The waiter who served Walter and Matthew wasn't too pleased to see one of the expensive glasses being smashed on the floor. Other customers watched the scene, fearing that a fight was breaking out. But it wasn't anything big, just Walter being shocked by the news given by Matthew.

“Excuse me, waiter. Include the value of the glass in the bill.” Walter said as he tried to calm down.

“OK, sir, be careful.” The waiter walks away to clean up the broken glass with a broom and dustpan.

Matthew sips his drink, “Calm down, Walt. The news shouldn’t shock you like this.”

“For sure it shocks me!” Walter exclaims in a low voice, “First, I know that Patricia does not behave indecently. Second, I know she comes from a good family. Third, I know that Jackson Borges would never let something like that happen!”

Matthew puts his hand on his chin. "Do you want to know? When she told me this, Jackson was on her side. They were both here, but they didn't look like they were going to order any drinks. I wa

Managing my kiosk is probably some kind of extracurricular job you need to do to earn your degree. I’m happy to be your guinea pig. Patricia, however, drew my attention to something.”“The money.” Matthew rolls his eyes. Why doesn’t Patricia believe him?“Yes, where are you going to get the money to invest in my beloved kiosk?” Clayton turns serious, “If you’re thinking about taking out a bank loan, I won’t allow it.”“Why not?” Matthew feels like laughing.“Because you certainly already have a lot of commitments to pay.” Clayton responds worriedly, “Tell me: how much did your new cell phone co

Here is what you asked for.”“And what did I ask for?”Jarbas holds out a piece of paper, “The phone number of someone in the Silva family, Mrs. Sterling’s relatives.”Alice smiles malevolently, taking the paper. “Thank you, Jarbas. She is here?”“I don’t know, ma’am.” Jarbas apologizes.“OK, she must be doing more shopping. I don’t understand why she lived like a slum dweller for many years if what she wants most is to have a life of luxury and spending.” Alice goes upstairs to her suite.Upon entering the master suite, she goes to her double bed and sits down. Nobody was around.Alice takes out her cell phone and dials the number. A male voice sounds from the other end.“Hello?”“Hello, good afternoon. What about the Sterlings? They would be the most interested in pursuing this matter and seeking justice!”Sheila purses her lips. “They never wanted to believe me. And I stopped having contact with you for fear of involving you. That’s why I hid in the favela and took Matt along.”Leonardo shakes his head, “It's a shame that the daughter of an oil businessman lived in an unhealthy place. You didn't do well, daughter. Can’t say the same for Jonah, though.”Without hesitation, Jonah peeled off his wet shirt, adding just a hint of flair to the gesture. “Don’t worry about me,” he said, a lit

On a rainy afternoon at the Silva Penthouse, Fernando returned to the living room holding an empty teacup. Sheila handed him back his cup, then poured herself a generous serving of hot chocolate, feeling increasingly cornered by Liz’s newfound determination.“Liz,” she asked carefully, “does that mean you’re not going to Lagoon City anymore?”Fernando furrowed his brow. “Why are you asking that, sis?”Sheila nodded subtly toward Liz. “Because it seems like she’s on a different path now.”Fernando sat down beside his wife.Liz, still smiling, answered gently, “Yes, Sheila. I’ve made a decision to change my life. First, I’m going to treat Matt’s banishment as a kind of vacation — take time to recover and visit my daughter.”Fernando reached for her hand. “And I’ll make sure my dear wife gets the rest she deserves.”Liz’s expression sharpened with a quiet resolve. “Then, when I return, if I find that Elaine hasn’t kept her word and has been making trouble for Patty and Ron again—”“Liz,

The weather had shifted as the afternoon settled over the beach house. Rain tapped softly against the windows as Nathan lounged on the sofa, scrolling through news on his phone. The screen displayed a surreal video of young people playing in thick, frothy sea foam that looked more like whipped cream than anything natural. The waves consumed the adventurers, and the video cut off just as only two of the six managed to poke their heads back above the foam.Curious, Nathan scrolled down to the comment section, where users speculated on whether the kids had gotten out safely — or why they’d entered the foam in the first place.Suddenly, the distinct sound of his phone ringing broke the silence. He smiled when he saw the caller ID and answered cheerfully, “Hello?”At the Andrade Clinic, Vicente had returned from lunch. A tray beside Andreia suggested she had eaten as well.“Son, is it you?” Vicente asked over the phone.Nathan laughed. “What kind of question is that, Dad?”Vicente’s tone c

The baby needs to rest.”“You’re right,” Vicente agreed, wiping away tears of laughter. “Our son’s trying to nap.”Jonah looked incredulous. “I still can’t believe how you talk about Bella. She came here as Nathan’s ex — she thought it was kind to visit his new brother.”Bella, clearly offended, folded her arms. “I really did think he’d be here. But I guess not. I should go.”“Congratulations, anyway,” Jonah added hastily as he followed her out.Vicente’s voice called after them with finality. “Bella, it’s best you stay away from my son. He

  • Chapter 928 Sea Foam

That morning, at Blue Cove Beach, just as Fernando had predicted, the weather began to shift. The winds picked up, whipping across the shoreline and stirring the ocean into a more aggressive temperament. What had been a pleasant beach day quickly soured, much to the disappointment of sunbathers and swimmers alike.People who had been enjoying the calm waters started to retreat, alarmed by the strengthening current and the threat of a rip tide. Women gathering up their beach towels and tanning oil exchanged uneasy glances as the sun's rays dimmed. Parents called their children back from the water’s edge, urging them to pack up. Even the friendly volleyball match was abandoned as players pointed to the gathering clouds overhead.“It looks like it’s going to rain! You know what that means,” one tourist muttered.“Yeah. Lightning’s next,” another responded with a grim nod.Gustavo, unaware of who he was approaching, walked along the beach, casting a wary eye at the churning sea. A strange

Inside Andreia’s room at Andrade Clinic, the conversation resumed exactly where it had paused. Maurício de Paula, still standing near the couple, had just asked about the "accident" Vicente had suffered. But Andreia and Vicente hesitated, unsure whether to keep talking about it.Sensing the tension, Maurício backed off slightly. “Ah, I’m sorry. I’m sticking my nose where it doesn’t belong.”“It’s not quite that,” Vicente replied, trying to ease the moment.“Is it really that serious?” Maurício asked, concerned.Andreia glanced at Vicente before answering, “We suspect it wasn’t an accident at all.”Maurício held his breath for a moment, digesting that implication. “But... who would have the nerve to do something like that? And with you there, pregnant, Mrs. Gouveia?”“Hey,” Andreia corrected gently, “if we’re dropping formalities, then I’m Andreia, and he’s just Vicente.”“Fair enough,” Maurício said with a nod. “But still — do you really think someone intentionally loosened that spotl

The television was on, humming softly in the background.Jonah appeared with two steaming cups of coffee—one for her, the other for himself. His navy-blue robe hung loosely around his frame, revealing more than it concealed. Clearly, he wasn’t wearing anything underneath.Bella accepted the cup with a smile, inhaling the warm aroma as Jonah sat beside her.“Comfortable?” he asked.“Yes, thank you,” she replied, taking a sip. The coffee was delicious.“So, what’s new on TV?”She licked her lips slightly, enjoying the drink. “Hmm...
