Chapter -3 Saved the life

        Instantly, everyone became puzzled, and this was when they all directed their gaze towards Aiden. 

"Poisoned and not sick.......what does he mean?" They all thought and looked at themselves. 

" Who is this man?"

The doctor couldn't believe his ears, and he frowned hard as he stood up. " What are you?"

" I am me," Aiden said with a harmless smile. 

But the doctor only became more confused and got suspicious of Aiden.  

" Do you even know what you are saying? How can you simply detect the lord is poisoned and not sick, with just a mere observation! Young man, we are not joking here okay? "

As the doctor said all that, he seized Aiden up and down and shook his head. 

Aiden ignored whatever the doctor might be thinking about him and shrugged casually. " I know what am saying, and I am not the type to joke in times like this, or do I look like a jester to you?" He raised his brows, as he stared at the doctor, who was still frowning. 

" Then, why did you say the lord is poisoned and not sick? If it is a poison, I could easily detect it with my advanced medical equipment, but I didn't get anything. This definitely means you don't know what you are saying!" The doctor looked down on Aiden, trying to brag about what he could do with his advanced equipment, and he crossed his arms on his chest. 

" I can easily detect poisons, but Lord Osric's is a strong poison, and the reason why I am able to detect it, is because of the tiny black points on his face and the smell of poison around him. It is a mysterious and very rare poison, that's why you can't detect it with your advanced equipment," Aiden gave a come back to the doctor, even though his words appeared gentle, but there was still a hint of sarcasm in them. In short, Aiden was being derisive. 

This now dawned on the doctor, and his expression changed into an embarrassed one. Immediately, he shifted his gaze away from Aiden to the unconscious Lord Osric. This was when he also carefully observed the Lord and actualised Aiden was actually telling the truth. Feeling more embarrassed, he lowered his head and even started to doubt his competency. 

The eldest son, Cole, darted his eyes from the doctor to Aiden, before he realised something, and he instantly scowling, pulling a hard face. 

" You are not his assistant! Who are you, and what are you doing here?!" It was at this time, he also realised Aiden was putting on just a simple ordinary cloth meant for a commoner. 

Cole was chessed off, mainly because no one knew who Aiden was, and the fact that the latter had the insolence boldness to enter the villa without anyone's permission. Today wasn't a normal day when any peasant can just come in without permission! 

" Just who does he think he is?!" He thought annoyingly. 

Aiden also faced Cole and twitched his lips, he couldn't care about Cole's words as he has something better to attend to. 

" You should keep your voice low, you don't want to complicate the Lord's situation right? Or do you want that?" He gazed right into Cole's eyes, and he could see his words did nothing but irked Cole more. 

" Punk! How dare you talk to me like that? Don't forget the territory that you are! I can easily shut you off without the outside knowing!" Irritated and enraged, Cole clenched his jaw, glaring at Aiden, and he hissed loudly. 

Damn! He was going to call the guards to throw Aiden out mercilessly! 

Everyone just quietly watched how Cole and Aiden were acting. They couldn't say anything since they weren't even in the mood to exchange words. 

" Get out of here!" Before Aiden could do anything, Cole stepped forward angrily and pushed him away from the lord! " People like you are not welcome or needed here!"

" Can you calm down?" Aiden stopped Cole in a calm manner. He didn't even bulge, despite how hard Cole pushed him, and it only appeared as if Cole was just wasting his time.

Then, he took out a bottle of medicine from his bag in front of everyone. " I can save Lord Osric," he said candidly, with a frank face.

" What?! No! You are a scam!" Cole pointed to him and shook his head negatively, refusing to accept Aiden's words. " You can't do anything! You don't know anything! I won't even let you touch him!" He yelled, standing on his ground firmly. 

Aiden shook the bottle of medicine in his arms, but he didn't move away from his spot. He was waiting for what Cole will say next or maybe he was going to change his mind. 

At the same time, Cole's younger brother stepped closer to Cole and tried to persuade the latter. 

" I don't think you should do this," Cole's younger brother named, Antonio, said as he placed his right hand on Cole's shoulder. 

" And why?" Cole turned his head slowly to him, narrowing his eyes at his younger brother. 

Antonio sighed, pondering on if Cole will allow Aiden to cure the lord. 

" Obviously, the doctor couldn't do it, so why don't we let him try it since he said he can save father's life." 

" No! I am not agreeing with that!" Cole bluntly refused. 

" It just a trial! There is no harm in trying, and we must remember father is dying gradually!"

Antonio's last words made Cole to finally agree. With great reluctance, he stepped away and told Aiden, " You can try to do your thing now but make sure you save him at all cost, or if something bad happens to him, I will personally have your head down!" He threatened, as a murderous glint flashed across his eyes. 

