27. Focus on Your Goals

Again, Brian couldn't believe how the letter was always there on his living room table when the morning greeted him. Brian was curious to see firsthand how this mysterious figure could enter so easily.

“Does Secret have access?” Brian asked himself.

Brian stood up while putting his hands in his trouser pockets. Just like before, Brian had showered and changed clothes before coming down. Not only every time there is a new lead, but every morning Brian is so neat.

"Didn't read it?" Alessia came carrying a tray containing two cups of warm drinks as usual.

The girl was still standing next to Brian, who just stared silently at a small box on the table containing a letter in an envelope.

“I was just thinking, how can Secret get in and out without waking me up,” Brian said. “What about you, did you hear or see anything?” Brian asked, glancing at Alessia who was focusing her attention on the table.

"No," answered the girl briefly. "I didn't hear anything," said Alesia, returning Brian's gaze.
