Cindy is surprised to bump into Matthew. Matthew finds it strange how Cindy reacted.
“What happened, Cindy? Did you think it was a thief?”
“No, I just didn’t expect you here.” Cindy fixes her hair and clothes, afraid of catching the smell of fried oil even though Matthew has taken a shower.
“By the way, I’m sorry for the unnecessary exposure,” Matthew says in a neutral tone.
Cindy looks at Matthew in disbelief, “I don’t believe it.”
“What?” Matthew narrows his gaze.
“Are you still feeling sorry for me, worrying about me, when the main target was you?” Cindy says in a dismissive tone, “You know, Matt, I think that’s one of the things that make me despise you. You have no self-respect. You’re always thinking about the well-being of others.”
Matthew is horrified by Cindy’s idea, “Did you want me to be selfish and insensitive? And then you go around complaining that men are no good? Did you want me to be like David Rocha? He’s definitely laughing in your face and helping share the gossip!”
“I didn’t want you to be like David, but I wanted you to strike a happy medium.” Cindy stops fixing her hair, “Worry a little about yourself too. And don’t worry about me because we’re not boyfriends anymore.”
“But I worry because—”
“RICARDO!”
Cindy has a sudden transformation that even Matthew couldn’t keep up with. The sullen and sour Cindy transformed into a docile and loving girl, walking towards Ricardo Montegrande with open arms.
Ricardo smiles like a 1950s Hollywood heartthrob and hugs Cindy, causing sighs and expressions of admiration among the college girls passing by in the hallway.
“Aww, what a beautiful couple!”
“Why is everyone talking about it in the university group like it’s something sinful? They match!”
“Yes, that’s why I think the one who lost the most was the grill cook!”
Matthew hears the mocking comments from the surrounding university students and decides to leave.
But Ricardo’s voice reaches him, “Hey, excuse me!”
Matthew freezes his steps and turns to him, nonchalantly, “Yes?”
“Don’t you have shame?” Ricardo’s gaze is cold, “It wasn’t enough for you to lose your girlfriend; did you need to defame her on the university’s online forum as if she were a Jezebel?”
Matthew gapes, feeling lost, “Ehr... Can you repeat that? You said that... IT WAS ME who spread the gossip? I don’t even participate in those groups or forums!”
“Really? How will I know?” Ricardo smiles from the corner of his mouth, “You can very well create an anonymous account or a pseudonym and say whatever you want. I just know that there is only one person who would benefit from trying to defame my girlfriend: the ex-boyfriend who doesn’t accept the end of the relationship.”
“Who told you that—”
“Just yesterday, you claimed in front of countless witnesses and to David Rocha that you are Cindy’s boyfriend. Isn’t that true?”
“Yes, but I said that to—”
“That’s why I received an anonymous message just yesterday reporting this, and now I received the message with the photo taken from the hotel we were in. You could be arrested for harassment, my friend.”
Cindy starts to shake in a mix of anger and fear, “Matt... Were you following us? WAS IT YOU? I thought it was David Rocha!”
“David Rocha said it was me?” Matthew glares at Cindy.
“No, he told me he helped to share the photo, but he didn’t say he was the one who TAKEN the photo.” Cindy screams angrily, “I’ll never forgive you for that, you poor bastard!”
Ricardo wraps his arm around Cindy and pulls her close to him. Cindy feels safe again and no longer remembers that she had the same feeling yesterday when she was with Matthew.
“Alright, think what you want!” Matthew turns on his heel and heads to his classroom.
However, during the journey, Matthew seemed to see everything distorted and red. He couldn’t believe the succession of bad things happening all at once in his life. What is happening?

Abner heads to another office, one equally furnished in a classic and sober style, to continue monitoring what is happening with Matthew. Evan enters soon after.
“Mr. Meirelles must be happy to have his office back.” Evan jokes.
“So, any news?” Abner doesn’t have time for games.
Evan becomes serious, “Mr. Sterling, something serious happened. Mrs. Silva... Sheila... She got sick and was admitted to Blue Cove Public Hospital.”
“WHAT?” Abner turns to the secretary with a complicated expression, “That... Ugh... No, what do you mean, what happened to her?”
“It looks like she had an allergic attack because of the conditions they live in.” Evan explains, “Their house is dark, poorly ventilated, and a lot of the sheets and clothes are dusty and moldy. That’s bad for anyone.”
