Chapter Twenty

The receptionist's lower lips trembled as his eyes stared at her. She searched his dark eyes for an ounce of pity but there were none as Aidan's remained dead, without emotions. The pleasantness he had when he came in had disappeared. She regretted her unfriendliness towards him.

She patted her mouth to speak but words failed her.

Aidan spun around averting his eyes from her, and faced Mr. Avangard. "I don't know how you ended up with such unruly staff but if my father is going to be investing in this place…" He smirked slightly. "Then there's no job for them here anymore."

"Of course, Sir" Mr. Avangard spun to the three of them and without remorse ordered them. "You're fired! Take your stuff and leave this instant…"

"Wait…" Aidan drawled. "The guard was just following the orders of these two," He said pointing at the both of them. "Leave him out" He ordered.

The guard bowed and thanked him before surfing to his post.
