His Insecurity

His frustration gnawing in the depths of his soul, he couldn't bring himself to confide in Clarissa about the turmoil brewing within him. The weight of his worries seemed too heavy to burden her with, and he pretended that it was nothing she needed to know. But deep down, he longed for her understanding and support.

"I guess I need to be somewhere," he finally let out, his voice laced with a hint of resignation.

Clarissa's brow furrowed with concern as she tried to decipher the source of his distress. Sensing his reticence, she made a decision to let him have his space, albeit reluctantly.

"Guess we have to part ways here," she said, a tinge of sadness coloring her words. "I'll go home by taxi. We can catch up tonight then. You can just give me the directions to the venue."
