Just when he was counting the concepts in his head to confirm their numbers, his focus was broken by a very annoying sound.
*SHIIIIIIIIING!*Like someone was scraping metal against another metal. Al'ravee was forced to open his eyes and he wasn't even surprised at what he saw.########*A Few Moments Earlier*It's been a few weeks since those researchers had discovered the pod and as planned, they managed to make contact with one of the mid-ranking branch family members. But even then, it wasn't easy. They had to bribe some people to gain access to the man as soon as possible before any other person found out. If not, who knows how ruthless the next people to find it will be. They might even kill them to make sure they get all the benefits. They only gave out bribes because they were convinced that if their discovery came to light, forget about investment in all those former experiments, the reward money from the Divera family would be enough for them to live comfortably for the rest of their lives. And they were right. When images of their findings reached the Divera clan members, although skeptical about the authenticity, still got it sent to the branch head."Make sure this is kept a secret till further notice. I'll send some Enforcers to confirm and secure the area." That was what the Divera clan member said to them. With his status, he could obviously order the law-keeping Enforcers like they were his dogs. The news started moving through many sources until it finally got to the eyes and ears of the current sovereign. Soon, this discovery was shared among the higher-ups of the Divera clan and even got leaked to some big-shots court officials who had no business with it.Lord Zummi, the current ruler of the dynasty, immediately gave orders to the royal guards. All who knew about it had to keep their mouths shut if they wanted to keep their life. After all, the royal guards have been known to rarely do things without the ruler's consent as long as it was in his or her favor.Lord Zummi himself showed keen interest in the opening of the pod. To him, the reason this ancestor lived so long was because of the pod. As long as he could get the pod, he too could live forever. As for respect towards the founder of their dynasty, he didn't give a damn. That series of events led to the bustle happening here today.Around the metal pod were large white tents with hundreds of personnel wearing yellow safety suits that covered their entire body from head to toe. This was the royal guards undercover.Among them was the group of researchers and forest rangers who first discovered the pod. They had already received the reward money and an additional silence money. The only reason they were still here was that they were not permitted to leave.Among all the people present, one of them stood out from the rest. He was a bit tall and the most captivating thing about him was the blue and white exoskeleton mechanical armor he was wearing. Equipped with yellow neon lights in between the joints. The suit gave him a valiant look, like that of a knight in shining armor, and this caused the passersby to not help but stare a bit longer. Through the face shield, one could see a very handsome face with blonde locks that would have gotten the attention of all the ladies anywhere at any time. This man was Darius, one of Al'ravee's descendants and also one of the three commanders of the present decade royal guard.Of course, other descendants wanted to take a look for themselves but Zummi forbade all from going except Darius. It's not like he could force him not to go in the first place plus he needed trusted eyes on the project. As Darius stood in front of the pod, he had mixed feelings about the current situation. From when he was still a child and handed over to the royal guard training program, he had been taught that he had to be loyal to the Ruler, whoever they were.It was his loyalty to the throne and his bloodline privilege that got him his position as a commander. To curb feelings of unfairness, the other two commanders were not of royal blood. As a royal guard commander, Darius had the utmost respect for the founder of the Divera Dynasty and was unsure of who's orders to obey if it came down to it.Because of the brainwashing, Darius never thought of the third option, which was to obey neither. Now Darius was a clever person. He could guess the emperor's thought pattern from their video chat and he was left in a dilemma. If both the founder and Zummi chose to clash heads, who would he support? On one side was the current Ruler, and on the other side was the founding Ruler."What am I supposed to say when we wake him up? Umm, hello sir... You have been asleep for more than two centuries and I am your descendant. We would like to welcome you to.. uh...? Does that sound right?" He muttered to himself."Sir..." His assistant called him away from his thoughts. " ...They are about to begin the opening of the pod sir," The assistant said with unhidden excitement flashing through his eyes.Darius hesitated a bit. He and a couple of