voice, but he was quick to shut her down.
