After landing in England, Weylin Turner deplaned. Rising his head up, he enjoyed the soothing sunshine that was touching his expanses of skin. His lips curved upwards into a gentle smile.
Hmm...this is the pleasant smell of England. I missed it too much.
"Enjoying the nice weather, huh?" Jace chuckled, glancing at his best friend.
"Of course!" Weylin laughed gently.
As he walked a few steps, a black Mercedes A 600 appeared, followed by a few black BMW 7 cars. Men dressed in complete black got down from the car, bowing to the young master.
"Welcome, young master."
The driver of Mercedes who was dressed in a black suit greeted him.
Weylin flashed a warm smile with a slight nod. No sooner had Weylin and Jace got into the Mercedes than they departed, destined to arrive at the Turner's Mansion.
After some time, Weylin arrived at the mansion- the place where he had millions of childhood memories with his father before he was sent away. The huge mansion seemed like a luxurious villa - a perfect place for a family vacation. Surrounding the mansion, there was a beautifully maintained garden which was perfect to enrich one's spirit and exude calm.
A big smile appeared on the young master's face as he walked on the paved way. The gigantic door opened, allowing him to walk inside his house.
"Welcome home, young master!"
As Weylin walked inside, followed by Jace and others, he was welcomed warmly by the butler.
"Uncle." Weylin's face glowed upon seeing the person who used to be his guardian in absence of his father.
Before he could walk a few steps toward the older man, a gunshot was heard, making everyone freeze in their positions. The next moment, the bodyguard who was standing just behind Weylin slumped on the floor. No sooner had the person fallen on the floor than the other bodyguards held him tight in his position, snatching away his hidden weapons.
"Miss Shadow! What's with this audacity?!" The butler yelled, making everyone look in the direction of the source of the sound.
"An intruder already?"
Shadow's voice sounded cold as she lowered her gun. Walking along the railing, she slowly started to come downstairs. Since her entire face was covered with a mask, not a single person could either understand her expressions or her motives.
"An intruder!?" Weylin exclaimed, watching the female figure standing before him.
"Greeting, young master," Shadow bowed to the young master with her fist on her chest. "My apologies. I didn't mean to surprise you like this but some bastard dared to make his way into this mansion without any invitation."
"But all of these people are our men, aren't they?" Jace asked in a grim tone.
"The one who slumped on the floor isn't," Shadow replied in a serious voice.
Walking to the man who was shot in the thigh, Shadow put her fingers beneath the man's chin. Forcibly pushing his chin upwards, she made him look at her.
"This face is completely new. I didn't send this man to fetch the young master." Suddenly Shadow pressed his cheeks, making the guy whimper in pain. "Who sent you here to follow the young master?"
"N-no o-one." The man huffed, unable to speak due to pain.
"Really?" Shadow gritted her teeth. Putting her foot on the very same place where he was shot, she pressed it hard, making him yelp in pain. "Are you planning to play games with me? Don't worry, Shadow is an expert when it comes to playing games." Snickering, she harshly let go of his face. "Lock him in the 'playroom'. I'll take care of him later."
"Yes, Miss."
The bodyguards who held the man in place dragged him away from the hall.
Meanwhile, Weylin observed the power and authority the lady held. He saw the fear and respect for her in everyone's eyes who were present there. He saw countless women in the USA but never ever did he see a woman who held this much power. It seemed like just a stare from her was enough to leave her subordinates trembling.
"What's your name?" Weylin asked, mesmerized by the power she held.
"It's Shadow," she replied politely.
"Only shadow?" Jace asked, frowning.
"Everyone addresses me by that name. I am not supposed to reveal my real name. It's an order from the master," Shadow replied, bowing.
"Hm?" Weylin glanced at the butler, asking him if her words were true.
"Yes, young master. Except for the master and me, no one is allowed to know." The butler answered.
"Alright." Weylin smiled but he was very unconvinced by the reason. What's with this woman? Hiding her identity even from me!? Don't worry, I am a pro when it comes to finding a person's identity.
"Young master, the master said that it will take a while before he comes here. Please take a bath," the butler informed. "Shadow has prepared everything."
"Thank you," Weylin flashed a flirty smile at the woman before following the butler to his room.
This guy will never change. Jace facepalmed internally as he saw his friend walking upstairs.
"Young master, let me show you your room," Shadow asserted, pulling Jace out of his thoughts.
"Ah! Thank you," Jace Smith laughed awkwardly, not used to being addressed as a young master. "Miss Shadow, please call me Jace. Young Master seems too much for me."
"Sure," Shadow replied, smiling gently.
Jace could clearly feel her slight smile behind her mask.
This lady surely has her own charms. Being as cold as ice and in the blink of an eye, she is all gentle and warm- just like the perfect opposites.
