In Elaine’s apartment, she opened the door again to receive a visit from Nayla.

“Hello, dear friend! I hope I’m not bothering you... what happened to the TV?”

Elaine wrinkled her nose, remembering how the TV got broken. “Jacqueline Andrade broke it when she came to visit me along with Cindy Cardoso.”

Nayla reacted horrified. “But why the hell did you let those two in? They probably ripped you apart!”

“Yes, they got revenge; it didn’t matter how many times I begged that the accident was just that — an accident.” Elaine sat down on the couch. “But don’t worry. In the future, I won’t miss the TV at all.”

Nayla remained standing. “Did you get a job to buy another TV?”

“Not exactly.” Elaine smiled excitedly. “Guess what: Matt showed up earlier proposing that we cancel the divorce.”

Nayla gasped and reacted with her mouth agape, wanting to jump for joy.

“Celebrate, my friend!” Elaine cheered.

“AAAHHH!!” Nayla clapped her hands. “Girl, this is amazing! Matthew Sterling really loves you!”

At the beach house, Paulina received the truth that, instead of freeing her, would trap her in more problems. “What are you talking about? Vince, have you been drinking?” “Hey, only my dear wife can call me ‘Vince’ or ‘Vinnie,’ are you listening?” Vicente cut in sternly. “We no longer have that kind of intimacy, get that in your head!” Paulina smiled seductively despite her age. “I remember a time when we were VERY intimate.” “Come on. You married a nobody and wasted all the money I gave you. You disgust me.” Vicente nearly spat. “You could have moved to the United States, and Bella would never have run into my son.” “It seems like irony of fate, but I can’t change what happened,” Paulina retorted. “And I find it very hard to believe that a respectable businessman like Matthew Sterling would devise a plan to have his cousin killed, who poses no threat to him anymore.” “HA! Try telling that to him then! That’s exactly our problem!” Vicente gestured. Paulina began to understand.

Now, Edmund, Evan, and Matthew were in Edmund’s office. Bryce’s desk was empty. Edmund had a start, thinking of a possibility. “Was it Bryce who informed you, Young Matthew, about your uncle’s concert?” Matthew narrowed his eyes. “Why are you so determined to find out who told me what?” “Because my son has been the gossip boy of the week!” Edmund shouted, frustrated. “Ugh, family problems. Spare me!” Evan rolled his eyes. Edmund pressed his lips together. “You give that secretary too much freedom.” Matthew slammed his hand on Bryce’s empty desk. “Edmund, I’m waiting for the reason you agreed to hold a live concert in favor of my uncle!” “Fine! When he showed up here, I admit I wanted to tell him to go to hell.” “And why didn’t you?” Matthew raised his eyebrows. “Lawrence Vieira was nearby and suggested that I accept the suggestion,” Edmund cautiously replied. Matthew reacted with intrigue. “What are you saying? Lawrence Vieira? What does he have to do with the Sterling Cult

At the Alvares family’s house, Linda smiled as she responded to Gustavo. “Yes, Gus. I’ll send another text asking to check this with Walt.” Gustavo cheered, punching the air. “YES! Awesome, sis! We’re going to find out the truth!” Linda smiled, but inside, she was quite worried. “Gus, what if Nathan really is our half-brother?” Gustavo didn’t seem to care much. “He won’t be a part of our family, that much you can be sure of!” “It won’t be that easy. It seems our dad has no idea about this. And now he’s in the hospital... talk about perfect timing!” Linda rolled her eyes. Gustavo didn’t respond as if he knew Ernesto was aware of Nathan’s existence... Before he decided to say anything, the living room door opened. Bella walked in, stopping suddenly when she saw her two older siblings. “Oh... Linda, you’re home early.” “I asked Walt for the afternoon off right after I saw you leave the clinic looking all stormy,” Linda replied like any older sister would. Bella swallowed hard.

Linda pressed further, “Bella, we know you had a test in the genetics wing of the clinic with Nathan Gouveia.” Thinking quickly, Bella replied, “Guys, this is a matter concerning Nathan. I can only say one thing: we didn’t do a blood test as if we intended to run away to get married.” Gustavo and Linda let their shoulders drop in relief. Gustavo started laughing. “Look, sis, I actually thought about that possibility!” Linda, also laughing, asked, “And did our mom think that?” Bella seized the chance. “Yes, our mom accused me of wanting to marry Nate since we had taken a break in our relationship. But no, Nate and I are going to stay as we are.” Linda stood up from the couch. “Well, since Elaine Sterling was the one who picked up the test from Nathan, that means this doesn’t have anything to do with you, Bella.” Gustav

I think it’s enough for you and Mom to live in with Victor until you buy new stuff.”Vicente chuckled. “Yeah, I think we’ll survive with old furniture until then.”“At least the monetization from your channel—”Vicente’s expression darkened, cutting him off. “Son, the last thing on my mind right now is that damned career.”His eyes drifted toward the piano in the corner, a symbol that once meant everything to him, now just a reminder of what had gone wrong.Nathan sighed. “Dad, you’re aiming your anger at the wrong target.”Vicente’s voice grew quiet. “Your mother suspects Karl might’ve been behind the ‘accident.’”That made Nathan pause, rubbing his chin as he considered it. “I hadn’t thought of that.”“Sergeant Carva

The clouds were retreating, leaving behind hints of a serene night.“Looks like we’ll have a starry night, at least,” he said, hopeful.“But it won’t be warm,” Andreia replied from her bed, her voice calm but weary.Vicente turned to her and walked closer, the fluorescent hospital light casting a soft glow on his concerned face.“Sweetheart, do you see now that Nate might be right about us not staying at the beach house to take care of Victor?”Andreia nodded, resigned. “Victor would cry nonstop with the wind slamming against the roof and that creepy foam all around.”“Then it’s settled,” Vicente said, gently. “Moving to the apartment Nate found for us is probably for the best.”She shifted slightly, uneasy. “There’s just one thing that worries me about thi