“Of course, given their conditions... They can’t dream of paying for a dry cleaner.” Abner sighs, “We need to do something.”
“What?” Evan’s eyes widen. What does your boss want to do?
“We’re going to transfer Matthew’s mother to the family clinic of his best friend, young Mr. Andrade.”
“Sir, they don’t have health insurance at the clinic.” Evan demurs respectfully, “Matthew will be surprised and suspicious.”
“We’ll find an explanation later.” Abner shakes his hands, “Besides, this is an excellent opportunity for us to collect some blood for DNA testing. We need to make sure this woman is indeed my son’s widow.”
“Yes, I understand. If we find the mother, we find the son.” Evan nods.
“And we need to get something for Matthew too.” Abner remains serious and determined, “It’s obvious that he wasn’t able to buy any pills for his mother. In other words, the income he gets from the kiosk isn’t enough. We’re going to get him an internship at one of our companies, without him knowing at the time.”
“Excellent, sir.” Evan smiles satisfied. It’s time for the real test!
Evan leaves to arrange Sheila’s transfer. Abner, after being alone, smiles lightly, satisfied.

At the kiosk, Matthew just narrated to Clayton what happened to his mother.
“Matt, if you want, you can take the day off to see your Mom.”
“Mr. Saldanha, I thought better of it.” Matthew scratches his head, “Don’t you want me to stay here for a few hours? I think it’s too busy today.”
“You know what I really wanted?” Clayton smiles in camaraderie, “I wanted you to seriously think about finding even an internship to compensate for your studies. Those who study Business don’t plan on being a grill cook for the rest of their lives.”
Matthew feels awkward. He doesn’t believe he deserves praise, so he’s always embarrassed.
Clayton continues, “Don’t look like that. I’m serious. I like you working here, Matt, but sometimes I feel like I’m holding up your future.”
Matthew lifts his head, “Absolutely, sir! Don’t ever say anything like that again! If it weren’t for your kiosk, I’d probably be starving.”
“OK, you’re not starving, but you also can’t pay the bills at the end of the month.” Clayton asserts, “I’m sorry, Matt, but I can’t pay you the salary you deserve. While you visit your mother, think about what I told you.”
Matthew swallows hard. He nods silently and leaves, removing his apron.
Upon leaving, he meets Patricia.
“Patty, I’m going out. My Mom is sick at the hospital.”
“Oh, Matt, I’m so sorry. Walt showed up here earlier and told me everything.” Patricia suggests, “He said your Mom had an allergic reaction to mold. Is it true? Maybe I can stop by your house and help with the cleanup.”
Matthew shakes his head violently, “Cut the nonsense, Patty. You know damn well I don’t have the money to pay you—”
“Money, money, MONEY!” Patricia responds in kind, “Is that all you can say? Doesn’t it cross your mind that I can do some cleaning for free? It’s a favor I’d do.”
“I’m not a fan of free labor, Patty. If you wash one of my briefs, I’ll have to pay you. I’m sorry, but my mother would say the same thing.”
Patricia tries to hide her blush at the mention of Matthew’s underwear and continues, “But you guys keep saying you don’t do what you need to do because you don’t have money. You don’t have a decent washing machine because you don’t have money. You don’t buy medicine for your mother because of lack of money. You won’t accept my favor because of lack of money. Matthew, frankly, you need to sort your life out!”
Matthew is surprised by Patricia’s vehemence, “Wow, friend. I’ve never seen you so fierce.”
“There is a first time for everything.” Patricia crosses her arms, “So go visit your mother and tell her I’m waiting for her to give me the go-ahead to help her.”
Matthew chuckles to calm his angry cat-like friend, “OK, I’ll give the message.”

Later, with classes over, the university students go down the stairs and spread out across the square. Some go to the parking lot to get their Mercedes or BMWs. Others go to the trees and benches to study a little more or spend time with friends.
And others go to the kiosk.
Bryce is holding his cell phone in bewilderment. David provokes him.
“My friend, be careful! You’re going to trip over a rock and fall, and I’m going to laugh and record it!”
“But you won’t be able to post on the university forum!” Bryce exclaims in horror.
David and the other friends freeze their steps, intrigued.
“What do you mean?” David asks with a frown.
“Access the forum, all of you!” Bryce exclaims in amazement.
Everyone obeys Bryce. Some of them even sit.
