Ueaz glared at him as if Caden just said something to offend him while Estrina also frowned but Azacia hurried to defend them all. “It is not stealing if you return it once you are done.”

“Besides, if they didn’t want us to steal it, then they wouldn’t have placed it in the middle of the yard and say that anyone is free to steal it.” Ueaz shrugged and both Estrina and Azacia nodded.

“That doesn’t automatically give you a pass to rob them, you don’t see anyone stealing Astrad city treasure,” Caden argued.

“That is hard to decide since Astrad doesn’t have any treasure of any sort, even money is hard to find in that city,” Oliver replied and Caden glared at him.

“That is beside the point.” Caden said.

“No, that is the main point.” Rex agreed.

“Let us just go and find a place to stay for the time we are here,” Elaris said, bringing their attention away from what they were discussing, he needed to find a good place to help Caden do his first channeling so that he would be in time for the s

This is your surprise!” The man had the nerve to look like he had been deeply betrayed by them.“Surprise? How about I slice your head off your neck as a surprise for your surprise,” Azacia asked angrily, she was already marching forward to the man who was stepping with the animals and Estrina quickly wrapped her hands around Azacia’s arm to stop her.“I don’t mean any harm! This is a nice kind of surprise in Nethrowl! The animals aren’t going to do anything to y

Both Caden and Estrina glanced at each other nervously, before nodding at the same time as if they were giving each other the resolution that was needed.“Since I am going to benefit from whatever is done today, I am not going to let fear be the reason why it is impossible,” Caden said, and Estrina nodded in agreement.“Since we are on the same page, you can start now. Just do it just like you were told, don’t think, block out every sound and let it all come to you effortlessly.” Elaris instructed as the both of them closed their eyes and put to good use, the explanation that was provided to them earlier.“What do you plan to do in this city? Something tells me that you are not here only for Caden’s first channeling,” Ashton said but Elaris didn’t say anything, he only focused harder on the two people in front of him.Ashton only sighed when he figured that Elaris wasn’t going to say anything.“Alright, I would trust you to tell me before you start though, I don’t want to get into tro

Elaris stared at the desert in front of him and exhaled heavily, the land spread wide ahead and there was no trace of any other thing than the desert that he was seeing. At one glance, the place didn’t look dangerous but Elaris had heard about the story of the place from his father, it was a very unpredictable place where people could die without knowing what killed them. It wasn’t the sort of place that he could just bring either Ashton or Caden to.He was a dead man anyway, but the others were great assets to the empire and they would bring about many great changes. He could die with a little bit of peace knowing that they were out there somewhere and didn’t like the bad things that the Visterian king was up to.He started walking forward, taking one step after the other without catching the sight of anyone. He was all alone here and that was what made him even more vigilant because he had to watch out everywhere. He hadn’t even gotten halfway and was walking beside a cave before he

Their limbs were that of animals, giving them sturdy movement while their head and the upper body was that of a human, giving them the flexibility they had.Outlanders were creatures that gave off extreme fear just by seeing them alone, they were abnormal to humanity, what made the matter worse was that they didn’t have any brains but they had emotions. They could laugh as they were killed and cry when they were killed. Some of these outlanders were kids but because of the way they were, their growth was abnormal and they could stand tall to the level of an adult woman while their faces still carry on the smallness and innocence of kids.Their hands a

Rule #10; Never trust your teammate or your partners in the desert of Faded Mountain. Not because of their cruelty but because of the desert’s credibility. The group had remained around each other in order to be able to defeat the beasts, it was easy for one person to distract them while the other attacked from behind, they were creatures with no brain so they had no idea that it would be better for them to help one another. The controller must be feeling so frustrated.Elaris glanced around the group as he got behind another outlander and stabbed it deep in the back, he peeped from behind it and observed the group.Yute was helping Hete out of danger while the rude guy stabbed the outlander who tried to get him, the leader was acting as a decoy while the gentle one stabbed another titan from behind.Elaris smirked, the controller was really angry at his pets.He got away from behind the outlander as it fell to the ground, he removed his sword from where it was lodged on its back and

“I would really like to enjoy a glass of alcohol in my village once I am back,” The leader said and Elaris turned to look at him.Hete’s body had been burnt and someone had provided Yute with a pendant that would hold some of his ash as a symbol that he was always with him. Now all of them sat at the darker part of the cave in silence, thinking about the activity that had happened that day and how they had lost another member of their rescue team. The cave was really quiet and there was no natural noise too, the cave was also nice too because it didn’t look grimy like every other cave that littered the desert.“That is if you made it back.” Elaris replied.“I really want to make it back but you are right though,” The captain looked up and stared at the wall above them. “It is not up to me. Those outlanders are terror.”“It is not only outlanders that have the ability to kill people in the desert, there are natural disasters too,”“We would get lucky and we wouldn’t see any.” The grump

“What the hell are you talking about? Leth is not like that! He had been with us even before we started his journey at all and had been helpful throughout,” The temperamental guy said and Elaris raised a brow at him in something akin to amusement.“You think that he has been helping you?” Elaris replied.“Of course, he had been doing that! He is from the same village as ours and grew up alongside Yute and Hete, he was the one that was there for them when their parents died and their family victimized them. He was their only rock, there was no way he was the controller that had been directing the outlanders in the forest even before we got here.” The leader said, but his voice was calm and tight, it was so obvious that the accusation wasn’t sitting right with him.“So that was why you hesitated why the outlanders tried to rip Hete apart?” Elaris asked but Leth didn’t say anything, he only stared at the floor intently as if he had found something important. The temperamental guy went to

I feel like we have been walking for an entire year and we have been getting nowhere,” The temperamental guy grumbled and Elaris almost glared at him.“It had only been like three days since we left the cave,” The leader answered but the man shrugged anyway, choosing to stand by what he said.“It is not very far but it is still quite the walk,” Elaris replied. “At any rate, we should get there within a day or two.”“That is good then, I could use a place to take a proper rest,” Yute shrugged and the leader nodded in agreement. The man had lightened up a bit more since they left the cave, the first day was spent moping about quietly, he was lost in his own world and kept fiddling with the pendant that was hanging from his neck while the other members of his team led him through the right way and making sure that he ate and drank when it was necessary. The second day was occasional words but he looked better than the first day and right now was the
