Everything happened so fast, he could barely follow the events. The Awakened Pondweed broke the net and freed itself from the glimmering white ropes. Igna’s eyes widened, she turned around and swung her blade while shouting a skill to protect herself.
The weedy tendrils closed in on her, only to be burnt away by the flames radiating from her blade. The plant reached for the lake with its remaining tendrils and pulled itself back to the water.
“Oh, come on!” Igna protested with a frustrated tone.
Kyle narrowed his eyes and glared at the pond. The health bar of the Awakened Pondweed was still perfectly visible.
“Wait, it didn’t reset!” He shouted, drawing a surprised glance from Igna.
“Oh.” She muttered before that fiery determination returned to her eyes. “Ok then!” She ran to where the creature stood before and grabbed her somewhat torn net from the ground. She didn’t seem to care about it breaking, so Kyle also pushed it to the back of his mi
Oddly enough, I constantly mistyped the boss' name as 'Awakened Tumbleweed'. Maybe Kyle will come across something like that in the future. Remember that we have a Discord. ( https://discord.gg/smeCbFjSAN ) Take care and stay safe!

Three levels was huge! And so was the level 25 milestone! “Nice,” Igna said with a grin. “So, you’re going full mage?” She asked then, with a thoughtful expression. Kyle shot her a quick glance and nodded. “It’s much safer to stand in the back I think.” He explained. He pondered how to allocate his three new points. “Sure, but if anything gets too close to you, you’re done for. Isn’t some more survivability also good?” She pointed at the constitution stat. “Dying in one hit would… well
“There you go!” Kyle said with a grin as he emptied the crystal fruits from his inventory to the ground. Cacophus watched his jaw open. The green glowing lights that flickered in his eyeholes burnt ever so brighter. “THANK YOU!” He exclaimed. He floated down from the air and hurried over to the fruits on the ground. “I WILL USE THEM WELL! I WILL PREPARE SOMETHING FOR YOU AS WELL!” The lich promised as he began checking every single fruit, once by one. Kyle chuckled. “I’ll let you know if I need anything. Just focus on your research for now.” He stepped towards the door. “I’m off to sleep,” “OH, KYLE, WAIT.” The Lich’s words stopped him in his tracks. “I ALMOST FORGOT. MY MINIONS SPOTTED A FEW HUMANS SNOOPING AROUND.” Kyle’s ears perked up as his heart skipped a beat. “Define ‘snooping around’” “THEY SPENT SOME TIME NEAR YOUR HOUSE, THEN PROCEEDED UPHILL. I HID THE CAVE ENTRANCE, SO THEY DIDN’T FIND THIS PLACE.” Kyle sco
The elf’s words rang true in Kyle’s ears as he walked up the winding stone path. This was one of the two ways up the mountain, and the fastest path to this monster camp that was sending waves of attacks at the elven orchard. Kyle kicked a pebble to the side as he walked uphill. The sun was glaring on his back as he climbed the foothills of the mountain. The shadow of the raven circling the air high in the sky passed by him every few minutes. The bird’s existence made him feel not quite so lonely. It took him the better half of the day to reach the vicinity of the camp the elven leader had mentioned. Had there been trees like the other side of the mountain, it would have been quite the challenge to find the camp. But this side of the mountain was barren, even more so now that the Locust God’s venom had been harming the earth around the orchard. There were few plants on this side, and Kyle could easily see the camp in the distance. “Well…” He mu
Her sword reflected the light of the slowly setting sun as the Fallen Knight grasped its leatherbound hilt with both hands. Her armoured gloves creaked as she did so. Kyle slowly stepped back. This was a powerful foe. He clenched his fists. “Fallen Knight!” He called out as he reached for his own sword. “I come on behalf of the Elves!” The knight’s steps did not slow down as she raised her sword. “All under the Light of the Gods must die – you serve the Elves, and I shall be your end!” Her voice radiated with power. Kyle tightened his grasp on the hilt of his straight sword. “And I will bring you back to the light.” He whispered under his breath. She was perfect! The Knight raised her blade, then dashed forward. Ever step she took was calculated, every motion she made, perfect. Her blade descended from above, and she took a step to her left, and turned her body ever so slightly to change the direction of her attack mid
Before summoning the Fallen Knight Aoris, Kyle decided to check if the camp and the wolves he killed had dropped any loot. He smirked as he walked back towards the camp; his fight with Aoris had taken him quite far towards the bottom of the foothills. His heart was still racing from the adrenaline of that fight. He had come so close to dying, yet he felt no fear, just the thrill of battle. It was exciting and stimulating. He chortled and shook his head. As fun as it had been, he couldn’t keep taking such risks. Had it not been for the raven, he would have been dead by now. He needed to prepare some fallback plans just in case something similar happened again. The camp was surprisingly empty. There was a single tent, though it was a large one. The wolves’ bodies had vanished already. There were some logs leaning against a rock, and a campfire that was no longer lit, but aside from that, it was empty. With
“Who the hell are you?!” The paladin shouted as the Fallen Knight Aoris’ motions didn’t slow even one bit. Her blade cut through the air, nearly decapitating the spear wielding fighter. Aoris didn’t respond to the Paladin, nor did she pay him any real attention. Even though her face wasn’t visible under her helmet, Kyle could easily imagine the look of focus in her eyes. Her claymore hit the fighter’s spear as he blocked it. Beads of sweat rolled down his chin as he tried to resist the Fallen Knight’s immense strength, but soon his feet began to slide back. As his balance grew weaker and weaker, he shot the Paladin a desperate look. “Are you going to help or not you idiot?!” He shouted in a panic. The Paladin sighed and stepped forward, raising his sword. “Smite!” he shouted. Kyle narrowed his eyes. Holy magic could be dangerous – The Fallen Knight Aoris was a dark wreathed summon after all. A golden light shone on the
The Orchard was as peaceful as ever. The elves welcomed him, though much less ceremoniously than before. They had gotten somewhat used to having him around by now. The elven leader was delighted to learn of the defeat of the Fallen Knight, though Kyle chose not to mention the small detail of having her as a summon. His gut told him to keep quiet about it. When he asked about the blade he found, the elf simply shook his head. He didn’t know what it was, though he warned Kyle not to touch the blade, lest he get cursed. “Anything that belonged to the Fallen must be handled with care.” He warned Kyle before the young man left with his reward: a pure mana crystal. Kyle stored it safely in his inventory before heading back to Cacophus’ cave. Tomorrow, he was going to go and clear some camps on his own. And as such, days passed with no news from the elves, and no issues from players at all. Kyle focused his efforts on levelling up. He cleared camp after camp
The ruins of the temple Igna talked about weren’t too far from here, but they still had to walk for an hour or so. “What have you been up to?” Igna asked as they followed a beaten dirt path. The rolling hills slowly smoothed, and the terrain became less rough as more trees decorated their surroundings. “Levelling up, just enjoying life.” Kyle said with a smile. “I take it you’re still rank 1?” Igna smirked. “Of course!” She said with a proud expression, though her smile vanished soon after. “Though a particular group of players are very quickly advancing lately. It’s getting disturbing.” “Oh,” Kyle muttered as he absentmindedly opened his character sheet. ‘Kyle – Lv. 32 Summoner INT 20 | WIS 17 | DEX 10 | STR 10 | CON 18 Mana:200 Available Points: 8 Skill Points: 9 Achievements: Lich Killer, Topple the Mountain L
