8 ~ Thank You, Mr!

CHAPTER EIGHT 

The onlookers gasped at his actions. They didn't believe a young, skinny man could do that. They could have assumed he has superpowers, but none of them believe in that stuff. 

“The Young Man is a hero! He saved the little girl. ”

“I wished to have his strength and power. Can't you see how he screams, and pulls the car door? It's just unbelievable to me"

Benjamin  shouted angrily at the woman, “What are you still waiting for? Take your daughter out of the car! You don't want her dead, do you?” 

She ran towards the car in a hurry, she saw her daughter sleeping. She cried, and brought her out of it. 

She looked at her daughter with so much happiness. She had lost hope before but the young man brought her joy back to her. 

She looked at the young man and appreciated him for saving her daughter. “Thank you so much, Mr! You saved my little princess, and I'm really grateful about that. Whatever help you need, please don't hesitate to ask for it!” 

Benjamin  smiled sheepishly at the woman's words. He was about to respond when he saw the car had started to fire. 

With wide eyes, he got up from the ground, and ran towards the woman. “You can't stay beside the car! It's about to explode! Let's move away from here.” 

With that being said, he dragged the woman, alongside her daughter, to a safe zone. 

He smiled at the woman, “You don't have to thank me for anything. I did what I think it's right, and that's by saving your daughter. At first, I was angry! You nearly ran into me, and I might have been dead if I didn't act quick." 

"I am really sorry about that! I don't know what happened, I can't control the car anymore.” The woman muttered, and pleaded, “I'm sorry! Thanks for saving my daughter. I don't think I survived the heartbreak if anything happened to her. She is all I have!" 

"Hmm.. It's alright, ma'am! Nothing is going to happen to her. How is she? Is she sleeping?” He asked. 

The woman glanced at her daughter, “Sure! I think she needs to see her savior!" She chuckled, and tapped the little girl in her head. 

Unfortunately, the girl wasn't waking up. She was unconscious, and the beautiful woman's countenance changed drastically to that of worries. 

She began to fidget on the spot, she stuttered, “S.s.she isn't waking up! I don't know what's going on!”Her voice was trembling. She continued tapping her daughter but it proved abortive. The Little Girl wasn't waking up. 

The woman looked up to Benjamin , “Please save my daughter! I don't want to lose her!" She cried helplessly.  

Benjamin  touched the girl's body, and his healing power started to work. It was revealed to him that the girl had a fracture but the reason why she was unconscious was because she had a congenital heart disease. 

He was saddened by this revelation, he stared pitifully at the little girl. She was suffering from pains, and very soon, she might leave this world. 

Remorsefully, he decided to cure the disease with the help of the Apollo ring. He grabbed the girl from her mother, and said, “You don't have to worry! Your daughter is fine, she was unconscious due to the accident. She can't control the shock, that's the reason for her being unconscious." He lied to the woman. 

Benjamin  pretended to do CPR for the girl, but he shouted inside, because he could only use his deity power to save the girl. 

But he was shockingly found that his deity power was not enough.

“What's going on? What am I going to do?” He did the CPR for the second time, and applied some pressure into the girl's chest. Still, the girl didn't wake up, and he was worried. 

He breathed heavily, Benjamin  was very weak, and tired. The deity power had been drained, and it's reacting on his body so badly. 

He tried doing it for the third time, but fortunately, before he could do the CPR, the little girl woke up, the deity power had brought the girl out of danger. 

The woman's face brightened up, she was so excited. She grabbed the little girl out from Benjamin 's hands, and kissed her all over her face. 

“Thank you for coming back to Mommy! Please don't scare me anymore. Mommy loves you!" She teared up in joy and happiness. Losing her daughter isn't something she can withstand. All her hopes are on the little girl. 

After displaying and showering the little girl with love, she glanced back at Benjamin , and cried appreciatively. 

She saw Benjamin  try to do CPR for her daughter and believed it was because of the CPR her daughter woke up from unconsciousness. 

She thanked him with tears, “I really appreciate your efforts for saving my daughter. This is the second time you are saving my daughter, Mr! You brought back my joy and happiness. Thank you so much, Mr!” 

She continued to say, "What can I do to show my appreciation? Money? Name anything you want, I'm going to do it!” 

Benjamin  waved his hand dismissively, “You don't have to worry about thanking me, ma'am! I did it out of pity and love. It's a normal thing to do!” 

The lady was surprised by Benjamin 's antics, and couldn't help but like him even more. He was very courteous and responsible — she thought. 

What do you mean by I shouldn't worry? Mr, I will look wicked if I don't appreciate your efforts. You saved my daughter for the second time. I owe you my life, young man!” Benjamin  broke into laughter as she muttered. The woman was persistent, and he could see how sincere the woman was. 

Well, as for him, he hadn't saved the daughter just because of her money, but that of kindness, and pity. 

Surprisingly, he could feel some reaction  in his body. His body that was once weak had reenergized and felt strong. 

Benjamin  found with her appreciation, his deity power was restored again. It turned out that he could use his deity power to save people, and their appreciation could help the power restore.