other special agents were opportune to be here with this expensive super suit. These suits were secret and different from the ones elite soldiers in the military used. The military version would only have an enhancement in strength and speed but the Man Hunters variant not only gave physical augment, but it also had cool weapons that would make any sci-fi nerd go insane with anxiety. It was only natural that they come like this with what they knew about Al'ravee.Regular Martial arts experts of the royal guards were at most capable of dodging ordinary pistol bullets as long as they were in the right environment and state of mind. But Al'ravee was a completely different case. He had trained hard on every technique they had then. His near-immortal body allowed him to endure more physical stress than others which gave him a flexibility and strength only dreamt of by others. He was capable of zoning out on different sounds on the battlefield. This easily made him able to predict and dodge sniper shots at a particular range while running fast enough to escape the rapid-fire by mere centimeters.Videos of his spars still existed in their database and it was said that he had once taken out assassins sent to kill him all on his own during one of his campaigns to conquer the continent. There was even a rumor that Al'ravee had killed off over a hundred traitors of the original Hidden Gem Temple who had many firearms and deadly melee weapons, all with his bare hands. No one knew how true this was. After all, history was always written by the winners.Darius shook his head to eliminate the useless thoughts. He was confident that he alone would be capable of handling any unforeseen events if needed. The mechanical suit wasn't for show.He was not wrong though, that's if he was referring to the former Al'ravee."Let them begin." He ordered as he straightened back and puffed his chest out. The assistant nodded with a bright smile then headed for the team of yellow suits by the side, almost skipping his steps.Darius took a few steps back as he watched a six-wheeled child-size robot ride over to the pod. Stopping in front of the slightly dented pod, a circular saw assembled out of the robot's side and started trying to cut into the side.*SHIIIIIIIIING*They held their breaths in anticipation as the circular saw struggled to cut into the metal side, millimeter by millimeter.A laser cutter won't be too costly to provide for this bunch but they removed that option. They would rather retrieve the lost Founder of the Divera Dynasty unharmed.Darius was already thinking about the first thing to say and how to welcome him. Some people were thinking about the pod and the stuff that they could achieve with it. The atmosphere was really tense right now.And the tension only rose higher with what happened next.At that moment, everyone felt something shift in the atmosphere. The air was suddenly so hard to breathe in.Just like the locals said, imagine if you were stared at by hundreds of hungry wolves. That was how they felt, except it wasn't as intense as how the locals felt it.Subconsciously, the eyes of Darius, the first discoverer, the yellow-suited royal guards, and even tiny insects present fell on the glass panel on the pod where Al'ravee's face was supposed to show a peaceful expression and closed eyes... But his eyes were not closed.Al'ravee's eyes were wide open and they were staring straight at Darius.Subconsciously, the eyes of Darius, the first discoverer, the yellow-suited royal guards, and even the tiny insects present fell on the glass panel on the pod where Al'ravee's face was supposed to show a peaceful expression and closed eyes... But his eyes were not closed.Al'ravee's eyes were wide open and they were staring straight at Darius.########### When everybody saw Al'ravee awake, they all felt their heart skip a bit. The people present could not help but feel like the gravitational force had increased a bit. It was already hard for them to keep standing. The five royal guards in the super suit were better off. Although they felt the pressure, the suit reduced it by a lot.Among them, Darius was the one who received the full brunt of whatever was going on. His face had turned pale and his mind was screaming for him to get out of the way but he couldn't move a muscle. But to the onlookers, he wasn't feeling anything at all as he stood there the same way he had been doing. This
"Thank goodness. Try to control yourself now will you?" Ris said, looking at Al'ravees' naked form standing on the white clouds.Currently, both Ris and Al'ravee were present in a world where the ground was made of white clouds and the sky, a bright light blue. In front of them was a gigantic golden castle whose doors seemed fit for giants.Al'ravee didn't say anything in response to what Ris stated. The overwhelming and unstable thoughts he had then still brushed through his mind once in a while. "Well, no worries. You'll soon get a chance to test your might." Ris started. At this, Al'ravee smiled. Looking at the blue swallow-tail coat Ris was wearing, he made a light cough sound. Al'ravee didn't feel ashamed to stand anywhere naked actually. But he guessed he was about to meet some people and basic common sense required that he meet important people clothed, or at least represent able. Ris seemingly guessing what the young god was implying simply waved his hand and a set of clothes
