Chapter 17

"Thank you. You can leave directly with my driver. No need to take me upstairs." Camilla said as the car stopped in front of the apartment lobby.

"No, Aunt Camilla, you're not feeling well; let me take you to the door," said Clara.

"You'll be late." Camilla tried to convince Clara that she could still walk to her apartment unit alone.

"No problem; if I'm just a little late, they can still wait for me," Clara replied with a smile.

They both got out of the car after the driver opened the door. The driver carried Mrs Camilla's bag while Clara helped Camilla walk by holding her hand.

They walked into the elevator and then to the fifteenth floor. Clara held Camilla's hand until they passed through the apartment hallway and stopped before the door. Camilla was again seen holding her head. The look on her face was one of pain.

"Auntie, should we call a doctor to check on you?" asked Clara with concern.

"No need, I just need to rest." Camilla refused gently.

"But, are you sure you can be alone in this apartment? What if you need something?"

"Calm down, dear; I've asked the maid to accompany me here. I'm just too careless. I've lost all my servants since I decided to live in this apartment temporarily. I temporarily suspended all of them from work. I thought I just wanted to start a new life here by relaxing myself. But, it turns out that my days are getting harder and harder." Camilla said with a face that seemed to be trying to hide her sadness.

"Auntie, I understand how you feel." Clara rubbed Camilla's shoulder and then looked down sadly. She thought of her sister and her mother's passing. "It won't be easy, but we'll get through it." Clara continued.

They both hugged each other as if sharing the same sadness. Camilla unconsciously hugged the girl tighter. The deeper she remembered Ferdinand.

"You're a very good girl, why are we close now? Even though Andie has been with you for two years. We've only met once before. Do you remember when Andie introduced you at dinner?" Camilla suddenly recalled the beginning of their meeting.

"Of course, I remember," Clara replied.

"You were still timid back then." Camilla smiled remindingly.

"Hmm, yes. I was very nervous back then," Clara replied. Then they laughed together.

"Unfortunately, Ferdinand is very cold to girls and has never introduced anyone to us," Camilla said unconsciously.

Clara felt sorry for her again. Camilla seemed to think Ferdinand was still alive.

"When will your servant come?" asked Clara, changing the subject.

"Oh yes, probably around noon. Yesterday, they were pleased when I contacted them and asked them to work again. But since their house is quite far away, they said it will probably be noon." Camilla replied enthusiastically.

"Thank goodness then, I hope they can help you a lot here," said Clara.

"Of course," Camilla replied with a smile. She then looked at the numbers on her watch. "What time do you have the shoot?" she asked.

"At nine in the morning," replied Clara, who also glanced at the numbers on her watch.

"Then you should get going, Clara. Again, thank you so much; I hope we can meet more often. I'll ask Andie to take you to dinner with us if you have time." Camilla pleaded before they parted.

"Oh, of course. I'm also thrilled to meet you. I wish Uncle Levin a speedy recovery." Clara replied.

"Thank you for the prayers, dear; off you go," Camilla said warmly.

Clara walked quickly to Camilla's car. The driver was waiting and opened the door as soon as Clara approached.

From a distance, Anna continued to follow Clara. She was still curious and wanted to know more about Clara to find out where that woman employed Ferdinand.

"Why is he being driven by Madame Camilla's chauffeur?" asked Anna as she followed Clara's car.

Clara, meanwhile, was mostly silent during the journey. She was disturbed by Ferdinand's name. Ferdinand Johansson was a young tycoon who was reportedly killed in an accident, and Ferdinand was at her house.

"Why do I have to worry like this? There are millions of Ferdinand's names in this world. Besides, the man in my house was just a lowly employee at the hospital. He has nothing to do with Ferdinand Johansson." Clara said to herself.

Clara still couldn't shake her uneasy feeling. She was suddenly curious about Ferdinand. She took her cell phone out of her bag and searched for information about Ferdinand Johansson.

"Doesn't look like Andie," she said to herself after looking at Ferdinand's photo on her phone.

"Miss, we're almost there," the driver's voice startled Clara.

Clara quickly put her cell phone back into her bag. Journalists were already gathered in front of the building, awaiting her arrival. Clara took the time to open a small mirror to make sure her makeup was perfect.

"Thank you very much, sir; give my regards to Mrs. Camilla," she said before leaving.

Stepping out of the car, the journalists immediately scrambled to take pictures of Clara. The girl stepped gracefully while developing a smile to greet the media crew who had been waiting for her since earlier.

Anna couldn't follow Clara too closely. Her car was even blocked in.

"Excuse me, ma'am, where are you going?" asked the security guard.

"I just want to get into the building," Anna replied. I am hoping to be let through soon.

"Sorry, ma'am, the road is closed today. The event organiser has rented this building. Only special guests and supermodels involved with the advertising project are allowed to enter." said the officer.

Anna didn't say much as she quickly backed out and parked the car some distance away. In front of the building was a large poster with photos of the supermodels.

"Clara Levinski Maurent?" Anna read the name written there.

Anna realised Clara was a supermodel whose name was known everywhere. Anna quickly searched the internet for Clara's personal information.