David has sparks of hatred in his eyes when he comes across the following message pinned to the top of the comments: FROM TODAY, THE OFFICIAL STERLING UNIVERSITY FORUM AND ALL ZAP GROUPS RELATED TO ACADEMIC MATTERS WILL BE USED SPECIALLY FOR THIS PURPOSE. THE USE OF THESE PUBLIC SPACES FOR SLANDER AND DEFAMATION IS STRICTLY PROHIBITED. THOSE WHO REPEAT THE OFFENSE AS THEY DID TO MATTHEW SILVA AND CINDY CARDOSO WILL BE BANNED FROM THE NETWORKS AND DRAWN ATTENTION TO THE RECTORY. ASS: ABNER STERLING.
Other university students who casually accessed the forum or Zap groups also came across the message and were left speechless.
Once again, Matthew Silva, the poor grill cook, was being saved by the rectory, with the approval of the university owner!
David’s hand trembles so much that his cell phone falls to the floor.
“David, your cell phone!” Another friend warns him.
But David appears to be under a hypnotic trance. What is happening...?
******
In the LCN parking lot, Ricardo is parking his car while Cindy is checking the news on her cell phone.
“Any news, dear?” Ricardo performs the maneuvers without difficulty, not because he is an excellent driver, but because his car has an approach sensor.
Cindy’s cell phone starts beeping like a carnival whistle with countless messages from her friends, “OUCH! I can’t read so many messages, my friends have gone crazy!”
“What are they trying to say?” Ricardo laughs.
Cindy selects a voicemail from one of her friends, “CINDY, MY FRIEND! You won’t believe it! Abner Sterling, the owner of the university, had all conversations about you, Ricardo, and your loser ex-boyfriend deleted, saying that the forum is only supposed to be a public space for academic matters! Anyone who tries to spread gossip will be banned from social media and reprimanded in the dean’s office! You got away with a scandal, my friend! Looks like we’re wrong about Matthew Silva, huh?”
Cindy is stunned by her friend’s audio, insinuating that she was wrong to end her relationship with Matthew. Ricardo, in turn, clenches the steering wheel furiously.
Ricardo becomes jealous as Cindy’s friends insinuate that she should have continued dating Matthew because of the apparent influence he has with Abner Sterling.Cindy, however, recovers from her shock and laughs. Wanting to reassure her boyfriend, she brings her cell phone to her mouth and records another audio, “You’re crazy. Don’t you realize that I was the reason Mr. Sterling banned gossip in the university forum? The fact that Matthew was mentioned was pure formality. After all, you were talking about him too. And be thankful that my current boyfriend doesn’t demand any compensation for having his name involved in sordid rumors.”Cindy finishes and puts her cell phone in her purse, “There, honey, problem solved. Thanks to your influence, Mr. Sterling took matters into his hands and ended the gossip.”Ricardo, however, keeps insecure and severe, “Are you sure that the dean and the owner of the university don’t have a strange fondness for the poor guy? His name was mentioned first,
Matthew, in the corridor of Andrade Clinic, becomes suspicious of the origin of the call. But since the possibility of a criminal or swindler calling him is almost null, he shrugs his shoulders and decides to answer.“Hello?”“Mr. Silva?” The friendly voice of a lady sweetened Matthew’s ear.“Hello, who am I talking to?” Matthew smiles in disbelief. Is it raining girls in his garden?“This is Elaine speaking. I’m an employee of the publishing house Golden Letters. We’re contacting you for a job interview, as you left your resume with us.”Matthew is left open-mouthed and pale. Walter leaves Sheila’s room and finds his best friend stunned by the information.“Miss, there must be some mistake.” Matthew states, “I didn’t leave any resume at a publishing house. I’m a Business student, and—”“OK, I admit that your resume wasn’t for Business Administration, but for any available position. Well, we have an assistant vacancy.” Elaine tries hard, “Don’t you remember, Mr. Silva? We’re sorry for
The next day, Matthew finished eating breakfast, which consisted of bread with scrambled eggs and orange juice. Still chewing, he got up to leave. His clothes were stained with oil from the grill, as usual. The cell phone rang. Matthew rolled his eyes. It seemed like no one would leave him alone that day.The caller ID showed the same number as yesterday.Matthew smiled wryly and answered, “Hello! Am I speaking to Elaine?”Meanwhile, Elaine was sitting at her desk, feeling the animosity. “Mr. Silva, I’m very sorry about what happened!” she said.Matthew retorts, “Me too, Miss Elaine. I’m so sorry I don’t have the address or your real place of work to sue you. Because of your lies, I was humiliated and became the new Internet sensation!”Elaine sighed before replying, “None of this was supposed to happen. I waited for you at Golden Letters.”“But the kind secretary said you don’t work there.” Matthew scoffs.Elaine decides to adopt the aggressive tactic, “Mr. Silva, I insist that some