This time it was Jurdelious who responded "Like your mother said Al'ravee, the universe is more or less like a game of Power. The gods are like the main players, any other thing is just a side character, a pawn to make the gods look good in front of their believers and help us gain more power. It doesn't matter which race they come from or which talents they possess." Jurdelious said in a matter-of-fact-ly manner.Ris and stylaff remained silent just like Ozia had done from the start. This was something they already knew long ago and even practiced now.'Talents?' Al'ravee wondered."The thing is." Krene continued, "That power is quite hard to get sometimes. You will go to places where the dos and don'ts are all set up by the most powerful and you might be expected to follow them as long as you are there.Just because we are eternal doesn't mean we can't die. Several things could kill gods lying around in the universe. Some of us might experience a concept lock and be forced to never a
Jurdelious, Krene, Ozia, Stylaff, and Ris exchanged glances. "*sigh* Clearly, someone has stolen it."Ozia spoke in that monotone robotic voice of his."Yes, someone powerful enough to avoid our detection," Krene stated as she rested her back on her chair."What do we do?" Ris asked.Jurdelious answered, "I'll take care of it in the future. Since everyone here has used it, we won't be needing it anytime soon, at least this person didn't hurt Al'ravee."Al'ravee was stumped. ‘That thing was literally inside me.'"Why wasn't I able to choose the concept of reality?" He asked."I'm guessing that this was a thoughtful intervention on the thief's part, even if you had gotten it, you would have not been able to use it properly. It would have caused a concept lock." Krene answered.Al'ravee still didn't know what exactly a concept lock was."Anyways." Krene waved her hand to grab everyone's attention and to change the topic, before turning to Al'ravee, "You said you got the concept of force?"
Krene suddenly stood up and with a wave of her hand, the table and chairs disappeared. Al'ravee and the others did not fall though, they just straightened themselves mid-air."You will need to learn some concepts if you want to have an easy time." She said as Jurdelious and the others walked out of the room. It was just Al'ravee and his mother right now."One of them is the concept of communication, it's very easy to comprehend so I want you to meditate on it. First of all, I want you to calm yourself and tell me when you are ready."Al'ravee did as instructed, he closed his eyes for a moment to steady his breathing and relax his muscles. No need to be tense here, if they wanted him dead, there was nothing he could do about it. "I'm ready."Krene nodded, "Now try to talk to me, but don't open your mouth or make any hand signs. Do this until you receive a reply from me."Al'ravee followed her words. He continuously tried to send the word 'hey', each time awaiting a response. He kept o
As for you and Ozia, you shall be tasked with wiping out every human on Planet Green Cloud"."Wait what?"####Six figures appeared in a vast space with nothing but darkness. The entire region was void of any lifeforms and matter. At the far edges of the realm, eight multi-colored horizontal and vertical lines indicated that these six figures were inside some sort of humongous cube. This was the Pantheon realm that Krene had created just now after Al'ravee and the others had officially formed the Pantheon."Why do you want me to wipe out every human on Planet Green Cloud, isn't it fine just the way it is?" Al'ravee asked. He might have no qualms about doing some terrible things but... Completely killing off every human on Planet Green Cloud was still a bit too much for him.Jurdelious who floated beside him smiled "That feeling you have there, make sure to remember it. It's the reason why most gods would never get too attached to mortals".Al'ravee remained silent. Yes, he felt a sens
Planet Green Cloud had just five continents and all of them were currently habitable and collectively occupied by a total of twenty billion humans. The Divera Dynasty which occupied the third largest continent happened to be in the center of three other continents. One can say the Divera Dynasty saw all other nations as child's play.Unfortunately for the Divera continent, a ball of fire decided to fall into one of the residential areas in one of its cities.#########"Ooh! Mummy look, what's that?" A four-year-old little boy said as he pointed to the sky with his chubby little fingers. The middle-aged woman who walked beside him raised her head to observe what her son was pointing at.She narrowed her eyes to get a better look at the far away bright orange dot that seemed to be heading towards them. Her eyes widened in shock as she realized the speed at which the object was moving."Quick! run!" She shouted and grabbed her son's hand firmly, dashing back away from the spot where the
