Chapter 9 - Meeting at Black Cafe

-Primrose Golden Alcazar

Inside a very luxurious hotel suite that screamed of opulence and wealth, an attractive young man poured a bottle of a 19-year-old exquisite red wine into a glass cup.

The young man was dressed in a black bathroom robe, with water droplets still dripping off the pale skin of his dexterously sculpted upper body that spoke of long hours of training exposed. On his muscular well defined back rested a very intricate tattoo of a wolf. His glossy midnight black hair was still wet from the long shower that he had in the jacuzzi.

This attractive young man was of course Nicolas.

After leaving the Clinton Group’s headquarters, Nicolas paid the exorbitant fee of a hundred thousand dollars for a night at the Primrose Golden Alcazar while he waited for Charlotte’s call.

As for whether Charlotte would agree to his deal, he was not bothered about that.

Charlotte’s precious Clinton Group had been backed into a corner. He was sure that she would do anything possible to revive it.

The sound of a phone ringtone suddenly pulled him out of his contemplation. Nicolas frowned slightly as he walked towards the ebony desk his phone rested on.

However, when he saw the caller ID on the phone screen, the frown instantly left his face, and an expression of victory replaced it.

“Miss. Charlotte, have you come to a decision?” Nicolas asked with a smirk on his face.

“Yes. I will do as you say.” Charlotte answered in a defeated tone from the other end of the phone.

After thinking about it long and hard, Charlotte saw that she had no other choice but to accept Nicolas’ deal.

The Clinton Group was already done for after all, and if Nicolas didn’t offer to inject 25 million dollars into her company, the company would have gone bankrupt. Moreover, she wouldn’t be able to pay for her father’s hospital bills anymore.

On the contrary, if she accepted Nicolas’s deal, the Clinton Group will be back to its former glory in less than a month!

In addition to that, Nicolas promised to make the Clinton Group the number one business Group in Stormwind city. Even if she didn’t think he could do so, there was no harm in trying.

“Good. You have made the right decision.” Nicolas replied happily while taking a sip from his glass cup filled with red wine.

“Sign the contract and mail it to me. We will meet at Black café in two hours to conclude the minor details.” Nicolas said in a relaxed tone.

“Alright.” Charlotte replied calmly from the other end of the phone.

“Is there any thing else you would like to say?” Nicolas asked.

“No. None at all.” Charlotte answered.

“Is that so? That’s good then. We’ll meet in two hours.” Nicolas stated before disconnecting the phone call.

-2 hours later-

-Black café, Stormwind city

Inside a very high-priced café in the most expensive parts of Stormwind city, two very attractive people, a male and a female were seated opposite each other, and on the table that separated them from each other was a piece of paper placed neatly on it, alongside two cups of steaming hot coffee.

This two people were of course Charlotte and Nicolas.

“Mr. Nicolas, what are your plans for Clinton Group? How are you going to make them the number one business group in Stormwind city?” Charlotte asked impatiently.

Nicolas, dressed in simple black shirt and black slacks took a sip of coffee not minding how hot it was before replying to Charlotte’s question.

“Naturally, I will have to restructure the company. Don’t worry, it won’t be anything drastic.” Nicolas replied calmly.

“Restructure the company?” Charlotte asked, her tone betraying her confusion.

“Yes.” Nicolas affirmed, his tone calm as ever.

“Frankly speaking, your company inner workings are too primitive compared to the current top companies in Stormwind city.” Nicolas added in a disappointing tone after seconds of contemplation.

In honesty, it was no wonder that the Clinton Group risked a capital chain rupture and were on the verge of going bankrupt. Their company workings were way behind the top business groups, and it was quite visible where it led their company to.

Nicolas’ words even though they were the truth was a bit brutal, so Charlotte’s beautiful face turned a pretty shade of red from the embarrassment she felt.

“Don’t worry. I have already laid out the groundworks for your company to reach the top.” Nicolas assured in a tone filled with mirth when he saw Charlotte’s embarrassed expression.

He then slid over the paper on the table and passed it to Charlotte while speaking.

“This is a concise summary of the plans I have made. Read through it.”

Charlotte accepted the paper and read through it while Nicolas drank his cup of coffee leisurely.

Charlotte’s expression constantly changed as she read through the paper, her expressions ranging from indifference, to shock, to disbelief.

At first, when she accepted the paper from Nicolas, she wasn’t expecting anything remarkable in it. After all she graduated as one of the best business students in her class from Stormwind University, the best university in the whole of Stormwind city, but what she read now thoroughly slapped her in the face. She had been completely wrong about Nicolas from the start!

Charlotte looked up from the paper and stared at the extremely handsome man seated across her with great intensity.

She had guessed it before, but this just proved it to her again.

This handsome young man was not from a simple background; or rather his identity was very special.

“A great plan, isn’t it?” Nicolas asked, his tone layered with confidence.

“Yes. it is.” Charlotte answered truthfully.

Great was really an understatement, Charlotte thought. If anything, it was more than perfect.

Nicolas stretched out his right hand and collected the piece of paper which contained a detailed plan on how he planned to restructure the Clinton Group and tucked it neatly into his pocket before speaking.

“It is good that you agree with my plan. That would make this work very easy for us.” Nicolas said, his tone incredibly affirmative.

“However, to create an ideal work environment for us, we have to take care of some pestering insects, don’t you think?” Nicolas asked with a smile on his lips, but the aura now leaking out of him was very suffocating.

Charlotte struggled to breathe for a few seconds when faced with Nicolas’ aura and was only able to breathe when Nicolas withdrew his aura.

“Insects? What do you mean by insects, Mr. Nicolas?” Charlotte asked, her confusion very evident in her tone.

Nicolas smiled again and took another sip from his hot cup of coffee before replying.

“The Schick Group.”

Charlotte’s eyes widened in shock at Nicolas’ words, but before she could even give a reply, Nicolas cut her short.

"The Schick Group and its heir Patrick Schick are a nuisance in my plans, and I don't like nuisances." Nicolas spoke authoritatively, his piercing blue eyes glinting with an icy gleam.

"Do you mean..." Charlotte began to speak, but her focus was drawn to the attractive Nicolas.

“Yes. I am going to crush the Schick Group thoroughly." Nicolas declared arrogantly.
