Chapter 2: Al'ravee

There's a saying that everything that happens in the universe has an explanation, whether it be logical or mystical, but sometimes what is to be explained doesn't matter, what matters is the level of understanding possessed by an individual to process that explanation.

Nevertheless, that means that the existence of gods shouldn't be an enigma.

All beings who possess a soul can be categorized into different classes namely; Beasts, Mortals, Espers, Spirits, Otherworlders, and gods. Every one of them is unique in their ways, especially the mortals and espers who are spread countless races and spread across different levels of civilization.

The gods, being the most unique of all entities, have a unique way of coming into existence.

For something or someone to die they must first have life and ALL that has life can and will die.

However, it's a different case for gods because they don't even possess life so therefore they cannot and should not die, the concept of life and death will forever remain foreign to them.

The birth of a god is more like that of creation of sorts, the manifestation of the rawest form of energy in the universe, Divinity, coming together to form a soul. One without life in a sense.

So, therefore, gods being created cannot and will not die but can and may be destroyed.

Whether their creation is a natural occurrence or a phenomenon perfectly orchestrated is unknown.

Of course, not all gods are the same, there are strong gods and weak gods. When a god is born, they are naturally at a level known as Mortal god, the weakest of the weakest.

Both physically and mentally at the level of a regular mortal, becoming stronger will involve a lot of factors, the best way to provide external help is for them to think they are mortals, eat like a mortal, sleep like one, and suffer like them. For them, truly ignorance is bliss.

...

At the back of a classroom filled with twenty-odd students was a fifteen-year-old boy who had an oval-shaped face, short brown hair with deep black eyes, he's eyebrows depicting worry and stress.

'How could I have been so stupid, of all people to offend it just had to be them' He thought while eyeing three boys not too far from his position, the boys also seemed to be exchanging glances with him as well. ' Why me, why did it have to be me, the world just decided that today, was the best time to screw me'.

The reason for his worry was that in the morning before classes had even started, he had noticed a commotion in the hallway and like other students decided to see what was up. He arrived at a corner where he saw a rough-looking boy curled up on the floor, a broken glasses not too far from his face, another boy was standing in front of him, kicking violently at his abdomen, and surprisingly no one was interfering, some even brought out their mobile devices to record.

Usually, he would have minded his business as he was one of those guys that would avoid trouble if possible, but today, he happened to be feeling quite hot-headed, with hormones and stuff... Maybe.

He had been wondering what to do for days, feeling a bit restless. So with the false confidence that his tall frame and comic books gave him, he walked over to the boy doing the kicking and shoved him away.

Resisting the urge to put his hands on his waist, he pointed his finger at the supposed beater with a puffed chest and said "Shame on you, bullying people here and there, did your parents not teach you...". However before he could finish, like every normal 'bully', the boy reacted violently to a finger being pointed at him in such a way.

The bully made an attempt to push him away but *SLAP*...

The bully"....."

The boy on the floor "...."

The crowd watching "....."

" Oh my goodness! Ravee slapped him" Someone in the crowd who recognized him as Ravee said out loud.

...

"Mr. Ravee, can you please point out the problem of this type of set up" the teacher called out bringing him back to the present and looking at him with a questioning eye. His name was not Ravee, at least that wasn't his full name. His actual name was Al'ravee but his parents had drummed it into him that on no account was he to tell anyone, so he went by the alias Ravee, simple and easy to remember.

For some reason, he had never disobeyed them considering that he was still young.

....

* Outside the school*

It turns out that the boy Al'ravee slapped was part of a martial arts club in the area. Although he had just joined a few weeks ago, that was enough for the other junior members to treat him as their own. He wasn't the only one though, apparently, all members paid a high price to enter monthly, high enough that most families couldn't afford it, and Al'ravee's family 'couldn't'.

All it took was for a few of them to start and the full power of peer influence was put forward.

The bully that was slapped by Ravee was so shocked that he just walked away. Al'ravee mistook his action for submission, it was later that he found out the boy's origin.

Usually, he would have known about such information because his friends that pass by the club regularly would have told him about it. He has no friends in the martial arts club for obvious reasons.

But this guy was one of those quiet kids in the school, he wasn't even a bully. That's right, he was just retaliating against an actual bully out of anger, the kid on the floor was the actual bully. The glasses on the floor then belonged to the quiet kid and that was also why nobody interfered in the beatdown.

The boys in the class were simply sent to keep an eye on him.

"In the comics, this is not what happens, I'm supposed to go home a hero.. a hero. Wasn't it the dream of everyone to stand up to the school bully, why is this turning into a nightmare? Where exactly did that boldness come from, Ai!, it must have been one of those five minutes of madness I'm sure" Ravee said to himself.

In the distance behind him was a group of boys following tailing him carefully, dangerous looks hanging on their faces. They had a bone to pick with someone, not only had Al'ravee slapped one of them, he had done it so openly and in a way, it appeared like he was defending the bully.

They had to make an example. All that is needed is for Ravee to leave the premises of the school.