As Al'ravee stood there to contemplate his next course of action. "Hey! What's going on here... *gasp*" A man's voice sounded out from Al'ravee's side.Three armed enforcers in black uniforms stopped in their tracks when they saw the child's head in Al'ravee's grasp. Even their years of experience never prepared them to see such brutality.*Click Click*"On the ground!, right now!. Put your hands where I can see them. C'mon, on the ground". They all pointed their guns at Al'ravee while their leader gave out orders. They all thought Al'ravee had used a blunt-cutting weapon to kill the boy. Never did it cross their mind that Al'ravee had just ripped the head off from the way he held it.Al'ravee who had guns pointed at him was immediately annoyed. He wasn't upset that they interrupted him, he could pause his mind calculations to focus on other things and even multitask so it wasn't a bother. He was just annoyed because he could afford to be annoyed.Al'ravees' right arm blurred as he th
“Priya! What was that?” Clancy came over with worry for Priya. She had previously left Priya alone because Galgamuth was present, but when she heard that loud noise, she became very worried.Luckily, from what she was seeing, no harm was done.“Galgamuth is down there,” Priya said while frowning. She faced the direction from whence the being came from.Clancy looked over. Because of the wall, she couldn't see who was there but she could see traces of a red glow she recognized too well, and a foreign green glow.“Priya, let's go.” Clancy said as she saw the intensity of this glow fluctuating. They both knew Galgamuth had encountered someone who was keeping him occupied for now.Anyone who could keep Galgamuth busy for so long was definitely not an ordinary person. And if this was to break into a fight…“Priya, we have to go now!” Clancy repeated, this time raising her voice to allow Priya to register the alarm in her tone.If this was indeed going to break into a fight, they had better
Meanwhile,Priya sat on the balcony as usual, this time accompanied by Galgamuth only.Galgamuth had his hands on the railings as he anxiously clenched down on them.“No need to be worked up, I have a feeling that things will go well,” Priya said while putting on a gentle smile.Hearing this, Galgamuth breathed heavily, “Did you get a vision?” He asked, his eyes filled with a longing for hope.Priya shook her head, “Unfortunately, no.”Galgamuth sighed helplessly.“But you shouldn't be worrying, even if something was going to happen, I'm sure a miracle will put everything in order,” Priya stated.Galgamuth turned to look at Priya with a strange look, “Miracle?” He scoffed, “I never took you as one who believes in taking chances.”Priya smiled at this, “Indeed, I don't believe in taking chances, that doesn't mean miracles can't happen.”“Miracle or not, that doesn't change things much. You're starting to sound just like Talliu.” Galgamuth said this with an awful expression.“Although h
The sudden transformation into a large two-tailed fire fox startled the enemy combatants.Rijinna, in her fox form, lunged at the nearest person to her, which was a non-human.She jumped over ten meters to sink her teeth into the neck of the non-human.“Aaaaaargh!”The green-skinned man shouted frantically as those needlepoint teeth pierced into his soft neck. For a brief moment, the rain of bullets on Rijinna stopped as the shooters hesitated to shoot their comrade, but that hesitation would cost them. Not stopping to check if her victim was dead, the fire fox went after the next person closest to her, bringing all her intent to massacre along with her.At this point, Darius and the others arrived at the edge of the bowl-shaped crater.Everyone quickly ran out of their land rovers with their firearms. Among them, a few of the combatants had gone to the trunks to take their surprisingly large guns. Darius was one of these few.His rifle was almost two meters long, sharing height with
Meanwhile. The twenty-nine landrovers all sped up after seeing the explosion. The black land rover on the other hand slowed down until the last vehicle behind it overtook it.The twenty-nine dirt brown land rovers continued onward. The black vehicle eventually slowed down. The driver opened the door casually and stepped out.*CRANK!*It was like the land rover had been suffering from having to carry a heavy burden. The noise coming from it after the driver alighted would raise questions anywhere. The driver himself had an appearance that didn't lose out to Rijinna.Standing more than six feet tall with a bald head and a stony gaze, his entire body seemed to be a statue… literally. He looked like a work of art that was carved out of magnificent grey stone. His muscles seemed well moulded and his jawline was as sharp as a cliff.Every movement of his was accompanied by a grating sound, like a stone rubbing against another stone.“Zillis, do your thing.” From the radio in the car, Darius