Aiden just smiled but said nothing. 

Without wasting any time, he opened the lid of the bottle and fed it to the lord, then he stepped back. 

" What's going to happen now?" Someone asked curiously, but no answer was given. 

The time was ticking and funny enough, some were even sweating and anxious. 

Cole glanced at Antonio and pressed his lips together. 

Thirty seconds later, before anyone could complain again, something unexpected betide. 

The lord suddenly jerked and started coughing out black blood, which appeared so unreal! 

Instantly, everyone panicked and started screaming nervously. They all thought this was a bad omen! 

" What have you done?! I told you to save him and not make things worst!" Cole was infuriated and scared, to the extent his face turned red, and he fisted his palms. 

" Guards!"

Swiftly, the whole living room was surrounded with heavily armed guards, that were wearing a vicious cold look, and immediately, they all pointed their guns towards Aiden as directed by Cole. 

But compare to everyone, Aiden was calm and composed as if he wasn't the one about to be shoot.

" Take him to the den!" Cole ordered, not caring if others were watching this. 

The guards stepped forward to Aiden and carried him. They didn't give him a chance and was about to drag him out........

Until, another unexpected thing happened again..........l

Aiden who was now aiming at guns is still calm. He suddenly smiled when the Lord stopped vomiting blood and slowly woke up.

Everyone was stunned and looked at Lord Osric who was now conscious, Doctor Alphonse could not believe that a stranger was able to save the Lord's life.

"H-How?" Cole asked in surprise. "But..."

"I told you, he was vomiting black blood to get out the poison," Aiden repeated.

The doctor quickly approached Lord Osric to check the condition of his body, which just now was very weak and seemed limp.

"I-Impossible..." he said in shock when he learned that the Lord was healthy again. "Lord Osric is doing well!"

The guards lowered the guns they were holding that were aimed at Aiden. The atmosphere in the whole room was also relaxed and everyone was happy with the good news brought by the doctor.

"He saved Lord Osric's life!" announcement of the doctor, reason for everyone to applaud.

Their bad look at Aiden was replaced with joy, they were no longer surprised by his personality.

The youngest Henry was very happy and thanked Aiden very much. "I knew you could save my father, I'm glad I trust you. Thank you for bringing him back." "I just did what I knew." Aiden smiled and nodded. "It's nothing."

"Mister," Doctor Alphonse called to Aiden.

He looked at her. "What is it?"

"You did great. I didn't think you could really save The Lord although I didn't do that. I can only say one thing, ``You are a great healer," said the doctor.

"Hmm, here," Aiden reached for the bottle he gave Lord Osric to drink.

The doctor looked at it strangely. "What is it?"

"I'm giving you this. So that if someone is poisoned or if this incident happens again, you know what to do. Just give them this and I assure you that they're safe," Aiden explained to him and finally gave him the bottle. in the hands of the doctor.

Alphonse couldn't believe how good Aiden's will was. What was once serious, Now is smiling at him.

While everyone was celebrating, Cole still couldn't accept that what Aiden said about their father's situation was true. He was wrapped in shame for the accusations he had made against Aiden.

He couldn't believe his Father was awake again because of the stranger they didn't expect to see.

"What's going on?" suddenly asked the Lord who stopped them all. "Cole? Henry? Felicia?

Sweetheart? Why is everybody here?"

Cole never missed an opportunity to show off to Father.

"F-Father..." he promised tearfully.

"Why are you crying? What happened?"

"We were just eating breakfast in the dining area when suddenly you passed out. You were unconscious for many hours and we had Doctor Alphonse to look for you but he wasn't able to see what was wrong. We thought you're sick and you're gonna die but thanks to this man," Cole turned to Aiden who now had a serious face. "He was the one who cured you even though we had an argument earlier about your situation and made things complicated, he never failed us."

The Lord turned to the people in surprise and believed what his eldest son said. Lord Osric turned to Aiden. "Thank you for saving my life, Mister."

"You don't have to mention it," was Aiden's only response. "Just be careful next time."

Lord Osric was about to shake his hand but he noticed the familiar mark on Aiden's palm so he stared intently at Aiden's face.

"Uhm, excuse me. Have we met before?" the Lord asked but Aiden didn't answer him.

"Mister, Lord Osric is asking you..." Alphonse reminded next to Aiden.

"Oh, right! We still haven't known your name. What was your name, Mister?" Henry asked.

Aiden didn't answer any of them. It just looks at the Lord silently and seems to be trying its memory.

"If you don't mind, is your name Aiden Turstin? The long lost child of Turstin Family and the one who had a marriage contract with my lovely granddaughter, Livia?"
