Chapter Seventy-Three

“About the same thing that brought you here” He smiled and arched his mouth to the ice cream truck positioned not too far from them.

She spun around to see and turned back to him.

“And yet you're here, alone with your thoughts.” She moved closer and sat beside him on the park bench. “Did you even know when I came close?”

“Yeah, my side vision is impeccable” He teased. They both let out a short-lived laugh.

For a moment, they both went silent, taking in the scenery and letting the flower-filled aura envelop them. It was like Eileen knew exactly what he wanted and instead of pestering him with incessant questions, she just sat there with him, in silence. But it didn't last long as it was a short-lived moment.

All of a sudden, a hand yanked Eileen from where she sat beside Aidan, startling the both of them. The milkshake she held in her hand spilled all over the white sweatshirt she had on, running down to her dark red baggy jeans.
