“This family had no relationship with him, in fact, I am hundred percent sure that they have never met before,” Lan heard as the woman appeared beside her and they continued to walk away from the house.

“I thought as much,” Lan replied dully.

“Do you plan to continue to investigate him?”

Lan furrowed his brows and scratched the skin in the middle of his brows. “I simply find him intriguing. He was a nobody one day and all of a sudden, he had to turn to something of interest, what makes me want to find more about it is how he makes it open while keeping secrets.”

“He borrowed some money from Young Lord Ashton, I wonder if he wanted to start freeloading off him.”

“He invested in a trader who was at the edge of quitting, he bought everything he was selling because the trader insisted that he can't continue to sell because he would go bankrupt. Both Tarex and Lan stared at the sword that was coming straight at them with wide eyes, of course they had nothing to defend themselves with and both sides were perfectly aware of that. It wasn't a secret that Astrad was a No-Energy City and those born in the city and its direct descendants usually didn't have any man inside them no matter if they were in their city or in another city.Going to Villeria which was filled to the brim with mana wouldn't even help their case. Both brothers knew that they definitely wouldn't kneel down to the guy but they didn't understand why Ashton had to go ahead and provoke him.The sword was just about to reach them when another sword intercepted it and changed its course of direction, making it hit the floor and leaving a deep gash in the earth.Tarex stared at the gash in horror, wondering if that was the same effect it would have on them, he turned to look at Ashton who was smiling in a super annoying way before his gaze landed on Elaris who was st

It seemed almost impossible…no, it was quite impossible.“No matter what truck he was supposed to be up to, there was no way he would be able to beat down twelve men who would be channeling their mana into their swords and using it to fight him.”“Even if he was capable, he couldn't possibly be that capable,”“What capability? From what I have seen, he is one of the young masters playing hero, he probably has never set foot outside of Astrad.”“Then, I like it like that. When they are done with him, it would teach him never to breach his space.”Ashton could hear the murmur and so could Elaris but while Ashton pressed his lips thinly because of the thin despair he felt over the situation, the subject of the matter remained standing in a position that showed that he was truly relaxed.Lan and Tarex knew that he was up to something but they couldn't point on it exactly, after all, he could be walking through fire and he wouldn't be freaked, the biggest mistake they wouldn't ever date ag

Elaris was finally able to match the man's movement and struck his sword against the man's own.Clang! The sound resonated through the hall.Elaris had to admit that his new body wasn't anything like the old one because he could feel the way the strength in his arms was greatly tested but he didn't grunt.“I didn't do anything bad to you, you should be able to use it in a few hours,” Elaris shrugged as he pushed the man blade away in time to dodge another one coming for him from behind. He gripped the new attacker’s arm, kicked him in the knees and flipped him over to land in the floor heavily in time to deliver another kick to another man’s stomach, he promptly bent over in pain and Elaris used his back as back to kick another man's face while also blocking another man's sword.Their faces had all blurred to him but it was alright since that wasn't what had his attention, he was more focused on beating them down. And that was what he was doing because in a blink, the only people stan

The best place he could think of to get away from the buzz at the hall was the tavern.Dark, warm and quiet, the interior of the tent was blocked away from the outside light and they could only hear the buzz outside faintly. After ordering some alcoholic drink, he sat to the side and decided to drown himself in his own sorrow. What else could he do? He couldn't even do anything to Elaris if he tried, not with the way Lord Rades stuck to him and talked for eternity. He didn't miss the way Ashton was always hanging around as if he was some sort of protector, there was also this admiration that he didn't see often in his brother’s eyes.Tarex sighed and gulped the rest of the liquid in the cup, scrunching his face as he let it down, this type of sharp alcohol was not anywhere in Astrad and he didn't think that it would be available in ten years or so.Maybe it was from another city but it was sure that you would find anything you wanted in Embrayl, that was just the way it was.Even till

Oliver turned his attention to him and raised a brow in surprise.“Why are you asking for that man?” he couldn't resist asking and Elaris sighed, Ashton didn't give him the time to start talking before he explained angrily.“How would we know about some stupid man if not because some members of this stupid hall wanted to test our brain. They believe that we are brawn but no brains,” Ashton moved back and pointed to both himself and Elaris.“Do we look like we don't have brains?”“Well, it is not like those who didn't wrote it on their forehead that they were stupid,” Oliver mumbled and Ashton glared at him fiercely before he unravel his fan to give himself some cool air or maybe it just for the sole purpose of placating himself before he did it quite furiously.“As if the mere insult wasn't enough, they told us to look for ‘The man who could give anything’ as if there was such a thing in the world.Even themselves didn't know his place but they told us who just arrived at this city a

It wasn’t the sort of place that he could just bring either Ashton or Caden to.He was a dead man anyway, but the others were great assets to the empire and they would bring about many great changes. He could die with a little bit of peace knowing that they were out there somewhere and didn’t like the bad things that the Visterian king was up to.He started walking forward, taking one step after the other without catching the sight of anyone. • Chapter 62: The Violent Harsh City

Nethrowl City; the third city on the pyramid in the empire. It was a city that shared a border with almost every city in the empire, a very dry, rocky, harsh city with harsher dwellers. The places in the city that weren’t often visited or lived in by the Neths were spiked with thorny bushes and their houses were mostly wood because any other form would cause too much heat in the harsh city and those houses were painted in mostly brown and grey. The whole city is surrounded by the scent of heavy metal and everything about it was hostile; it was strictly advised never to bring an adult who couldn’t watch after himself, talk less of a child. The city was recorded to be the dwelling place of great generals and many warriors when the Slave War broke out centuries ago, it was chosen because the open desert space was close to every major city which allowed the soldiers to enter any city quickly once help was requested.Centuries later, only people whose upbringing was similar to the harsh cl
