Chapter 24

At Ophelia's house.

The room where songs from musical instruments used to be heard is now absent. It was quiet and still. There was no Ophelia in the room. The maid who wanted to knock on her princess's room door hesitated.

"Isn't the young lady in the room? How is it quiet?" muttered the maid, asking herself. She had been tasked by the great mistress, Ophelia's mother, to call her daughter to join them for dinner.

"I'll knock. If I don't knock, I don't know if someone is inside," finally, the maid decided to knock on Ophelia's door anyway.

Knock! Knock! Knock!

"Young lady, the great mistress has been summoned to join us for dinner."

But twice, the maid knocked on the door and called out to her young lady; the maid heard nothing from inside the room. Not even the sound of people moving.

"Did something happen? How is this?"
