CARDS DEALT
"Haha!" Julius exclaimed in victory as he stretched from his chair, wrapping his arms around the pile of betting chips in the center of the poker table, and then pulled everything to his side of the table.

As he was doing that, at each side of the same poker table were the grandchildren of the VIPs who were all throwing what remains of their poker cards on the table while rolling their eyes and sighing in defeat.

"Five straight games and still undefeated!" Julius grinned as he turned to Patience who looked at him proudly.

As per the rules of the preliminary, each player has an equal but limited amount of chips to bet with and they were to play five rounds of poker to bring forth a winner.

Three straight wins result in an automatic victory for that player and though Julius got that within the first three rounds they played, the look Patience had when he did pressured him to continue playing. As such he refused to stop there.

They would play two more rounds in which he also came out

So my house is flooded and I’m trying to move to a new location but it’s kind of an inconvenience to write at the same time. I had originally planned to write and publish the remaining chapters to conclude this casino arc in one go but I’ll just publish two for now. The rest should come tomorrow after I’ve written them.
