Chapter 29 - Increasing Casualties

Lara's white sedan stopped right near the Rosewood residence. James had asked her to do that so the people in the house wouldn't notice her arrival in a luxury car.

"Are you sure you're going back to this place? Didn't they always hurt you?" Lara asked.

James removed the seatbelt from his body, smiling with his head turned towards Lara, " These days, I often leave the house. I'm just afraid they'll get suspicious."

The car door opened, James stepped out carrying his black suitcase. Lara said goodbye, leaving the place as Tobias began to walk towards the back of the house.

James entered quietly, preventing the people in the house from finding out. As the door opened, he was met by several maids working in the kitchen, apparently cooking something.

"James," greeted one of the maids softly.

"Is there a guest?" asked James, curious.
