The next morning, in the kitchen of the Silva Penthouse, breakfast unfolds in silence. Liz covets her husband who was dressed only in boxers, lost in thought as her coffee sits cooling. Ronaldo, dressed only in shorts, is distracted, his thoughts lingering on Patricia.

Breaking the silence, Ronaldo speaks up, “Dad, I think I’m going to look for a decent studio to record one of our commercials.”

Fernando nods, though a worried look crosses his face. “Good idea, son. We need to distract the public’s mind because of this issue.”

Liz snaps out of her daydream. “Huh? What commercial, son?”

Ronaldo explains, “A commercial with Patty as our spokesperson.”

With a scoff, Liz retorts, “The only thing Patty will get is to be a hooker.”

Fernando slams his hand on the table. “ELIZABETH! Can’t you say one nice thing about Patty with that filthy mouth of yours?”

“Who told you my mouth is filthy?” Liz sneers. “There was a time you loved my mouth on your p—”

Ronaldo’s face flushes with embarrassment.

Fernando and Ronaldo are in the living room of the Silva Penthouse, now dressed formally for work. Both men wear worried expressions as Liz trails behind them, voicing her anger.“This is absurd! You need to fire that Kirk IMMEDIATELY!” Liz demands.Fernando sighs. “It won’t be an easy task, dear.”“Why not?” she huffs. “Besides firing him, you need to report him to the police!”Ronaldo, turning abruptly, tries to reason with her. “Mom, we can’t act rashly! His family doesn’t know about this; they could sue us for defamation! Since this was the first incident, we have time to investigate calmly.”Fernando nods. “That’s right, son. If only we had a friend in the police…”“Let’s tell Matt,” Ronaldo suggests. “After all, he’s one of our shareholders, right?”“Yes,” Fernando agrees. “He needs to know about this.”Just then, the doorbell rings, and Liz goes to answer it. “Who could it be… Dad?”Leonardo walks in quickly, barely acknowledging his daughter-in-law. “Here I am, folks. In Matthew’s suite, he is talking on the phone with Fernando, who is at his office. “Matt, the situation is at this point. What should we do?” Matthew grimaces in discontent. “Hmm… This is quite unpleasant. But why am I being informed about this?” Fernando smiles slightly. “Is it because you’re one of our shareholders?” “And because of that, should I get involved in police matters?” Matthew raises his eyebrows. “Not necessarily. Perhaps you know someone in authority who can help us resolve this case without resorting to media scandals...” Fernando hints. Matthew thinks quickly. Who could help them? Then he remembered someone. “There was a police officer who helped us during that mess at Zach’s nightclub. Sergeant Carvalho.” Fernando felt a bit awkward, remembering that the chaos was caused by Jasmine and Liz. “Oh, do you think he could handle the situation discreetly?” “Absolutely. We’ll investigate this drug issue at the docks without alarming the villains,” Matthew respond

Matthew visits Andrade Clinic. Walter receives him in his office as Cindy is leaving. “Walt, I need — Cindy? What the hell are you doing here?” “Good morning to you too, Matt!” Cindy greeted him, overly smiling. Annoyed by his ex-girlfriend’s presence, Matthew noticed her limping. “Are you limping?” “Thank Jackson for that.” Cindy smiled slyly. Matthew felt something boil inside him. “Cindy, tell Jackson that life is much more than bestial and rough s*x.” “I’m going to pretend I didn’t hear that.” Cindy shook her head, giggling sarcastically. “Don’t you have the habit of pound Elaine every night, smashing her without a care?” Matthew cleared his throat unnecessarily. If this conversation continues, he will feel something inside his pants... “Okay, enough of this talk. Did you come here to talk about the incident at Silva Oil Company?” Walter interjected, aiming to lighten the dark mood. “Ahem... Matt, I called her specifically for Cindy to be discreet. Did something strange bother you yesterday?” Nathan decides to open up. “Yeah, Mom. Yesterday, I met Bella Alvares’ Mom.” Andreia grimaces but keeps her back to Nathan and Vicente, pretending to adjust her left shoe. “Ouch, this shoe is too tight...” she mumbled. Vicente joins the conversation, “And why did that bother you, son?” Nathan sighs impatiently. “Guess what? She’s also against my relationship with Bella.” “Really?” Andreia turns to Nathan with a slight smile. Nathan thinks Andreia is laughing ironically. “That’s right, Mom, it’s a complete absurdity. She insists that I don’t deserve to be in a relationship with her daughter because I’m of a higher social standing. But Bella and I aren’t even

Are you planning to get back together with Bella Alvares?” Nathan puts the camera on the rack to buy some time, thinking about his response. Turning to his father, he replied, “I think I could at least be friends with her, Dad.” “What changed?” Vicente steps out from behind the piano. “Now she’s working honestly, Dad.” Nathan smiles sweetly. “All of our fears that she was a dirty escort have gone down the drain.” “That doesn’t change the fact that she had a promiscuous and complicated life BEFORE