He grinned as he followed her.
Running his fingers through his wet hair, Weylin put his hand on the rim of the bathtub. Leaning on the edge of the tub, he took a deep breath, inhaling the relaxing lavender fragrance which was filled in the bathroom. The twilight bath bomb in the lukewarm made the bath even more pleasant."Shadow prepared all this…" Weylin trailed off, scrubbing his body. "Everything is just too perfect- the fragrance, the bath bomb, the temperature of the water and the atmosphere. How does she know everything about me? How did she come to know that lavender fragrance is my favourite? Most importantly, who is she!? She even denied revealing her real identity. On top of that, she has special approval from dad."These thoughts had been bothering him a lot for a while. No matter how much he tried to put the pieces together, Shadow seemed
Upon reaching his father's office, Weylin stood there, observing his surroundings. The walls were painted with grey colour. Most of the furniture seemed to be of limited edition and highly expensive. Weylin chuckled internally upon observing that most of the things were black coloured. Starting from the expensive couch to the shelves, most of the items were black coloured since black was Blake Turner's favourite colour. His taste is still the same. He can never step down from expensive and luxurious choices. Weylin smiled. He is the leader of 'The Devils' after all."How's your business going on?" Blake asked in a serious tone, serious enough to let
"What is this!?"Weylin frowned upon witnessing the bizarre scene. The intruder was tied with thick ropes to the chair while his neck was hanging to the side. He looked intact but his bitter facial expressions were enough to show that he experienced some harsh torture. He seemed to lose his consciousness after receiving 'special treatment' from Mr Chapman."How's it?"Shadow's cold voice reverberated in the cold room as she walked inside. Looking at the tied man for a while, she glanced at Mr Chapman."He is still alive. He just lost his consciousness," Mr Chapman replied. Sitting on The Eames Sofa, the young master was leaning comfortably against the soft cushion. His fingertips were tapping against the arm of the sofa, making a soft tapping noise. His sharp eyes were looking at the papers, going through the information. Rubbing his index finger on the edge of the paper, he turned the paper, finishing looking into the information."Garaine Jones…"Weylin mumbled, gazing at Garaine Jones's photo on the information papers. His lips were curved upwards into a slight smile."So she works at an orphanage, huh?" Weylin grinned, running his thumb against the photo. "An expert bike racer, and now a caregiver? I wonder if you have some other profession as well." Weylin was about to turn back and leave the place when his eyes fell on someone, leaving him thunderstruck.Garaine Jones was standing at the door, surrounded by the kids. Crouching, she was laughing heartily while the kids seemed to complain to her about something. Her long, jet black hair which was tied into a high bun moved a bit, as she laughed. A few naughty locks fell on her round face, making her look adorable. She was dressed in a light coloured shirt with dark blue jeans, keeping it simple yet elegant.Weylin couldn't take his eyes off her. Mesmerised by her beauty, he kept observing her every move with a slight smile on his face. How can a person emit two different auras at the same time? "Are you Weylin Turner, the well-known mafia leader?" Garaine asked out of blue, eyes filled with suspicion, making Weylin stop on his tracks.Weylin felt like his heart dropped for a moment. He never expected to hear these words from a person whom he had just met.How does she know about me!? Weylin thought, unconsciously staring at her. Am I that famous that even common people in England know about me?"Don't tell me you are really Weylin Turner!" Garaine gasped, eyes almost popping out of her sockets."Wait, Miss. What are you even saying?" Weylin's brows knitted together forming a frownThe Mafia's Not So Fluffy Romance Chapter 7

"You don't need to go alone when I am here."The biker spoke, making Garaine smile."Lucia!" Garaine grinned, as she rushed to her best friend. "How did you know that I am here?""Tsk," clicking her tongue, Lucia removed her helmet. Her long brownish curls hung a bit above her waist. Adjusting her biker's jacket, she ran her long, slender fingers through her hair, brushing it backwards. She sharply glanced at the men with scepticism evident in her eyes before returning her gaze to her friend."The locket of the chain, which you are wearing around your neck, has a tracker on it," Lucia arched her brows, shrugging her shoulders
"Lucia?" Garaine poked her best friend's shoulder blade slowly, expecting a reply from her. "Are you still angry with me?""I am riding the bike," Lucia uttered in a cold, serious tone, making her best friend pout.Since they had left the hotel, Lucia didn't speak a single word. Half of the bike ride was silent since Lucia avoided every single word uttered by Garaine. Soon they reached Garaine Jones's residence."Hm." Lucia hummed, telling Garaine that they had reached their destination.Garaine got down from the bike. She glanced at Lucia like a guilty child looking at her mother while the latter didn't even bother to take a glance at her. Pouting, Garaine stared at her best friend,