The receptionist at Golden Letters didn’t expect this turnaround.“Elaine, what’s going on?”Matthew laughed, “But didn’t you just tell me that there is no Elaine in the company?”It was funny to see the receptionist trying to act friendly with Elaine after claiming not to know her!The receptionist was furious. “Listen here, boy! I would never let you in looking like you are poor! You’re not going to sell us any fake perfume! I’d better call the police—”The receptionist picked up the phone from the desk, but Elaine’s hand stopped her from making the call.“You still don’t understand?” Elaine’s voice sounded dangerous. “I CALLED this man for a job interview. And now, because of you, it won’t just be an interview. They have ordered me to hire Mr. Silva immediately as an assistant to reward him for the humiliation you made him pass yesterday!”The receptionist was terrified. “Elaine...”Elaine continued, “And you said I don’t work here? That’s funny... in fact, you’re the one who doesn
It was night in Sheila’s room at the Andrade Clinic. Sheila got startled for nothing, causing the doctor a fright.“Mrs. Silva, are you thinking about something bad? Or was it me who scared you?” The doctor asked, scared. That’s all he needed, the patient to die of fright because of him!Sheila, embarrassed, replied, “No, I was thinking by myself and didn’t even notice you turning on the lamp.”Sheila forced a smile and straightened up on the hospital bed.“OK, I hope you’re happy. Starting tomorrow, you can go home,” said the doctor, relieved, putting on a smile.Sheila was now truly happy.Matthew appeared at that moment, “Mom, good evening! Doctor, any news?”“Yes, Mr. Silva. I was talking to your mother that she’ll go home tomorrow.” The doctor announced excitedly.“Mom, how wonderful! Now we can count on Patty to help you tidy up!” exclaims Matthew.Sheila and Matthew hugged. The doctor warns the two, but good-naturedly, “They have informed me about the mold, guys. Please keep yo
At the end of the day, Matthew was beaming walking down the stairs at Golden Letters. He didn’t mind the accusatory looks from certain people over Matthew’s refusal to use the elevator for short distances. However, some coworkers started imitating Matthew and used the stairs too.“We worked sat for a long time.” Matthew explained to two male assistants who came down with him, “We need to stay in good shape. You want to win over a beauty, don’t you?”“For sure!” One of them, wearing glasses and clumsy, responded hopefully.“So let us continue to be active and manly,” Matthew states, leaving the lesson and example. They say goodbye to Nayla and go through the revolving door. The second assistant commented, “Matt, did you hear that the video they took of you yesterday was evaporated from the Internet? All the Influencers who helped spread the meme have had their accounts taken down.”Matthew drops his smile. Once again, he is being treated as someone powerful and sovereign without unders
Ricardo takes Cindy by the arm and pulls her, forcing her to sit down. Cindy feels a pain in her arm.“OUCH! That hurts, I’m getting a tan!”“SHUT UP!” Ricardo growls, “Don’t make a fuss, people are watching!”Cindy looks around and notices that NO ONE is looking. After drooling or envying the journalist couple, everyone continued with their normal lives.Cindy composes herself and removes her sunglasses, showing a defiant look, “Is this all because I mistook you for my ex-boyfriend?”Ricardo is livid even with the sun tanning his skin, “How come you confuse me with the loser? Does he happen to have this sculptural body like mine?”Cindy smiles mischievously, “Don’t judge Matthew, Ricardo. He’s equally ripped and hot, that’s why I dated him even though he was poor.”Ricardo laughs, dying of jealousy, “Ha, ha, ha! A kiosk worker, who fries snacks, hamburgers, sandwiches, and fries, will never have a body as fit as if he were a gym goer! You won’t be able to make me jealous, Cindy!”Cin
