42: To Steal The Bride

As Mr. Radcliffe made his presence known, Mason's eyes narrowed in alert, a mixture of surprise and anger flashing across his face.

This was the same man who had caused him and his family so much suffering, the same man who had plotted his father's arrest and caused his father to await trial.

An enraged Mason stepped forward, his voice laced with fury as he confronted Mr. Radcliffe.

"What are you doing here? Haven't you caused enough damage to me and my family already?" Mason snarled at him, unbeknownst it was Eric.

Mr. Radcliffe adjusted his signature shades with a smirk, his gaze locking with Mason's.

"Emily doesn't want to marry you, Mason. So, the wedding needs to stop," he said.

Gasps of disbelief rippled through the stunned congregation as Mr. Radcliffe's words hung in the air, sending shockwaves through the room.

Emily felt a surge of confusion and disbelief wash over her. Was Mr. Radcliffe acting on Eric's behalf? And if so, how had Eric managed to pull off such a feat?
