Karl entered his office at Golden Letters to find Vanda and Hélio waiting for him, seated while Augusto served them tea.

“Good morning, everyone. Thanks for covering for me, Augusto,” Karl said, settling into his chair.

Augusto chuckled playfully. “I wasn’t going to let you freeze.”

Hélio and Vanda laughed as Augusto discreetly exited, closing the door behind him.

Karl leaned forward. “So, what’s up, beautiful people?”

Vanda smiled briefly. “Thanks for the compliment, but what we came to discuss isn’t pretty at all.”

Karl sighed. “I can imagine what it is.”

Hélio got straight to the point. “Lawrence, when will we have a resolution regarding Elaine’s offense? The video of her knocking over those champagne glasses at my wife’s signing event is still going viral!”

Karl cleared his throat unnecessarily. “Ahem... Has Elaine shown up?”

“Nayla can’t reach her,” Vanda replied. “She’s been avoiding work, probably because of what we know.”

“The hit-and-run involving Jackson...” Karl muttered.

Without even saying goodbye to your parents?”Ronaldo smirked mischievously, as if to ask, Are you serious?“Dad, did you forget what you were doing with my mother just hours ago?”Fernando’s face instantly flushed, resembling an embarrassed teenager. Patricia held her breath, suddenly feeling the urge to leave the room.“I needed to calm your mother,” Fernando muttered defensively.“Right,” Ronaldo said, amused. “And while that was happening — I think I even heard the bed collapsing — my grandparents showed up, and they were furious.”Fernando’s expression darkened. “What did they want?”“They wanted to discuss my mother and her involvement in Germano Cardoso’s fir

At Andrade Clinic’s reception, Linda stood frozen in horror. She couldn’t believe that her boyfriend’s sophisticated family planned to set foot in the favela. Stepping out from behind the counter, she marched toward Paulina, her expression showing shock and frustration at the same time.“This is absurd, Mom!” Linda exclaimed.Paulina, resigned, sighed. “There’s no way around it, daughter. The Andrade family is loving and completely free of social prejudices. They insisted on coming to our house, afraid we’d feel uncomfortable if we went to their mansion instead.”Linda shook her head furiously, unable to comprehend the situation. “Who’s uncomfortable with what? What about them? Mrs. Andrade? They’re about to step into a FAVELA, for Christ’s sake! No... Where is he?”Paulina frowned. “Walt?”“He must be in his office.”Without another word, Linda spun on her heels and stormed off.Just then, Paulina’s phone rang. At the beach house, breakfast had just ended. Andreia stood at the sink washing dishes, while Vicente poured himself a glass of water from the filter. Nathan appeared behind them, joining the conversation.“I think this is counterproductive, Vince,” Andreia remarked.Vicente, however, was excited. “Going directly to the director of Sterling Cultural Hall? I think it’s genius!”“Mr. Hudson will probably inform Matt that you want to perform there,” she countered.“Or,” Vicente reasoned, “he’ll realize that he needs to get that venue running and start bringing in money through ticket sales.”Andreia turned off the faucet, wiping her hands before facing her husband. “If this turns into another war, what happens to our baby?”Vicente softened, placing a gentle hand on her belly. At that moment, Nathan arrived, catching the affectionate moment between his parents. The sight made him take a step back from his usual bluntness—he didn’t want to cause stress that might affect the baby.“Mom,” N

Ronaldo sat in his office at Silva Oil Company, deep in thought when Cindy entered, determined to get answers.“Can I ask you something? This isn’t a formal interview,” she said.Ronaldo chuckled. “Miss Cardoso—”“Cindy,” she corrected.“Cindy... I’m not sure how I could possibly help you.”She leaned forward slightly. “You can tell me if you did anything to convince my father to ask for forgiveness from Jackson and Patricia.”Ronaldo swallowed hard, taking his time before answering. “Why do you think that?”Cindy’s journalistic instincts kicked in. “My mother called me in a panic earlier, saying my father had gone out to buy bread and never came back. She was terrified, thinking he had been kidnapped. I considered Liz and Elaine at first, but then... my father reappeared, full of regret, reconciling with me, Jackson, and even posting that viral apology video.”“I see,” Ronaldo murmured.“And now, they’re going on a cruise to the Bahamas.”Ronaldo smirked evasively. “Probably funded b

The clouds were retreating, leaving behind hints of a serene night.“Looks like we’ll have a starry night, at least,” he said, hopeful.“But it won’t be warm,” Andreia replied from her bed, her voice calm but weary.Vicente turned to her and walked closer, the fluorescent hospital light casting a soft glow on his concerned face.“Sweetheart, do you see now that Nate might be right about us not staying at the beach house to take care of Victor?”Andreia nodded, resigned. “Victor would cry nonstop with the wind slamming against the roof and that creepy foam all around.”“Then it’s settled,” Vicente said, gently. “Moving to the apartment Nate found for us is probably for the best.”She shifted slightly, uneasy. “There’s just one thing that worries me about thi
