"I'm done now with answering the papers," Arwin announced, and Tom looked at the time.
"You still have over twenty-five minutes left. Are you really sure that you are done? Are you sure you don't want to recheck the papers?" Tom asked while in his mind he was thinking. 'She's just an arrogant fool that doesn't know what the best for her is. How could she be done with the test this soon? I even gave her less time than the usual, and more questions to diligently answer. Still, she thinks she's done.
"Yes, I'm done, mister supervisor. I even checked my papers and looked at the questions that I had thoroughly answered twice." Arwin honestly replied and gave the papers to Tom, who just silently snickered and took them.
"If you say so. I will then check these papers through," Tom said, but he already had made his mind that he won't let Arwin pass and pretended to read the papers.
After a while and after flipping through the last paper, he announced. "You failed. I haven't seen this lousy score in a while, so get the fuck out of our guild building and stop wasting my goddamn time. Why do we have to get people like you who think they own the world and believe that they are some kind of super-geniuses while being oblivious to the rest of the world?" Tom spat out these words, almost spitting against Arwin, who was confused about what she was hearing.
"Mister, can you check through the papers again? I think I should at least get a better score, and if not, can you tell where I was wrong?" Arwin asked out, still baffled by Tom's attitude, and somewhat starting to get annoyed.
"You arrogant bastard! You couldn't understand at the first time when I said it kindly? Get the fuck out from the guild’s building! We don't need people like you here! You are just an arrogant person who doesn't know what is best for you and thinks you are super skilled and talented even when you aren't at all.”
“Arrogance would imply that I’m exaggerating my skills, but I’m not! I know that I’m right, and you’re just too stupid to see past your petty judgements.” Arwin protested
Tom called out furiously, “Guards! Come and throw this fool out with her test papers!" and two brutes suddenly appeared and took Arwin, then paraded her through the guild building.
The people inside had already gotten used to a sight like this, and we're just mumbling around that Arwin was just another person who failed the test and couldn't take it.
After they got her out of the guild entrance, the guards threw Arwin out along with her test papers.
Arwin rolled down the stairs hitting her head quite badly against the stone to the point that it started to bleed, and she immediately saw stars around her numbing head.
"Don't come back here, or you won't be this lucky the next time!" One of the guards shouted out while watching Arwin try to stand up but failing and collapsing once again to the ground.
Arwin couldn't hear anything at all, and her sight was getting worse. However, before losing consciousness, she suddenly felt someone placing their hand on her, so she naturally tried to defend herself, delivering a kick straight to the man's crotch that had placed his hand on her shoulders.
The man shouted out in pain. He was also surprised that he suddenly got kicked to his precious place and said while holding his hands around his crotch, "Mother-fu-" The man pursed his lips as he stopped himself from cursing the heavens and the woman who caused his current pain.
Through clenched teeth, he said through his pain, "Good lady! I don't mean any harm to you. I checked your test papers out, and I think my employer might have an offer for a talented person like you. Especially when you can deliver a kick in the condition you are now, I don't know how they could throw a talented person like you away so easily. So if you are interested, just grab my hand, and I will take you to a place where you can rest, and we can tend that nasty wound on your head."
The man placed a hand in front of Arwin so she might see it and grab on it.
Arwin wondered for a while, and the man said. "Lady, we don't have the whole day here. I will still give you a few minutes to think about the offer before I will go my own way." He stated while still on a pained expression, as he clearly was still enduring Arwin's assault from earlier.
Arwin didn't have any other choice than to try and trust this man's words as for now, she was alone here, and she lost her pistol to the guild. So, she grabbed the man's hand a little wonky as her head was still spinning around, and the man suddenly grabbed her as she almost collapsed while she tried to walk.
"Whoa! Whoa there slowly! We don't want you to collapse here, lean on me, and I will take you to the infirmary." The man said and supported Arwin, who wondered if she chose rightly to trust this man or not.
But she did not have any money for now. If this man is telling the truth, she would have a way to earn money, so she decided to just go with the man and chose to lean on him.
"If you touch any of my private places, I will personally castrate you and make you eat your private parts raw," Arwin said with a chilling smile on her face.
"Whoa! The cat also does have a sharp tongue! Don't worry; I'm already a married man with a family. I'm not interested in you or your body. I just think you might be a good employee for my company." The man said, and Arwin sighed from relief. Finally, relaxed around the stranger.
"Hey! hey! Don't collapse now! We will arrive soon at the infirmary, so don't collapse yet." The man said to Arwin, who was wobbling around as her headache was getting worse every second. The world was spinning around her, everything was getting blurry, and her sight betrays her. It was worse than the time she had been drunk with three barrels of ale. "Oh, shit! Wait here, don't move." The man said while realizing that Arwin's condition was getting even worse. 'Those shitheads! Finally, when I found a perfect employee and would have gotten my bonus, they had to injure her to this extent! I don't know what she did to get thrown out like that, but I hope it will benefit us at least.' The man mumbled to himself as he placed Arwin down and made sure that she was sitting correctly and was leaning against a wall for support. Then he started to run straight forward, and after a few hundred meters, he stopped and started to bang at the door hurriedly.