In the podcast studio, Jorge wrapped up a broadcast and was saying goodbye to the guest of the day. “It was an honor, my friend!” “Likewise!” The guest pointed to Bella, who was trying to stay hidden among the crew. “What happened to her? Did she hit her head on the wardrobe door?” Jorge’s smile faded. “That’s what she said.” The guest nodded and stepped away, not wanting to get involved in something that wasn’t his business. Jorge approached Bella quickly. “Bella, go home and take care of that bruise. Or maybe you want to go to the Andrade Clinic where your older sister works.” Bella was indignant at the suggestion. “You really did your homework, didn’t you?” “I have a file with all the information,” Jorge replied nonchalantly. “You listed your sister’s phone number as a reference. Well, I looked up that number: it belongs to the front desk of the Andrade Clinic.” “And why were you checking my phone numbers?” Bella’s eyes widened. Jorge looked at her as if to say, ‘Are you s

Having recovered from the pain she felt, Cindy was pacing around the office while talking on her cellphone. “Matt, if you want, I can send the article to your email so you can feel at ease, okay?” On the other end, Matthew grunted as he stood by the entrance of the General Hospital. “I’m serious, Cindy. The matter is extremely dangerous and sinister. Do you remember the investigation against Congressman Ramiro Moura? It’s pretty much the situation we find ourselves in.” “Oh God, why do I always get into these messes?” Cindy pretended to be distressed, but she was mocking Matthew, completely indifferent. Matthew felt it. “Okay, don’t come crying and showing up at my mansion asking for police protection later. Elaine won’t be happy to see you there.” “And what does your bitter wife have to do with—” Cindy realized Matthew had hung up on her. “Hello? HELLO?” Andreia closed the door. “Problems?” Cindy huffed as she stuffed he

Sheila raises her eyebrows. “Would you tell me if Matthew actually thought of something so absurd, Evan?” “Of course, Mrs. Sterling. And you would understand if one day Young Matthew has to resort to such extreme measures.” Sheila shook her head vehemently. “I disagree. Evan, my son managed to defeat Alfredo Dantas and Jasmine without spilling any blood. Why can’t he do the same with Nathan?” “Because those are different situations, ma’am,” Evan answered seriously. The door opens, and Vicente pokes his head into the office. “Hello! Am

Across town at the Borges House, the midday sun streamed into the dining room where Patricia was seated with Cindy and Jackson. Something to help us decompress after all the stress and drama we’ve dealt with.”Cindy nodded, understanding. “Makes sense. Silva Oil won’t be facing charges, you and Liz Silva made peace, and Liz cut ties with Elaine.”Patricia raised her glass in a one-woman toast. “Amen to that. So, Ron and I want to celebrate — but we don’t want to go alone. For obvious reasons.”Cindy and Jackson exchanged a knowing glance.Jackson, ever the older brother, spoke up. “Sis, under normal circumstances, I’d tell you to wait until after the wedding. But since you’ve already... had your first time, would it really be that terrible to be alone with Ron on a romantic trip?”Patricia’s s

  • Chapter 950 Facing Nathan – AGAIN!

Nathan returned from his parents' apartment to the beach house, under the midday sun, with a triumphant smile that practically screamed "mission accomplished." As he stepped inside, his voice took on a villainous tone, relishing his recent success.“My father’s letter made quite the impression on the sergeant,” he murmured to himself. “Now it’s just a matter of time before he digs into the case and realizes Lawrence Vieira doesn’t exist... nothing but a fabrication by Karl Sterling.”Making his way into the kitchen, Nathan opened the refrigerator, rummaging through leftovers and pulling out a few pans. He set them on the stove, beginning to reheat his lunch while continuing his monologue with the flair of someone who thought ten moves ahead.“And even if they dig into the past or someone brings up the car crash, no one can prove anything. It'll be the word of a man who used a fake identity... versus a famous pianist whose life was nearly cut short.”The soft hiss of reheating food fil

Around midday, inside the police station, Sergeant Carvalho leaned forward in his chair, intrigued by the theory Matthew had just put forth about the incident at Vicente’s live concert. The near-tragic “accident” that had almost claimed a life now seemed more calculated than coincidental.“I hadn’t thought about it like that,” Carvalho admitted. “I mean, I knew you and Mr. Hudson saw the two workers, but... a test?”“Exactly!” Matthew said, visibly energized. “It can’t be coincidence that the accident played out the same way as the earlier incident. And there’s more — I clearly remember commenting to Bryce about the piano’s position.”Carvalho began clicking and typing quickly on his computer, searching through digital statements.“Young Mr. Hudson didn’t mention that,” he muttered. “Looks like I’ll have to pay him another visit.”Matthew didn’t hesitate. “Have you or any of your officers found anything on ‘José Ramos’ or ‘Seb Nozes’?”With a serious expression, Carvalho shook his hea
