Kyle paced around the cathedral, taking in the view. While he had been taking it for granted until now, he forced himself to look, to pay attention to his surroundings. Wildflowers surrounded the small, stone path circling the cathedral. Fruit trees dotted the landscape around it, providing some much needed shade, and the delicious fruits he ate for breakfast every day.
A wry smile formed on his lips. He paused, and crouched by the largest, most vibrant patch of wildflowers. He gently touched some of their petals, feeling the texture.
The flowers from Necron were even more vibrant than these. They were sturdier, not so fragile. They bloomed so much more, in a matter of hours for some of them. Their scent alone was enough to help him relax, to calm him down and allow him to clear his mind.
These flowers on the other hand… They were beautiful, but fragile. They bloomed for a couple of days, then wilted.