"Hey, is the boss here now?" Timothy asked the secretary that was working on with a stack of papers. She looked at Timothy, annoyed, and sighed before saying, "No, that man did run off again, leaving all of the paperwork to me as usual. So, I hope you are not in trouble or did something horrible again, as I absolutely do not have the time to deal with it now." The secretary said, before releasing a deep breath of exhaustion as she looked at the stack of papers that are still waiting to be done, “If you see him, do tell him to go to hell for me, okay?” "Oh, don't worry, I may actually have a new employee for us. Here would be the recommendation papers that I wanted to give to the boss," Timothy answered while looking at the secretary. "Oh, just leave them at the boss’s table like usual. He will check them out later when he comes back.” The secretary replied and continued giving such a tired smile to Timothy, “Don't worry, I will remind
"Timothy! Watch out! There is someone-“ Timothy’s boss tried to warn him, but he was too late, Timothy was already bleeding, someone hit him at the back of his head. Timothy’s boss continued making such a painful face as if he was the one who got hurt, “Oh, ouch, that must have hurt…" Timothy saw stars for a moment, and blood and wine were dripping out from his head; he was still dizzy, but he gained his composure and mocked his attackers, “What a cheap trick to hit behind my back.” “It’s tactic, you piece of sh*t.” “Yeah- a lazy one.” Timothy continued Suddenly the attacker behind Timothy grabbed him and started to choke Timothy. He said to the ape looking man in front of him, “Boss, I got him to let's teach him some manners now." The ape looking man didn't let this opportunity go and started to throw punches at Timothy simultaneously and powerful ones. Timothy couldn't do anything than receive those vicious hits to his stomach. Timot
"Don't say you got in trouble again? I can feel it. “ Marie said as Silas arrived, trying to hide from her; she continued, “No, I actually don't want to know as I still have all of these papers that you pushed at me on.” Silas laughed jokingly and said, “Don’t say that. You’re the best there is, after all.” “Timothy left you something at your table," Marie said as she rolls her eyes, then she averts her gaze, looking at her boss, tired of his behavior. "Marie, my sweet Marie, do you know how much I do love that attitude of yours? You also know I'm useless with paperwork and better at making connections and money, right?" Silas said while looking at Marie, who suddenly grabbed the closest object from her, that was an inkbottle, and threw it at her boss. "Ayay!" Silas caught it and said, "Marie, you are lucky that the ink bottle is closed and not open. “You know I'm not a masochist, but for you, I will make an exemption and let you dominate me a
Silas was so excited and was experiencing such a thrill. He was rushing his way to meet Arwin that he didn't saw the people, so he ended up bumping into lots of objects and people without caring about them and just getting up and continuing running. He says carefreely, “Sorry about that; I’m about to meet someone truly remarkable!” Everyone looked at him- all were estranged, but he didn’t care. Silas has his eyes set on meeting Arwin. Finally, when he got to the office, he barged inside, making the employees jump up for their seats, scaring some of them completely. They were remarking, “You scared the crap out of us. Why are you here?” The guards automatically threw their weapons out, but when they saw that Silas was unarmed, they placed their swords in halfway on their scabbard, ready to draw them at any time if Silas would show any signs of hostility. Silas was welcomed with protests, “Silas, what the hell was that? Do you kno
"Timothy, how did you get in that condition so quickly? Oh wait- let me guess- was it because Silas and some woman once again?" The doctor said while starting to rummage through his medical equipment. Timothy coughed roughly and said, “Well, what else do you expect?” "Sit down, you know the drill, and that this will hurt a little bit. Just bear with it." The doctor said as he started to clean the wounds on Timothy's head. "Argh! Even though I have gone through this so many times, it always stings like hell." Timothy was complaining while trying not to make any sounds bearing the pain as usual, “How does it look, Doc?” The doctor teased him, “Apart from all the mess I’ve seen you in? This is just a playground scratch for you.” Timothy laughs, fighting the urge to scream in pain. The doctor saw how much pain he was in, and he explained. "It's even worse when there is dried alcohol and pieces of shattered glass all over your hair or skin,
"Y..yo...you are saying that she is that Arwin? She wrote this all? A...and I just made an identification card for a male when it should have been made for a female?" Silas finally muttered out as he sat down on the nearest chair, concerned, “Are you trying to curse me for what I did earlier? Are you kidding me right now?” Silas looked at the doctor to confirm this. The doctor looked away as he chuckled nervously, “Ah, yes, she’s a woman.” "Yes, that is what I'm saying. Who asked you to rush things without even meeting the person first? This is entirely your fault, Silas." Timothy said out while looking at Silas, almost mockingly. He was really having fun seeing his boss like that. It felt like the perfect payback for what happened earlier; Timothy can’t help but grin. "You know, Timothy, this small card costs fifty gold coins now. It cannot be undone when it's done once. So, if you don't want to pay the new one from your own salary, and this one top of it, y
Timothy told Rosa everything that had happen earlier- trying to make it sound less gruesome and violent as it originally was. After retelling the events earlier, Rosa said to him, "You know I have never liked Silas. He is just an annoying asshole. I still don't know why you are working under him. Ah, my poor husband." She reached out and carefully touched his chest, “I think you should consider quitting.” "Me neither, my dear Rosa, I don’t like him- not even by a little BIT. Still, I have to try and endure a little bit, my sweetheart.” Timothy’s eyes sparked with determination as he continued, “I have a plan; listen to me. All of this enduring is to get money to start a life here again as in the mainland, it didn't work out, and we both have fallen love with this continent already. I always thought that if I endured and managed to find a mechanic for Silas who could rebuild or repair the airship, we can steal it after that. For the crew, of course, we would t
