Chapter 68: Mother Cyrix

Seeing the raging mother Cyrix coming after him, Darius turned into the cluster of boulders and ran, he ran as fast as his legs could carry him.

Like an out of control wrecking ball, the big Cyrix smashed its plumpy sides into many big rocks, which slowed it down for some time. Even then, it was still closing in.

Darius could hear the grunts of the Cyrix coming closet and closer to him. Darius had already reached speeds previously impossible for him, he just didn't know it yet.

Spotting a thin but sturdy looking dry tree not too far from him at the end of the boulder forest, he pushed himself harder so that he could reach it.

Upon arriving, Darius jumped like never before, narrowly escaping a nasty bite to his thighs.

He quickly crawled his way to the second lowest branch before looking down. Thankfully, the Cyrix could not climb after him, it just kept on screeching from the ground.
