Immediately after Sasha left, Kuza turned shyly to Dennis and smiled even more awkwardly.

Dennis returned an awkward smile and quickly apologized

"Sorry about that", he said, letting out a breath; he walked from the hallway towards the kitchen.

Kuza followed and tried to lighten the mood; she waved her hand and scoffed

"Oh, don't worry about that; I've had my share of bad partners. I know how it is".

Dennis paused and smiled; he knew she only said that to make light of the situation and appreciated how civil she was.

Shortly after, he started walking, pulled out a seat and, with a sweep of his hand, motioned courteously

"Please".

After Kuza sat comfortably, Dennis reached into the fridge and then turned sharply to her

"Water or soda?" He asked politely. Looking at the contents in his fridge, he hoped she'd pick the former, as he didn't have any soda in his fridge.

There were only cans of beer and wine, and Kuza didn't look like the kind of girl to enjoy a cold brew.