Cindy decided to get up after observing that the tan on her arms and legs was what she expected. Then, she notices the buzz among the bathers. The girls said to each other, “Look at those two! Are there any photo shoots happening around here?”“Maybe a commercial for those stylish sunglasses.”“Friend, are you noticing the sunglasses?” This indiscreet question caused laughter among the women.A jealous young man retorted, “Don’t be fooled, girls! Two handsome guys like that must be a couple!”“GET OUT!” The women refused to believe.Cindy, interested, fixes her gaze on the two friends who are causing commotion on the beach...And her jaw drops when she recognizes who they are!To increase her bad luck, Ricardo appears from another dive. He approaches and hugs Cindy from behind.“What’s wrong, honey?”Cindy is scared. She didn’t expect that one.Meanwhile, Matthew got closer and closer to the sand. He managed to discern Cindy among the sunbathers. But the sight of Ricardo appearing and
At Silva Oil Company, Kirk appeared in Leonardo’s office. Fernando and Marta had already left. “KIRK!” Leonardo abruptly stood up from his desk. “How are you, my young man!” “Mr. Silva?” Kirk was surprised by such reverence. “I didn’t know you cared so much about me...” “Cut the small talk! You just had a seizure and looked like you were going to die in my company,” Leonardo gestured for the employee to sit down. “Now I want to know all the details. Don’t hide anything from this curious old man.” Kirk smiled and sat down. “Well, sir, there’s not much to tell. I was stupid enough to fall for the siren’s song.” “In this case, the cocaine song, right?” Leonardo leaned forward. “What do you intend to do from here on out?” “Obviously, I promised myself and my family that I wouldn’t use that cr*p anymore. It wasn’t worth all the drama and suffering,” Kirk replied honestly. “That’s good. Then you can continue from where you left off,” Leonardo smiled, relieved. “That’s about what I w
In Urbano Magazine, Cindy returned with the printed sheet, extending it to Andreia. “Read this not-so-pretentious article, my friend,” Cindy declared. Andreia took the paper and read it. A smile formed at the right corner of her mouth. “Cool... nothing so blatantly accusatory, but clear enough for any semi-literate person to understand that Elaine knocked over that pyramid of champagne glasses, causing a scene at the book signing.” “Of course, I won’t say she did it because the honored author was her enemy’s mother,” Cindy replied mischievously. “You don’t want to risk Matt’s wrath.” Andreia stood up, a bit slowly due to her pregnancy. “Speaking of which, how did he react after your dad’s video?” “I didn’t bring it up with him,” Cindy shook her head. “If I mention it, people will say I still love him.” “And you don’t want to do anything to ruin your relationship with Jackson,” Andreia repeated. “Cindy, it’s commendable that you’re more committed and focused on having someone in
Fernando appeared in the kitchen wearing gray sweatpants. Liz, who was sour and bitter, smiled pathetically with her gaze fixed on her husband’s pants. “Good morning, son. What’s new?” Ronaldo replied rudely, “The news is seeing my mother still able to walk!” “RON!” Liz was startled. Fernando shook his head. “Son, don’t be disrespectful. Your mother and I are trying to be as discreet as possible.” Ronaldo shot back, “Just missing discretion when discussing my fiancée, huh? Can we talk about that now?” Liz pursed her lips. “I was so happy when I woke up, but you made sure to ruin my day.” “Mom, we can’t avoid the obvious!” Ronaldo turned to Fernando. “Matt told me that Elaine was reprimanded.” “And I will never agree to that!” Liz shouted. “Elaine was a victim of that tough girl from the slums! She could have died from a cut to her jugular!” “But Elaine provoked Patty’s wrath by saying those nasty things,” Fernando reasoned as he served himself breakfast. “Couldn’t Patricia a
Silva Penthouse, Monday morning. Ronaldo was walking down the hallway to the kitchen in just his boxer shorts when the suite door opened. Liz was smiling a little too much, looking like she was about to dance ballet. “Mom! Long time no see!” “Yes, son, I had a wonderful time with your father!” Liz replied suggestively. Ronaldo blushed to the roots of his hair. “Is breakfast ready?” she asked casually. “I was about to check,” Ronaldo said, heading to the kitchen. There, the coffee maker was already brewing coffee. “Nando must have prepared it in advance.” Liz took bread and butter from the fridge. Ronaldo, cautious, sat down at the table. He noticed a tear in Liz’s nightgown. “Mom, did you and Dad make up this Sunday?” “We can say he’s no longer in love with your fiancée,” Liz replied with a mischievous smile. “Mom, stop talking about that disgusting stuff!” Ronaldo frowned. “This is all your sick imagination.” Liz simply shrugged, sitting down at the table as well. “You’r
