39: Warning

As Eric entered the dimly lit club, the atmosphere was heavy with the stench of alcohol and the sound of murmured conversations. In a secluded corner, Martin Skarsgard sat, nursing a drink and cursing vehemently under his breath.

"Damn Radcliffe! If it weren't for him, Sarah Martinez would've been out of the picture by now. The election would've been postponed, and I would've had more time to deal with her," Martin Skarsgard was beyond frustrated.

His friend, sitting beside him, nodded at this.

"Yeah, it's messed up. But hey, didn't Radcliffe have a hand in picking Martinez to run against you?" The man asked, seemingly curious.

Martin Skarsgard's scowl deepened as he took another sip of his drink.

"That's what makes it even worse. Radcliffe is playing dirty, using Martinez as a pawn to spite me," he replied and clenched the glass of vodka he was holding.
