Chapter 12

Fiona had a proud smirk on her face as she heard her uncle's voice. "Now you're truly going to get what you deserve," she spat.

Because of how he was being handcuffed to the chair, Alexander could not turn to see who was by the door until the man walked right to the chair across from him and sat loudly.

"So you're the criminal that stole from my niece, huh?" He asked, his yellow teeth bared at Alexander intimidatingly.

"She has no proof that I stole from her," Alexander replied calmly but that was a mistake, the chief of police grabbed his chin forcefully, definitely leaving a bruise on his tanned face.

"You don't talk while I am still talking!" The man spat and then ordered some of the men to get into the investigation room just in case Alexander was trying to be stubborn.

"I would hate to see you beaten up and bloodied, all you have to do is confess and maybe you won't spend the rest of your life in jail," Grace said, picking at her fingers like she was discussing the
