Chapter 40: Concept Testing

As Al'ravee stood there to contemplate his next course of action.

"Hey! What's going on here... *gasp*" A man's voice sounded out from Al'ravee's side.

Three armed enforcers in black uniforms stopped in their tracks when they saw the child's head in Al'ravee's grasp. Even their years of experience never prepared them to see such brutality.

"On the ground!, right now!. Put your hands where I can see them. C'mon, on the ground". They all pointed their guns at Al'ravee while their leader gave out orders.

They all thought Al'ravee had used a blunt-cutting weapon to kill the boy. Never did it cross their mind that Al'ravee had just ripped the head off from the way he held it.

Al'ravee who had guns pointed at him was immediately annoyed. He wasn't upset that they interrupted him, he could pause his mind calculations to focus on other things and even multitask so it wasn't a bother.

He was just annoyed because he could afford to be annoyed.

Al'ravees' right arm blurred as he threw the head at the men with full force.

SWOOSH!... BAM!

The head promptly disappeared and the next thing they knew, the man on the right flew off the ground at a surprising speed. The force of the thrown head caused the man to curl up like a shrimp as he broke through the fence and then the wall of the house behind him.

Al'ravee stared in shock at the hole in the wall about nine meters away from him. He had known he was strong now but he hadn't tested it out.

He hadn't even reached the limit of his power yet but he could already send a man flying like he was hit by a speeding truck.

The remaining two enforcers stared at the hole too with their mouths wide open in shock. Al'ravees' hand had moved too fast for them to react.

"Eliot?.." The leader called out.

As for the victim himself, he was dead. Most houses in this area were made of concrete so even though his body went through the wall, it was damaged and broken beyond repair.

The man was already dead the moment the head hit his abdomen.

The enforcers didn't wait any longer, immediately opening fire on Al'ravee. Well, what else could they do?

TA TA TA TA TA TA TA TA

Al'ravee instinctively wanted to dodge due to muscle memory. He subconsciously raised his hand to protect his eyes.

*THIK THIK THIK THIK…*

'Wow,' He thought in wonder as the bullets bounced off his body and fell to the ground. 'I barely felt that.'

CLACK CLACK

The enforcers ran out of bullets but Al'ravee was still standing, looking at them the same way a child would look at an ant he didn't want to kill.

*WHOOSH*

*CRACK *

*BAM*

*RUMBLE*

Al'ravee suddenly disappeared from their sight, leaving feet-sized cracks on the ground. They subconsciously followed the cracks with their back soaked in sweat.

"That was embarrassing, wasn't it?" A deep voice sounded out right behind them.

They turned back to see Al'ravee coming out of another hole in the house behind them while brushing off the stones on his shoulder.

"What the..."

Before the leader could finish cursing, Al'ravee appeared in front of them as his hands shot at their necks.

"Aaaaaaaaargh!..."

"Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaargh!.."

Their screams were the only thing heard as Al'ravee jumped over fifty meters upward with the men still in his vice-like grip.

As they reached the climax of the jump, Al'ravee took a moment to measure the angle of a tall building in the distance before using his full arm strength to hurl one of the men in the direction of the said building.

Not minding the flying screaming man, he let gravity bring him down as he placed the other enforcer below his knee so that when he hit the ground...

*BAM*

*SPLASH*

Al'ravees' knees smashed through the man's torso, completely dividing him into two and spreading cracks on the ground.

He stood up, ignoring the blood on his knee. That was overkill, but no one was complaining.

Raising his strange mirror eyes to the sky, Al'ravee saw Ozia's handwork.

*CRACK*

Large silver cracks appeared in the sky five hundred or so meters above him. Then as the sky shattered, a ten-metre-wide redish-white spherical portal appeared in the sky.

Using his special eyes, he could see all the souls of the people he had killed suddenly being drawn towards the portal and then disappearing into it.

Deciding to check the portal later, Al'ravee turned to the direction he had thrown that enforcer.

*SWOOSH! BAM BAM BAM BAM*

Al'ravee ran at breakneck speed, leaving foot imprints every ten meters and crossing thirty meters in one second. That meant that Al'ravee was going at a speed of 108 km per hour... on foot.

He kept breaking through walls and sometimes jumping from houses before coming down to continue running. He also made sure to swiftly tear apart any person that came his way.

The area he landed at was a residential estate with light security assigned to it. By this time of the day, not many people would be here compared to a commercial area or busy place. So he had to go to a busy part of the city, which he guessed was that cluster of tall buildings he threw the enforcer to.

The estate was not large so it didn't take long before Al'ravee was out, leaving collapsed houses and torn flesh behind.

He still had more tests to do.

[Civil District]

On a square surrounded by tall buildings and filled with moving cars, people were minding their own business either going to work or someplace else.

"...Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaargh..."

*CRASH*

Suddenly, everyone heard a scream of terror followed by the sounds of broken glass.

Luckily, the people who were directly under the place where the crash was heard quickly moved away in panic.

Soon, four enforcers rushed into the building to check the cause of the chaos, leaving the road unattended.

In the center of the square was a man-sized statue of one of the men who had assisted Al'ravee in becoming the founder of the Divera Dynasty. The square had four roads, each heading to the north, south, east, and west respectively with each of them being able to contain four land vehicles. Two lanes on the left heading backward and two on the right heading forward.

There was hardly any traffic in this region so it was a surprise to hear the sound of screeching tires.

Up ahead, the driver of an eight-tired lorry had just made a turn from the north road to the east road and noticed a human figure land on the road in front of him.

The driver panicked and hit the brakes but the human figure was too close to the lorry so...

*CRASH*

Everyone who had been able to see what happened expected the mysterious man to be run over by the lorry and have his bones broken to pieces.

Contrary to what the onlookers and the driver thought would happen, the lorry immediately stopped in place like it had hit an immovable pillar. The front of the lorry had caved in on the person that was hit.

The person himself who was none other than Al'ravee didn't budge a bit, he didn't even move an inch. Only a small area beneath the sole of his feet which had cracks was a testament to how much force the moving lorry had.

Al'ravee pushed away the lorry parts and walked out of the rummage, looking quite terrifying to the onlookers. He could see them using their mobile devices to record the strange scene.

The young god sighed. Not at them though but at himself. At the reunion, his mother had given him loads of information about the basics of godhood and some other necessary additions. And the basics were... a lot.

Just skimming through it, he knew it would have taken him a lot of years to figure it out on his own. 'No wonder Ris took so long to power up. He probably had to figure things out on his own. *sigh* Privileges of having powerful parents I guess'.

The part of the information he was now checking was highlighted as one of the most important and it was on concepts.

If a god gained the concept of Fire, he or she could easily comprehend concepts related to it like the concept of Heat, the concept of Burn, the concept of Combustion, and many others.

By using their concept of concept energy to power other concepts, gods and goddesses could manifest their abilities in numerous ways.

'That explains a lot'. Al'ravee thought referring to the increase in his body's power and weight after infusing ten percent of his his reserve concept energy into it.

Al'ravee shook his head to get rid of unnecessary thoughts. From the onlookers' point of view, he had been standing in the middle of the road for a second or two.

He decided to try something out.

Since his concept of force was not going anywhere, he wanted to try gaining a concept that he was also interested in.

Besides, he had enough playtime to test out many things.

Quickly gathering his thoughts and checking the mental guide for some conformations, he stretched out his hand to the lorry and muttered under his breath "Electricity."