Elaine arrived stumbling with fear and bewilderment. The truth about Bella and Nathan’s relationship was something horrifying and incredible for her to digest. “Oh my God... how did these two families let this issue intertwine like this?” Nayla was at the reception desk, smiling, waiting for Elaine to approach. But when she realized Elaine was going to walk past her, Nayla called out loudly, “ELAINE?” Elaine stopped suddenly and looked at her friend. “Oh, Nayla, I’m sorry...” “Don’t worry. I know you must be going through a lot of pressure.” Nayla stood up. “I really am. But I always have time for my friends.” Elaine smiled and approached, trying to distract her mind. “I wanted to know if there are any openings here at Golden Letters for my brother.” Nayla asked respectfully. Elaine’s smile vanished with the wind. As Nayla’s boss, she knew who the brother was. “Nayla, we’re friends, but you know I have a strong opinion against drug use and sales.” Elaine replied in a boss t
At Andrade Clinic, Charles was leading a meeting with the receptionists and security guards. Walter and Emmanuelle were present. “So, everyone, the next time Liz Silva or anyone else causes a scene at the clinic entrance, security or even the police must be called in immediately. Don’t hesitate just because the troublemaker is someone from an important family. This is a hospital clinic, not a zoo, so I demand order in the lobby. A disturbance can jeopardize the patients who are waiting for care, and I don’t want to compromise anyone’s safety, understood?” “Yes, Mr. Andrade!” everyone responded in unison. “Okay, everyone can return to your posts.” The staff went back to work. Linda gave Walter a brief kiss before leaving. “Linda, I need to ask you a quick question,” Emmanuelle called her back. Linda paused, closing the door after the last person left. “Did you check with your parents if it’s safe to go home?” “No, Emmanuelle. The conversation with Gus was so good that I forgot
In Matthew’s suite, he was now buttoning the cuffs of his genuine cotton dress shirt. Elaine had also gotten out of the bathtub, unable to continue relaxing, and was now putting on her work suit. The memory of the Golden Letters prompted Matthew to strike up a conversation. “Did you remove a glass from the base of the pyramid?” Elaine stared at Matthew as if he were the devil. “What? How can you throw a question like that out of nowhere?” “I just asked a question, woman, answer me.” Elaine shook her head as she walked to the sofa to put on her high heels. “This is inconceivable. Your mind is always revolving around Patricia’s issues. You never forget her, and then tell me I don’t need to worry.” “Was the champagne glass pyramid made for an occasion involving Patricia?” Matthew countered logically. “No, but it was her mother’s book signing.” Elaine angrily slipped on her shoes. “Well, I remembered that many claimed the embarrassment happened because someone removed a glass from
Monday. Elaine was relaxing in the bathtub of her husband’s suite. Matthew stepped out of the shower stall, drying his hair with a white towel as he walked to the double sink. The sight of Matthew’s exposed body startled Elaine for a few seconds, but then she took advantage of the beautiful view, smiling mischievously. “It hardly feels like it’s Monday,” she commented casually. Matthew was washing his face as he said, “Yes, it’s Monday, the day to take care of important things after we relax our nerves on Sunday.” Elaine pursed her lips and retorted, “If I relaxed my nerves, it’s because they were in shambles. It’s not like me to live in constant stress, darling. I might not get the chance to calm down in the future.” Matthew turned off the faucet and grabbed a face towel. “Are you saying you would be willing to reduce your contact with Aunt Liz?” Elaine could no longer relax. “What does that mean?” Matthew tossed the towel onto the sink and turned to his wife. “I don’t like t
In the Silva Penthouse, Liz took advantage of the wreckage of the coffee table to create more drama. “Here we have it, darling! The COFFEE TABLE is SHATTERED with Elaine’s body thanks to Patty—” “SHUT UP!” Fernando slammed the door shut. Liz trembled in panic, staring wide-eyed at her furious husband. “But what is this? Why are you angry with me, darling, when you should be furious with Patty—” “I command silence, and you keep babbling even more!” Fernando went to the utility room to grab a broom. Liz quickly grabbed her phone and took a picture of the shattered coffee table. Maybe this will come in handy for her in the future... “So, what are we going to do about this?” Liz shouted for Fernando to hear. Fernando returned with a broom and a dustpan in hand. “Don’t tell me you’re going to sweep this up!” Liz reacted horrified. “Let the maid clean it up on Monday!” “I won’t have a living room full of glass shards until Monday. I want to watch TV tomorrow!” Fernando’s ferocity