One beautiful moon hung in the sky of planet Tavron. The light reflecting from the Daystar conveniently bounced off the moon, allowing the moonlight to shine on the still-recovering wasteland continent. The atmosphere seemed so peaceful and pretty, if only this silence could last till the end of time. Alas…A convoy of makeshift land rovers, thirty to be exact, rode fiercely on the dry wasteland like dirty mechanical beasts. All of them were armored, while ten of them had guns mounted on the top with someone manning them.A swarm of one hundred-odd bikes rode around this convoy, with two geared-up humans sitting on each bike. The combined roars of their engines scared away all low-level life forms while forcing the bold ones to remain rooted in place until they passed.Large centipedes and other nocturnal creatures could be seen scurrying into their burrows.Out of the thirty armored land rovers, the twenty-ninth on the line seemed a bit different from the rest. Not only was its mount
Ozia nodded his head, “Then what about your name? You need to add more to your name, your mother might have named you but that doesn't mean you can't add to it.”Al'ravee nodded back at the machine-based god, “Yes” He said, “I can feel the annoying vain calls of mortals, it needs to be extended. I never planned on leaving it just the way it is anyway.”As Al'ravee said this he looked down at his hand, the perfect grey color reminded him of someone.Al'ravee opened his mouth to name himself. “My name shall be, Al'ravee Divera Murreleous Randolez Takuti Weada Balcin…”Al'ravee listed a total of twenty-two words for his full name. Some names came from his reference to certain people or places.Space seemed to want to flow and break at the mention of that full name. From now on, unless someone knew and called Al’ravee’s full name, he would never notice. As though to prove a point, the calls that had been in his head for some time immediately disappeared. No longer was he annoyed by the na
“To think this mortal was able to derive an approximate time for our arrival, she has even seen your rough image, that's impressive,” Ozia said, his voice was laced with genuine praises.Currently, Al'ravee, Iyah, Norderline, and Ozia stood on the outer surface of the Golden Eye spaceship.“Who?” Al'ravee asked as he stared at the magnificent and humongous planet thousands of kilometers ahead.“There's a mortal who possesses the Oracle Talent in the same environment as your Darius descendant. She already knows we are here.” Ozia said, his glowing red eyes focused on one point in particular on one of the continents.Al'ravee looked at Ozia and then followed his eyes to the continent he was looking at. His two eyes immediately turned into two mirror balls as he manifested his concept of sight. He locked on to a wide stretch of wastelands, looking further, his eyes found a black fortress that seemed to have a lot of people gathering near its gate.On further inspection, he saw an old lad
Priya and Clancy walked side by side, with Clancy's hand resting on the former’s right shoulder.“Darius has successfully integrated himself into our society as an inexpensive asset.” Clancy began, her voice echoing across the long spacious hallway.“Yes, he has,” Priya replied, undisturbed by the sudden words. The walls in the hallway were a smooth light grey, as though they had been sculpted into existence, rather than being built brick by brick.“We watched him rise over the past ten years, right under our noses…” Clancy continued. “Yes, we did,” Priya said.“His accomplice, Talliu, is peacefully placing both hope and doubts in the hearts of the commune's members, hope that goes against what we stand for, doubt over the very purpose of what we stand for.”“I know.”“We could have stopped it, but you told us some years back after your injury that they would be beneficial to our cause.”“Yes, I did…” They reached the end of the hallway, taking a turn down the spiral staircase before
“Omega Vitamin?” One of the figureheads said with a grave expression. He had a short stature and had bushy black beards on his face.Darius placed his hands on the table, allowing his weight to rest on them. He breathed in and out slowly, his mind engaged in deep thoughts.“Yes, Omega Vitamin,” Galgamuth said. For some reason, everyone seemed to hover between the thin line of joy and sorrow, not knowing how they should feel.“From the letter, this Omega Vitamin is being sent here from their headquarters. How they managed to lay their hands on it is unknown, what is of concern to us is that they are sending it right into the arms of the Vaderian Cult base.”“Being concerned is one thing, doing something about it is another.” said another blonde-haired man at the table who wore black-rimmed glasses.“If this is the case what do you suggest we do?” Another woman asked.Subconsciously, they all turned to look at Priya who still had her eyes closed. “I already tried, I can't see any outco
