The silence stretched, with none of the players asking any questions. This forced her to repeat herself.

GAME 7

"Go back to the address you were given yesterday and this time kill the woman who lives there," she said. "The key you got yesterday gives you direct access to her front door." She continued, "Make as many attempts as you want, but make sure you kill the woman."

The Pledgers in the arena room exchanged glances, unimpressed with the previous game. There was nothing exciting about twelve players, the majority of whom being men, going after one woman. First and foremost, it did not make sense, and secondly, it was predictable. A once-exciting, adrenaline-pumping game was devolved into a mocking assassination.

Most of them only stayed in the hope that their players would succeed and cash out the money. The thrill of watching and anticipating how the game would unfold had worn off.

The screens switched and reminded them of the last twelve players;
