Yellow scorching beams rained down on them, piercing through the ground, leaving deep, smoking holes.

The continues barrage chipped away on Oliver’s shields, as it drove him to summon several of them to create a shell like defense.

All they could do during that time was to take cover and accept the full force of each of those attacks.

“Come now, sniffer. I am sure that isn’t all you’ve got.”

Carl hollered, grinning with delight at each bombardment that he’d send their way. It elated him, seeing how sturdy those conjured defense was.

After a few moments, he stops, noticing the silence and lack of movement from the dome like shell that stood there.

He narrowed his gaze to get a peek, forcing his power to sense and confirm they were still there. He hissed, charging at it with a compressed energy in his fist to give it a good blow.

His blood raced, watching the thing instantly fall down, disintegrating upon contact, revealing that nobody was hiding behind it.

“Tricky little bastards.”
