A wry smirk played on Ethan's face as he watched her exit the stage, a subtle expression of amusement and perhaps even a touch of satisfaction. Clarissa leaned in close and whispered, her voice carrying a hint of accusation, "You finally found a way to achieve your aims. It's obvious you haven't gotten over her."

Ethan's response was curt yet laced with an undeniable harshness. "Maybe I have, or maybe I haven't. That should be my business, not yours," he replied, asserting his right to privacy.

As the dance finally came to an end, Adriana, trying to lift his spirits, took a step closer and complimented him. "Wow, you are a good dancer," she commended with genuine admiration. However, opportunity for further conversation was swiftly denied as Clarissa swiftly intervened, cutting off Adriana's chance to continue.
