"Hmm... so you want me to make fake documents to let you join the company?" asked Carlos.
James nodded. He only told him the part of the mission that made James go all the way here. He occasionally looked in the other direction; there were some maids who seemed to be pacing around with nothing to do.
"Can you trust the people around here?" asked James, narrowing his eyes to look into the depths of the house.
"Do you suspect my maids?" asked Carlos.
"The mission I'm on is important. I don't want to take the slightest risk by ignoring my suspicions," explained James.
Carlos placed his small glass on the table, no longer pouring the brandy as he thought the effects were already starting to affect his mind if he continued.
"Don't worry. Almost all of my servants in this house know that I'm a spy," Carlos replied, smiling to try and calm James down.
The man started to stand up from his seat, making James rise to follow him. Carlos'
James said goodbye to Carlos and Eva. Both were seen standing in front of their restaurant, ushering James away. The car driven by Flynn began to drive away from the residential area. James occasionally glanced back, right where Carlos and Eva returned to the restaurant. His right hand was still clutching the piece of paper Carlos had given him, the one with Klaus' address in Denmark. He didn't want to wait any longer, afraid James would miss his trail. "Where's Zac?" asked James, curious. "I've already informed him. He'll be at the airport in 20 minutes," Samuel said, looking back to show his mobile phone. "That's great. We'll probably be travelling around Europe today. I hope you're prepared," explained James.
James waited outside the classroom, occasionally listening to the explanation from Klaus, who teaches physics. It was his expertise, designing several devices according to the laws of physics to make a machine fail to work. Apart from sabotage, his temper was built on his work as an interrogator. Not a few criminals had disabilities just because of their stubbornness and Klaus's harsh methods. "It looks like it's going to be alright. You can go back to the car," James replied. "Are you sure?" asked Flynn. James nodded. He showed the gun he had brought, making Flynn and Samuel surprised. They eventually complied with James' wishes, returning to their earlier places and leaving the man alone in the campus hallway. After ab
"Take this," Klaus said, handing over a piece of paper with something written on it. James accepts the paper, seeing that what's written on it is an address. Klaus had written down the address of Lara's home in Turkey to make it easier for James to find her. He nodded, putting the paper into his trouser pocket for use. The conversation between him and Klaus ended, he said goodbye to the man. James stepped out of Klaus's office, looked out over the campus, and saw the city skyline turning dusk, a sign that time was running out and night was about to come. Flynn and Samuel were waiting at the campus gate, James' arrival attracting their attention to approach him immediately. "What do we do now?" asked Flynn, curious. "Tell Zac, ask him about his condition. We might go to another place," replied James. "I'll do it," said Samuel. The man took out his phone and dialed Zac, who was immediately picked up by the Lawrence Family
"How did you know my home?" asked Lara, sitting next to James as she wrapped a bandage around James' injured arm. "Carlos told me you were in Turkey; Klaus gave me your home address," James replied. "Oh, so you visited them both before coming here?" asked Lara. James nodded. There were no truly fatal wounds on his body, only scratches and cuts from the booby traps in this house. James' two bodyguards chose to wait downstairs; they obeyed the man not to be on the second floor. Lara was seen tying the bandages and putting the finishing touches on the treatment. After everything was done, she returned the medical equipment to the box. "I heard you had a joint training with the intelligence agency in this place?" asked James. "It ended two days ago," Lara replied, looking back at where she was already packing her suitcase. "I'm actually heading home tomorrow. My sister is in hospital," Lara said. Between Carlos and Klaus, L
"So, what's your purpose for seeing me?" asked Lara, sitting in the copilot's seat next to James. "Major Gilbert gave me a mission after two years of waiting. This mission is related to the abuse of DD pills," said James. "DD pills? I feel like I've heard of it before," Lara said. "It's a green-colored drug; the effect of taking the pill is hallucinations," said James. "There have been many victims in Carran because of this drug. If I don't stop it soon, seven generations will be destroyed," James continued. Lara's eyes widened, not expecting the effects of drug use to be that bad. Since both were focused on carrying the plane, James would tell Lara many details of the mission when they arrived at Lawrence's residence.
Eight hours later. James woke up with a headache, his eyes seemingly spinning endlessly around him. He saw he was already in the room of his residence, with food and drink served on the nightstand near the bed. There were three bowls with different fillings; one bowl contained bread, and the remaining two were soup and grapes. A glass, along with the bowls, seemed to be kept on the nightstand. James looked up at his room, clearly seeing it was already 1 p.m. James picked up the glass and drank the water in it. "Is Lara coming home?" asked James, curious. He was sitting on the edge of the bed, drinking from the glass. The bedroom door opened, and two maids walked in carrying different trays. Lara and Carlos were standing looking at the whiteboard; none of the people in the displayed photos were known. James alone was busy looking for a mini-projector to show the mission details to the two. "There are three people with the name Rosewood here. Are they involved in this case?" Lara asked James. "From what I can tell, they are involved with each other," James replied. "Oh, now I understand why Major Gilbert asked you to marry one of the Rosewoods," said Lara. James walked from another room, the tool room, to his office. His right hand seemed to hold a box-shaped mini-projector with a small glass ball in the center. "Prime," James called out, activating the AI system that had been on standby. [Prime activated] [Is there anything you need, Mr Lawrence?] "Please copy the entire mission data to the mini USB," explained James, sitting on the single-seat sofa while looking at the glasses lens. "Is Lorenzo's mission unfinished?" James asked Carlos. "I think so. He said he got the mission three weeks ago, so he'll probably catch up with us in the next one or two weeks," Carlos replied. "He'll understand when he comes here," said James. James sat on the single-seat sofa, staring at his laptop and a mini projector. Carlos sat alone to his right while Klaus sat on the long sofa close to Lara. "Before we go on this mission and split up the tasks, I need to ensure you don't have anything important to leave out, right?" James asked. "Eva can run the restaurant with her waiters. I'm ready for this one," Carlos replied. James smiled, his head circling to look at Lara and Klaus. Lara didn't mind, as long as the mission area was only in Carran. Besides being close to the hospital where her sister was being treated, Cerbero didn't dare approach this area. "As long as Cerbero doesn't follow me here, I'll do it," Lara said.
